Reviews

7.5 Anley Hall has a Review Score of 7.5 (7.489)

The Review Score of 7.5 (maximum of 10) for Anley Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 4 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Anley Hall in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.383 for Anley Hall is calculated as follows: ( (20 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.383

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.106 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Anley Hall is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 = 3

    2. Target of 9.4 positive Reviews (47 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 9.4 Target = 0.106

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My mum came to Anley Hall in the latter stages of dementia and I can only praise all the care staff for their kindness, patience and respect for mum. They were especially kind towards both mum and me in those last days when mum became very poorly and passed away. Anley Hall is friendly and homely and in a large country house set in lovely gardens and surrounding fields. Mum's room was very pleasant overlooking some of the gardens and had just been newly decorated and provided everything that mum required. Whenever the staff could take her to sit in the lounge she was able to look on when any events took place. There are always some events each week to allow residents to participate. I know that my mum enjoyed any music and singing events and residents are encouraged to sing along. In between meal times, there are tea trolleys to provide drinks and biscuits and visitors are always offered something. I would certainly recommend Anley Hall to anybody requiring a care home.

Anley Hall is set in a beautiful setting and has wonderful, relaxing views of countryside. The care and attention given to my late husband was excellent- all members of staff, the owner, management, domestic, set above all the care staff. Staff were dignified and discreet, patient and always were prepared to spend time with residents. Humour helped "oil the wheels" of care. Not only are the care staff look after residents but also their relatives.

From our initial visit, prior to my mother in law moving to Anley Hall, it was clear to see what a friendly, homely establishment Anley is. Residents are clearly happy. The home is clean and welcoming. The staff are second to none, without exception every member of staff was lovely, residents are treated with respect and dignity, it is like they are caring for their own loved ones, I cannot praise the staff enough, they were exceptional. Staff members also made us, as visitors, feel incredibly welcome, there was always a cup of tea (and biscuits) on offer. My mother in law moved to Anley for end of life care, we really could not have wished for a better place for Flo to spend her final weeks.

My husband has been a resident at Anley Hall since may 2015, his general health has improved amazingly since he arrived. The staff are really friendly and do an excellent job and work really hard to make his stay as stress-free as possible. Some times things do go wrong as they do anywhere. But when this is pointed out they rectify this asap. My husbands room is rather small as it is in the older part of the building. The newer rooms are larger and en-suite but he has toilet and wash basin and is next door to the shower room. Despite this he likes the room.
