Mum was placed here for STC in February following a fall, losing mobility and UTI resulting in a permanent catheter - whilst waiting for 4 visits a day homecare. The management and support staff ensured mum was looked after with dignity, she gained weight as a result of eating well, and her fluids went
up too. After a diagnosis of VD, Mum is now a permanent resident. The transition was made so easy by the support of all staff during a stressful time for our family living away.
Reply from Bogdan Florea, Manager at Homer Lodge Care CentreThank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that your mum has been well cared for and supported with dignity during such a difficult and emotional time for your family. Its wonderful to know she has settled well, improved her nutrition and hydration, and that the transition to becoming a permanent resident was made easier through the support of our team. Your kind words about our staff, care, and environment mean a great deal to us, and we will ensure they are shared with the whole team. Thank you for trusting us with your mums care.

My mum came here recently for a short stay. She was made welcome from the very start. The rooms are spotlessly clean, airy and spacious with plenty of personal storage. Her clothing was laundered and returned to her, taking the pressure off the family. The staff are caring and treated her with dignity
and respect. The food is lovely too. The managers are lovely and even gave her a sandwich to take home to eat later. I can thoroughly recommend this place.
Reply from Bogdan Florea, Manager at Homer Lodge Care CentreThank you so much for your kind words and recommendation. We are delighted to hear that your mum felt welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for during her stay with us. Our team works hard to provide a clean, homely environment where every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Its lovely to know that the care, food, laundry service, and support from our staff and management helped make her stay a positive experience for both your mum and your family. Your feedback means a great deal to us, and we will be sure to share your compliments with the whole team. We wish your mum all the very best and hope to welcome her again in the future if needed.

The staff are amazing, always so friendly and helpful! My mum is very well cared for and always has a smile on her face. The staff are always there to answer questions. My aunt & uncle came to visit, and the staff made us tea & coffee with biscuits, and we didn't have to ask! Just always nice walking
away knowing my mum is getting looked after so well.

What an incredible care home. Bursting at the seams with kindness, hard work and a dedication to every single resident. Monson is without doubt one of the best care homes in Lincoln - as the daughter of resident with complex needs they provide a safe and loving environment. The management are hands
on and communication is first class. In my opinion it's really hard getting older and making the transition to living in a care home harder and yet all the staff at Monson do all that is possible to ensure residents feel that this is their home.As a relative am welcomed, I can visit anytime, I can participate or spend time in with my mum in her lovely room or one of the many additional spaces . Her friends are welcome too and are all guests are treated to great hospitality. The location in the heart of a busy, diverse university city is brilliant, literally a stones throw from the city centre and with so many opportunities for the local amenities to be on hand. I would highly recommend

Our mum has been in The Nightingales for just over a year after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's & was unable to stay in her own home. From the start of the process of admitting mum, we were all treated with the upmost respect especially initially mum was not the easiest person to deal with due
to her illness.
The Nightingales is an extremely well managed care home, and all the staff are amazing and they go beyond their duty to make sure, firstly mum is well cared for and all her needs are met, secondly they look after the family. It is not easy putting your parent in a home, all the staff keep us well informed about mum, and we are rung and informed of any issues the crop up, illness etc.
There are activities most days and this is great for mum as she is very active and likes to be involved, from keep fit, bowling, knit & natter to name just a few.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home, well done to everyone.
Reply from Emma Steadman, Manager at Nightingale House Care CentreThank you so much for this review Wendy, your thoughtful comments really do mean a lot to us.

After receiving a diagnosis of confusion/pre dementia from Lincoln County Hospital we had to find a suitable care home for my mother. Nightingale House was recommended as one to visit on our list. We felt right from the first time we spoke to the manager that this was the right one for mother. From
the first visit we found the home to be spotlessly clean, smiling friendly staff, easy approach. Really attentive to residents needs and my mother is really happy.
Reply from Emma Steadman, Manager at Nightingale House Care CentreThank you so much for taking the time to leave us this lovely review, it is a pleasure to look after Mum. We really appreciate your comments and they will be shared with the staff team.

The Fountain care home is an excellent home from home experience for my father who recieves an impressive standard of care. Nothing is too much, staff are kind, caring and compassionate. Their approach is to provide a homely welcoming place to stay live. Outstanding! Care is of very high quality.
Reply from Carl Jones, Manager at The Fountains Care CentreWe are truly delighted to hear how well your father is settling in and that you feel confident in the care he receives. Creating a home-from-home environment is at the heart of everything we do, and knowing that this is reflected in your family's experience is incredibly rewarding. My mum suffers with late stages of dementia and care at home was becoming too much. Martins care home took on the care of my mum very quickly. I cannot praise them enough for how well the staff made her feel at home and put all her family at ease. Very flexible with family visiting and very polite and
make you feel welcome.
They have many activities and also extra perks that my mum has enjoyed very much. They have made the change for my mum seamless and very efficient. Don't think i could recommend a better place. If someone is looking for a great clean place and great staff this would have to be one of the best out there.
Can't thank them enough for what they have done for not just my mum but also my dad.
Reply from Nicky Cox, Administrator at Martin Hall Nursing HomeThank you so much for your positive comments and we are so pleased to hear that you and dad are pleased with the care your mum is receiving. I will pass all your comments on to the rest of the team. Once again thank you for taking the time to review us.

I am happy and feel safe here, now I'm not fit enough to live on my own. The staff are very patient with me if I forget anything and they are all very caring. Below is to justify my interest in the medication I'm given and why! I'm aware things change! I worked as a district nurse then sister before
moving into general practice, 2 "shared" me, as I was. We had many meetings in Europe and America when drug companies started paying for us to study for many health diplomas and drugs involved.

All the staff are helpful, polite, and the home feels like a proper community. Staff are interested in residents' lives prior to entering care. They go the extra mile. Arranging for photographs to be framed and put up on a resident's wall, etc.
My father absolutely loves his room, is always complimenting
them on their care, helpfulness and the activities organised. I couldn't ask for more! A huge stress and concern was removed knowing he is so happy, healthy, loved and having the best time possible.

I found the care and compassion of everyone we had contact with, was really reassuring. Everyone know about him, his needs and wants and also they were keen to understand him as a person and interested in his past. I really felt like they were all trying to do their absolute best to make him as comfortable
as possible. Martin Hall really does know how to care in the truest sense. I would definitely recommend them.

My mum moved here from a previous care home, staff were so welcoming to my mum and all of her family. She settled in well. Mum looked so peaceful here. Food looked amazing, staff were very empathetic, caring. Her room was lovely and spacious, always clean and tidy in the home. Staff rang if any updates.
Mum passed away several weeks ago , staff were so supporting towards her family. I can't thank the amazing staff here enough.Wished we had chosen here in the first place. Thank you Alison, Alina, Bogdan and all other staff who took care of my mum.

Mum initially went in for 2 weeks respite but is now in full time. As a family we cannot speak highly enough of all the staff throughout the care home. From the minute we walked in to have a look around, we have been made to feel so welcome and the team there feel like family. The care that they all
provide is absolutely second to none I cannot fault anything. They have fantastic activities twice a day an amazing menu everyday and frequent drinks and snacks throughout the rest of the day. The staff have made a very difficult and emotional decision so much easier and have been and still are a constant support to our family. I would definitely recommend Monson Care Home for your loved one

My husband was admitted to Martin Hall with delirium and challenging behaviour. The manager and team not only dealt with my husband in a very caring way (even with the abuse he gave). They supported me in everyway. I am pleased to say he is now home with me. I will be given respite allowance and I hope
Martin Hall will have room for him. I don't want him to go anywhere else. Would I recommend Martin Hall? 100%

Mum moved here a few weeks ago. Already she is looking settled. Weight done within 24 hours, yet the old home couldn't do. DOLs started the process - old one gave excuses as to why they didn't do finger nails cut, cleaned, shaped - old one, they were disgusting - which in turn led to skin rips, of which
her skin is healing now! Care here is how it should be.
