My dad has only been with Manor Care since September and so far it's all been a very positive experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive and go out of their way to welcome the residents and their visiting families. The home is clean and well organised and I am confident that we picked
the right place for my dad to settle down in. He loves his new room, where it is a good size and a good sized bathroom too. I highly recommend this care home to anyone looking around this area and not sure which one to choose.

I couldn't have wished for a better place for my Nan to spend the last few years of her life. Whenever I visited her she always looked very well cared for. Staff here are incredibly professional and friendly and I could tell that they genuinely care about the residents.
When I visited Nan in her final
days staff also took the time to check in with me and ask if I needed anything, which at such a difficult time means so much.
I would absolutely recommend this care home to anyone looking for care for their relative, they do a truly amazing job.

My dad unexpectedly was brought in under emergency respite. He has recently become a permeant resident of manor care centre. This was decided after a heartbreaking review and assessment for what was best for my dad's long term care needs for his advanced dementia and heart condition.

I honestly

can't praise Lisa and her team enough. Lisa has been amazing and the love she shows for her resident's is beyond's word's. Nothing is too much trouble and she understands she is looking after someone's loved one, like it is a member of her own family.

The home is spacious and has lovely grounds and bright and colourful inside. My dad is clean and looked after by the most caring of people one can imagine. Thank you all you do for my dad and the residents. You are amazing in all ways

My mother moved to Culm Valley Care Home in July. Me and my siblings, and mum's carers who remain in place to visit her weekly, are all very pleased with the care provided. All the staff are very kind to mum, and us. They are considerate, polite and there to lend a hand if help is needed on our visits.
They are sensitive to mum's needs. There is plenty of communication between staff and residents.
The reception staff listen carefully to all my concerns & desires to keep my mum comfortable. They are always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble, being super efficient & dealing with everything quickly & professionally.
The activities are plentiful & varied and the activities lady is very jolly & imaginative, doing her very best to include as many people as she can and the staff are also good at joining in.
The home is spacious, with pleasant areas to move around in. There are a few areas in need of updating. Perhaps more air freshener upstairs would be nice :-)

My Dad has been a resident since Jan 2025 and from day 1 when Sam the Manager had to sit on the back of the Ambulance and encourage Dad to trust her and get him into the home we knew that this was the perfect place for him. Following a stay in a mental health unit where we were not so happy with his
care we were so happy that Dad was moving to Oaklands.
All the staff are absolutely amazing and care for Dad so well, he is very settled and all the agitation his Dementia caused previously seems to have gone.
His personal care needs and grooming are all taken care of. His clothing is always clean and freshly laundered and he looks smart and tidy. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff if you ask them for something and they are always friendly and polite. My Dad's room is always clean and tidy with his personal photos put on the wall by the maintenance team. They send us photos and videos. Thank you Sam and team from a very grateful family.

We are so completely blown away by the care my Grandmother is currently receiving at Culm Valley.

From the moment we arrived with her we were all made to feel welcomed.
The staff did an excellent job of settling her in with dignity, and directing the conversations at her rather than us which was

such a gentle nod to her still having some independence and choice during a difficult, and probably frightening, transition in her life.

We're seeing a whole new side to someone that was previously sedentary and disinterested in any activities or leaving the house. This is, in no small part, thanks to the staff and residents at the home who have made her feel so at home and comfortable in such a short space of time.

The food is amazing; we attended the harvest Festival yesterday and the quality and quantity of food was really good.

We were a little dubious after reading some of the negative reviews, but our experience has been excellent so far.

Dad was taken into The Fountains after previously being at another nursing home for a short period, where they said they couldn't meet his needs. He had dementia.
From the day he arrived all the staff were good with him and once they got to know his needs and quirks they were very accommodating with
him.He had his moments but nothing was too much trouble for this brilliant team.
Not living locally it was a comfort to know Dad was in good hands and there was always someone on the end of the phone to assure us he was doing ok.
Dad sadly passed away 19th July and we all managed to visit him before his passing. The staff kept us well informed as he suddenly started to deteriorate and their caring manner was very much appreciated.
