Mum is well looked after & staff are very kind.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will share this with the team who will be delighted with your comments
I have my uncle, who is 93 years old with dementia, resident at your Northallerton premises since leaving hospital, at your premises. I am so upset at the disgusting rooms, which have paint falling off the room walls in the corner, where the pipes are obviously covered over. The curtains have no linings whatsoever, not on the rail correctly, in fact at Christmas I put up simple decorations, and today I actually removed the blue tack and leftover decorations myself as obviously your cleaners could not!!!
We are saddened to hear about your experience as we have not received any concerns in the past, though we fully understand that everyone's experiences are different and would like to reassure you we take all complaints seriously. We do have an open-door policy & encourage relative to contact us...
We feel so happy seeing how well cared for mum is.
Thank you for your positive review. We will work on improving the areas which require improvement and look forward to you both visiting again soon.
I found the staff very supportive not only to my Father, but also to myself, while visiting.
Having lived in New Zealand since 2001, I had only seen my father twice when he visited New Zealand in 2012 & 2013.. I feared the worst when my cousin informed me that dad was now resident in a care home.
However to see him at ease, and enjoying the occasional singalong with the staff, reassured me that he is being well looked after. I wish to thank all of the staff for their care and attention to Dad..
If possible I would like to know the full names of one staff member in particular, and the lady that comforted me as I left my last visit, If it is possible I'd like to be able to thank them in writing personally..
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you and so glad you enjoyed your visit.
I have no apprehensions at all concerning my wifes' care and wellbeing at Beechwood Care Home. I constantly see that she is well cared for and in very good hands.
Thank you so much for you kind review. We will work on further improving the areas you have highlighted.
My sister is a very difficult to deal with staff are very good to her. Her husband has settled very well he has come on very well since he has been at Beechwood. When he came he was in Bed all the time but is now going down into the lounge and is enjoying it he is also feeding himself
Thank you so much for you kind review. We will work on further improving the areas you have highlighted.
He husband has settled very well, he goes down to the lounge very day and enjoys the company of the other residents he is sitting in a chair where he went to Beechwoods he was bed bound so we are pleased with his progress.
Thank you so much for you kind review. We will work on further improving the areas you have highlighted.
My uncle was very poorly when he first arrived at the home but since that time has improved greatly. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the support and care provided, not only for my uncle but to myself.
While my uncle will not return home, I am so relieved that he is safe and being cared for at Beechwood Care Home in Northallerton.
Thank you so much for you kind review. It is a pleasure caring for your uncle.
My mum has Alzheimer's and has been in Beechwood since July 2024. Was very difficult at the beginning but the care and understanding she received was brilliant. They have been so patient with her. I'm glad to say she has settled and seems happy there now. I've got to know the carers and they are all lovely. The best part is that my little dog Betty is welcomed in and some of the other residents love to see her as well and have a cuddle.
Thank you so much for your kind words. All of the people living with us enjoy little Betty coming to visit.
My mother spent 2 weeks of respite care in this home. The staff were helpful and accommodating, making my mother feel welcome the minute she stepped through the door by calling her by her first name. My mother commented on how lovely and friendly the staff were and has turned around and said she would like to return in the future.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We will hopefully see you all soon for your mum's next stay with us.
The staff at Beechwood Nursing Home are brilliant, and makes this care home. They are kind, professional and hard working. They genuinely care about my mum, and she feels at home because of them. They treat her like the wonderful individual she is and encourage her to love the best life she can. The home has a good manager, who has created the right culture that allows the staff to do well.
Thank you so much for your lovely response. It is lovely to have your mum living with us.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your positive review. Hope you are all keeping well.
I think this and my scoring says it all.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback.
Care and consideration towards the residents are good. All are known by their names and concern is shown with regard to their problems. Nursing care is satisfactory and available at all times. Meals are acceptable but could be more varied. Nighttime care is available and has improved lately. Rooms are clean, including the ensure. More care could be taken with dressing the residents and attention to hair.
Thank you for your feedback. I will pass these comments on to the staff and aim to continue to improve in the areas which need attention.
My mum entered Beechwood in December 2021 whilst the home was quarantined due to Covid. It was rather traumatic leaving her and we only had window visits for a few months. Mum always looked well and cared for. The home hit a blip with a failing CQC report but this care home has turned around. There is excellent management and communication. There is now an activities coordinator. Mum passed away on the 15th of March 2024 but her care was exemplary. The home's best asset, the staff, from the domestic to the nurses/carers and management. It is very much like one large family and mum was loved like a valued relative.
Thank you so much for your positive review. It was an absolute pleasure caring for your mother, she will be very missed at Beechwood.
A very caring environment with lovely staff. Everyone has made a big effort to give wonderful attention and after person-centred care. No request is too difficult.
My mother has been at Beechwood for around 5 months now. She was made very welcome by the wonderful staff, and we are happy with the great care and attention she receives. Visiting her is a pleasure as the staff are so welcoming to relatives as well!
I could not have wished for better care for my mother during her "end of life" at Beechwood Nursing Home. The nursing care was excellent, but the personal, friendly interaction was exceptional. I was so blessed that my mother ended her life in such wonderful care.
Thank you so much for your review of our care home. We are sending you our deepest condolences on the passing of your mum; she was a lovely lady who will be missed by all. We are so glad you found the interaction with the team to be exceptional, and we will share your kind words with them. We wish you everything of the best, take care and keep safe.
Sadly my mother-in-law passed away back in October 2021, however, I can not thank the staff at Beechwood enough for all that did.
Thank you for the very kind words regarding your mothers care while residing at Beechwood Care Home. I will pass this feedback to the team.
My mother was gently, respectfully and professionally cared for during her last months in nursing care.
From Management to refreshment staff, I and family are most grateful to everyone, that my mother received the best of care.
Kindest wishes.
Thank you for the very kind words regarding your mothers care while residing at Beechwood Care Home. I will pass this feedback to the team, who I know will be delighted with the review.
