My mum suffers with late stages of dementia and care at home was becoming too much. Martins care home took on the care of my mum very quickly. I cannot praise them enough for how well the staff made her feel at home and put all her family at ease. Very flexible with family visiting and very polite and
make you feel welcome.

They have many activities and also extra perks that my mum has enjoyed very much. They have made the change for my mum seamless and very efficient. Don't think i could recommend a better place. If someone is looking for a great clean place and great staff this would have to be one of the best out there.

Can't thank them enough for what they have done for not just my mum but also my dad.

Reply from Nicky Cox, Administrator at Martin Hall Nursing HomeThank you so much for your positive comments and we are so pleased to hear that you and dad are pleased with the care your mum is receiving. I am happy and feel safe here, now I'm not fit enough to live on my own. The staff are very patient with me if I forget anything and they are all very caring. Below is to justify my interest in the medication I'm given and why! I'm aware things change! I worked as a district nurse then sister before
moving into general practice, 2 "shared" me, as I was. We had many meetings in Europe and America when drug companies started paying for us to study for many health diplomas and drugs involved.

All the staff are helpful, polite, and the home feels like a proper community. Staff are interested in residents' lives prior to entering care. They go the extra mile. Arranging for photographs to be framed and put up on a resident's wall, etc.
My father absolutely loves his room, is always complimenting
them on their care, helpfulness and the activities organised. I couldn't ask for more! A huge stress and concern was removed knowing he is so happy, healthy, loved and having the best time possible.

My wife was admitted into Culm Valley Care Centre from 19-10-2025 for 6 weeks until
30-11-2025.
Previous to that she was in Culm Valley from 5-1-2025 until 9-3-2025. My family and I realised she was happy there the first time so I asked for her to go there in October. It is clean, the food is excellent,
plenty of activity or a quiet time watching television. The staff excellent. Yes I would recommend Culm Valley to who needs care & looking after.
Reply from Liji Binish, Deputy Manger at Culm Valley Care CentreThank you for your kind review. It is a pleasure to know that your wife enjoys the care she receives. We aim to provide person-centred, high-quality care, prioritising the needs of our residents while also supporting their families.

I found the care and compassion of everyone we had contact with, was really reassuring. Everyone know about him, his needs and wants and also they were keen to understand him as a person and interested in his past. I really felt like they were all trying to do their absolute best to make him as comfortable
as possible. Martin Hall really does know how to care in the truest sense. I would definitely recommend them.

My Dad has been a resident at Oaklands for nearly 3 years now and is very settled. I cannot praise Sam and the entire team enough for the amazing care Dad receives. They treat him with respect and help him maintain his dignity even in difficult moments. They are angels. I do not live in the UK and the
fact that I can go to bed every night knowing he is looked after and cared for in this way makes the difficulty of being so far away while facing this cruel illness much less stressful. The lovely activities ladies also find time to make a video call with Dad every week so I can see him and have a little chat, which obviously makes me very happy. What more can I say, a great care home with very very special, caring staff.

Mum moved here a few weeks ago. Already she is looking settled. Weight done within 24 hours, yet the old home couldn't do. DOLs started the process - old one gave excuses as to why they didn't do finger nails cut, cleaned, shaped - old one, they were disgusting - which in turn led to skin rips, of which
her skin is healing now! Care here is how it should be.
