The staff are amazing, always so friendly and helpful! My mum is very well cared for and always has a smile on her face. The staff are always there to answer questions. My aunt & uncle came to visit, and the staff made us tea & coffee with biscuits, and we didn't have to ask! Just always nice walking away knowing my mum is getting looked after so well.

My mum suffers with late stages of dementia and care at home was becoming too much. Martins care home took on the care of my mum very quickly. I cannot praise them enough for how well the staff made her feel at home and put all her family at ease. Very flexible with family visiting and very polite and make you feel welcome.

They have many activities and also extra perks that my mum has enjoyed very much. They have made the change for my mum seamless and very efficient. Don't think i could recommend a better place. If someone is looking for a great clean place and great staff this would have to be one of the best out there.

Can't thank them enough for what they have done for not just my mum but also my dad.

All the staff are helpful, polite, and the home feels like a proper community. Staff are interested in residents' lives prior to entering care. They go the extra mile. Arranging for photographs to be framed and put up on a resident's wall, etc.

My father absolutely loves his room, is always complimenting them on their care, helpfulness and the activities organised. I couldn't ask for more! A huge stress and concern was removed knowing he is so happy, healthy, loved and having the best time possible.

I found the care and compassion of everyone we had contact with, was really reassuring. Everyone know about him, his needs and wants and also they were keen to understand him as a person and interested in his past. I really felt like they were all trying to do their absolute best to make him as comfortable as possible. Martin Hall really does know how to care in the truest sense. I would definitely recommend them.

My mum moved here from a previous care home, staff were so welcoming to my mum and all of her family. She settled in well. Mum looked so peaceful here. Food looked amazing, staff were very empathetic, caring. Her room was lovely and spacious, always clean and tidy in the home. Staff rang if any updates. Mum passed away several weeks ago , staff were so supporting towards her family. I can't thank the amazing staff here enough.Wished we had chosen here in the first place. Thank you Alison, Alina, Bogdan and all other staff who took care of my mum.

My father moved to Martin initially for respite care. All the staff are very caring and attentive. His needs were all met and he had a brand new room with ensuite facilities. A huge thank you to all the staff for their help over this period.

My husband was admitted to Martin Hall with delirium and challenging behaviour. The manager and team not only dealt with my husband in a very caring way (even with the abuse he gave). They supported me in everyway. I am pleased to say he is now home with me. I will be given respite allowance and I hope Martin Hall will have room for him. I don't want him to go anywhere else. Would I recommend Martin Hall? 100%

Mum moved here a few weeks ago. Already she is looking settled. Weight done within 24 hours, yet the old home couldn't do. DOLs started the process - old one gave excuses as to why they didn't do finger nails cut, cleaned, shaped - old one, they were disgusting - which in turn led to skin rips, of which her skin is healing now! Care here is how it should be.

My husband was discharged to Martin Hall from hospital, and despite not being where we would have chosen, the overall experience was very good. the home is undergoing refurbishment, as it is very tired, and should be excellent when complete. We found the care to be first rate, compassionate and person centred, and my husband would have remained there, had it not been so far from home. Sincere thanks is due to all the staff, manager and on site occupational therapy team.

This care home is such a breath of fresh air from the previous care home experience. They are very attentive to their residents and offer superb dementia care. If mother rings her bell they are there within a couple of minute and deal with whatever is needed. They go the extra mile when required to offer comfort and company to their residents. Even the manager gets involved with the residents during her working day to talk or maybe assist. The food offered is of a very good quality and with variety. There always seems to be adequate staff on shift and I can recommend this care home enough.

My husband has lived at Martin Hall Nursing Home for over 6 years. He has always been well cared for and he enjoys the home cooked food. The staff have always been accommodating with his changing needs as his Dementia progresses. Any problems, someone always rings me to make me aware. The home is always clean and the staff is always helpful. Occasionally, I have had a problem finding a member of staff but it is usually because they are busy with other residents.

I caught a member of staff trying to steal my money. Waiting too long for help to go to the toilet and even worse off at night. Haven't seen my room cleaned properly once.

Mum has Parkinson's so she spends most of her time asleep. Whenever we visit she is always clean and comfortable and nicely dressed, despite being fast asleep. Her room is clean and tidy and the staff often put things out for her to look at or a soft toy to sleep with.
I speak with the nursing and caring staff regularly and they are always aware of her condition, her likes and dislikes.

I couldn't ask for a more caring and attentive home for her to be in.

With my stepmother's advanced dementia, and living 300-plus miles away from the nursing home, I'm very grateful for the updates and feedback provided by the nursing home, through the helpful administrative support and my stepmother's personal carer. This support is invaluable to me and more importantly to my stepmother.
