I have my uncle, who is 93 years old with dementia, resident at your Northallerton premises since leaving hospital, at your premises. I am so upset at the disgusting rooms, which have paint falling off the room walls in the corner, where the pipes are obviously covered over. The curtains have no linings
whatsoever, not on the rail correctly, in fact at Christmas I put up simple decorations, and today I actually removed the blue tack and leftover decorations myself as obviously your cleaners could not!!!

We are saddened to hear about your experience as we have not received any concerns in the past, though we fully understand that everyone's experiences are different and would like to reassure you we take all complaints seriously. We do have an open-door policy & encourage relative to contact us with any concerns so we can assist in resolving them immediately. The health, hygiene & wellbeing of our residents is of paramount importance to us, we take pride in all aspects of the care we provide and have a comprehensive daily cleaning program in place undertaken by our full team of domestics. We are in the process of updating the living areas and bedrooms but his can take time as we aim to minimise the disruption for the residents. They are also giving their input on the redecorating and colour schemes so they can personalise their rooms and include meaningful items to make if feel homely, your suggestions are also welcome so drop in anytime and thank you for your feedback.

Such wonderful caring patient staff, too many to give a shout out too. Two staff members in particular are amazing. every single member of staff we met were just fantastic.
We feel so happy seeing how well cared for mum is.

I recently visited Beechwood to see my Father. After my cousin had contacted me about my father's situation.
I found the staff very supportive not only to my Father, but also to myself, while visiting.
Having lived in New Zealand since 2001, I had only seen my father twice when he visited New Zealand
in 2012 & 2013.. I feared the worst when my cousin informed me that dad was now resident in a care home.
However to see him at ease, and enjoying the occasional singalong with the staff, reassured me that he is being well looked after. I wish to thank all of the staff for their care and attention to Dad..
If possible I would like to know the full names of one staff member in particular, and the lady that comforted me as I left my last visit, If it is possible I'd like to be able to thank them in writing personally..

My sister is a very difficult to deal with staff are very good to her. Her husband has settled very well he has come on very well since he has been at Beechwood. When he came he was in Bed all the time but is now going down into the lounge and is enjoying it he is also feeding himself

My sister-in-law is not very easy to deal with but the staff handle very well.
He husband has settled very well, he goes down to the lounge very day and enjoys the company of the other residents he is sitting in a chair where he went to Beechwoods he was bed bound so we are pleased with his progress.

My uncle was placed in Beechwood when discharged from hospital after a bad fall. He is 95 years old and it became clear he could not look after himself at home.
My uncle was very poorly when he first arrived at the home but since that time has improved greatly. I cannot praise the staff highly enough
for the support and care provided, not only for my uncle but to myself.
While my uncle will not return home, I am so relieved that he is safe and being cared for at Beechwood Care Home in Northallerton.

My mum has Alzheimer's and has been in Beechwood since July 2024. Was very difficult at the beginning but the care and understanding she received was brilliant. They have been so patient with her. I'm glad to say she has settled and seems happy there now. I've got to know the carers and they are all
lovely. The best part is that my little dog Betty is welcomed in and some of the other residents love to see her as well and have a cuddle.

My mother spent 2 weeks of respite care in this home. The staff were helpful and accommodating, making my mother feel welcome the minute she stepped through the door by calling her by her first name. My mother commented on how lovely and friendly the staff were and has turned around and said she would
like to return in the future.

The staff at Beechwood Nursing Home are brilliant, and makes this care home. They are kind, professional and hard working. They genuinely care about my mum, and she feels at home because of them. They treat her like the wonderful individual she is and encourage her to love the best life she can. The
home has a good manager, who has created the right culture that allows the staff to do well.

All staff were amazing, so kind and so helpful. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay at Beechwood. He was so looked after carers and nurses all very attentive to his needs. Several years ago a relative of my husband was in Beechwood and received excellent care. Which is why when this relative needed care I didn't look anywhere else.

Care and consideration towards the residents are good. All are known by their names and concern is shown with regard to their problems. Nursing care is satisfactory and available at all times. Meals are acceptable but could be more varied. Nighttime care is available and has improved lately. Rooms are
clean, including the ensure. More care could be taken with dressing the residents and attention to hair.

My mum entered Beechwood in December 2021 whilst the home was quarantined due to Covid. It was rather traumatic leaving her and we only had window visits for a few months. Mum always looked well and cared for. The home hit a blip with a failing CQC report but this care home has turned around. There
is excellent management and communication. There is now an activities coordinator. Mum passed away on the 15th of March 2024 but her care was exemplary. The home's best asset, the staff, from the domestic to the nurses/carers and management. It is very much like one large family and mum was loved like a valued relative.

My mother has been at Beechwood for around 5 months now. She was made very welcome by the wonderful staff, and we are happy with the great care and attention she receives. Visiting her is a pleasure as the staff are so welcoming to relatives as well!

I could not have wished for better care for my mother during her "end of life" at Beechwood Nursing Home. The nursing care was excellent, but the personal, friendly interaction was exceptional. I was so blessed that my mother ended her life in such wonderful care.

My mother-in-law was admitted following a fall. I can not thank the home enough for the help, support and compassion that they provided not only to my mother-in-law but also my wife during a very stressful and difficult time. My mother-in-laws last months were filled with joy and contentment and her
family were able to come and visit regularly.
Sadly my mother-in-law passed away back in October 2021, however, I can not thank the staff at Beechwood enough for all that did.
