Staff excellent and caring, nothing too much trouble, polite and helpful. Room airy and light, with a lovely view of the gardens. Food seems to be excellent.
Staff are fantastic and very on the ball with Covid-19 lockdown as it was implemented early and all residents are safe.

My mother went into Clarence House in June 2019, when she could no longer manage at home. Staff, there were very supportive, helping to find a place at short notice. For a year now they have provided effective individual care, taking into account food intolerances, medication, restricted mobility and
various medical conditions. Contact with a wider support network has been very good, with the District Nurse attending regularly.
I have found the staff to be invariably cheery, respectful and helpful, for both my mother and visitors, making the care home a very supportive and welcoming place to be. My mother often tells me how kind people are to her. The food menu is varied and balanced, with options to cater to food intolerances. Communication is good- staff keep me informed so that I have not felt the need to attend the family meetings that are available. Phone contact has been good during the coronavirus restrictions. The use of sound safety policies has been very reassuring.

Staff excellent and extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble, polite and helpful. Food seems to be excellent. Room airy and light, with a lovely view of the gardens. Staff are very helpful in this very testing lockdown and residents are all safe through the early planning of no visitors; well done
to all!

I came into Clarence House from hospital for 2 weeks respite. I was greeted at the door by a very pleasant young lady with a ready smile. My room was clean, with plenty of space for personal items. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout my stay by all the friendly staff. The meals were very
good and varied, with tea and coffee unlimited. If I need care in the future I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Clarence House. Pleasant stay.

My husband stayed at Clarence House for a short while after having a stroke and was waiting to be transferred to a rehabilitation centre. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - so caring and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped us both through a very difficult period. I can't thank
them enough.

Although my mum was only in Clarence House for 2 days she was made to feel welcome in a very homely setting. The staff were always very helpful and the manageress was very accommodating. Mum's individual needs were met and nothing was too much trouble.

Our mother was a resident at Clarence House in Brigg for only 10 days prior to her death on the 29th November.
We were very fortunate to spend the last few days with mum being supported by the excellent level of professional, thoughtful and extremely caring staff team
Every single member of the staff
team went over and above to make our mum and ourselves feel as comfortable as possible in the most extremely difficult circumstances.
We cannot thank you enough for sharing this difficult experience with us.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.492)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.492) out of 10 for Clarence House Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.692 for Clarence House Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 91 Ratings = 4.692
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clarence House Care Centre is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 registered maximum number of service users is 6.6, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
