Beechwood Nursing Home

I am highly satisfied with the care my wife receives from the staff at Beechwood Nursing Home.

Lots of his clothes have gotten lost while being in Beechwood Care Home.

My husband has been in Beechwood Nursing Home for approximately 8 months now. My initial experience was mixed in that I didn't feel welcomed by the staff and had concerns about how some of them responded to residents. However having raised issues with management I feel that my concerns are listened to and dealt with. On the whole, I feel staff are compassionate and kind, which is what I hope for although sometimes I am not sure how well trained they are to deal with "difficult" situations. I am not entirely satisfied with the meals in terms of nutrition and quality all of the time and I am conscious of when there is a pervading smell of urine which is less often than it was. I hope my comments can be seen as constructive and useful as intended.

My mum has been a resident of this carehome for two years now, during this time she has been cared for by a band of extremely caring, kind and dedicated members of staff. It is extremely reassuring many of the staff are the same from the time when she was first admitted. The staff know her extremely well, and we are happy to trust them with her care. Mum's time in Beechwood has been settled and brought her much calm during a difficult time in her battle with dementia.
