Dad came to Jubilee with palliative end of life care. There was no doubt in our minds that he spent his last days in a safe, caring and empathetic place. His needs were met and the care was second to none. Every single person from management, carers,cleaners went above and beyond to make dad's stay
a welcomed one. We had peace of mind and he was happy.
Thank you for looking after Dad in his final days.xx

Both myself and family very impressed with the home in general. Always a genuine welcome from caring staff. All service users are treated with dignity care and support on all levels. Lovely menu and spotlessly clean in every area of the home. Very impressed particularly by carers reception, and manager
to ensure a complete personal profile put in place showing history, likes and dislikes. As a family we feel that this very vulnerable service user has at last been able to settled in a home, to be cared for with no future concerns. With thanks.

A lovely warm friendly atmosphere from both staff and patients, my father in law settled straight away and they made him feel safe and gave us peace of mind. The care he received was 100% from all involved from cleaners to management. Made us feel welcome and on his passing still cared and with genuine

The staff are lovely. Very friendly and caring. Particular mention goes to 5 ladies but all staff are wonderful. Its great to have the lady on board at the home providing entertainment. The staff excelled themselves with providing a wonderful party on Mother's Day. Only improvement I can think of is
more provision of activities please for residents on a weekend. Thank you.

Couldn't ask for kinder people/staff to care for my wonderful Dad. For the 3 months my Dad was in Jubilee House, Whithy he was loved, and dealt with care and kindness by all the staff. Every effort was made to make what little time he had in comfort and surrounded by caring people who work very hard
in a busy environment that has a lovely feel to it. Every effort has been made to make it inviting for all, it is a fantastic place made more lovely by the great standard of care and kindness by such wonderful carers. I appreciate you all, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The care at Jubilee House is outstanding. My Mam came into the home after being very poorly and having had a two-month stay in the Hospital, she has picked up so much and become her happy, smiling self again thanks to the lovely staff who are always happy, polite and so wonderful and genuinely caring.
She has a lovely room, meets new friends, enjoys the activity games and also the occasional visits of pets, bus rides out, and is very close by to see the sea - what a wonderful atmosphere for all of the residents.
I cannot thank the staff at Jubilee House enough.

When I arrive to visit my mum she always has a smile for everyone. All the staff are very caring towards her needs and are always at hand to help and talk to her, nothing is too much trouble. She enjoys the activities, entertainment and visits to other venues which is nice to see. It is lovely to be
made so welcome by everyone, the staff always have time to interact with residents and visitors too and are always available which makes this a happy caring home.

My mum was discharged from hospital into the care of Jubilee House and I am so pleased that she was. From the moment she arrived, I knew this was absolutely the right move for my mum. The whole team at Jubilee are fab and they are brilliant with all of the residents (and relatives too!) Nothing is too
much trouble. Jubilee House has a wonderful feeling about it. The way they care for people is evident. I’m lucky enough to be able to spend time with my mum most days and it’s like visiting a big family! If I’m not able to visit for any reason, I know she is safe and well looked after and that’s a huge relief. I honestly can’t thank them enough and I’m so grateful to each and every one of them.

My husband took a while to settle, but with the patience of carers has now settled much better. I do not need to worry about his care anymore. He is clean and says he enjoys being there. The only shortfall is not having a lot of outside space to sit out in the good weather. Every effort is made to keep
him occupied and happy and he is much fitter since he went into Jubilee House. I, and my family are pleased with the way things are.

The first thing that hits you when you walk into Jubilee House Care Home is the warm, inviting and happy atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and the level of care that staff show their residents is heartwarming. My father tells me that the staff are kind and attend to all his needs, no matter how
trivial, with a smile. He enjoys the food (thanks chef) and, with gentle encouragement and support, he has been able to take a short walk outside. The manager and her team are receptive to learning about their residents and skilfully use this knowledge to help them settle. The nursing team are attentive and thorough and healthcare assistants are cheerful and supportive. Housekeeping staff keep rooms and public areas clean and welcoming. Communication with relatives is very good which is so important. Thank you to the management and team.

My father was admitted from hospital into Jubilee House as he could no longer be cared for at home due to the deterioration of his Alzheimers Disease whilst in hospital. I never thought Dad would settle in a care home as he has always been fiercely independent, but with the exemplary care from the manager
and her amazing team Dad has settled so well and more than we could have hoped for! He had been in hospital since Nov 17th 2022 and had lost so much weight as he just wasn't eating and this became a great concern however since being in the home he has put on a stone already, he's more engaged with us as well as the other staff and residents, he's enjoying his food again but most importantly he's safe and extremely well cared for. The home is always spotlessly clean, the staff can't do enough for you. We have lost so much of Dad due to his Alzheimers but thanks to all the staff Dad is more like himself now with smiles for us and his sense of humour back. The manager we can't thank you and your team enough!

Carolyn Mcloughlin

Job Title: Care Assistant Joined: 2011

After more than a decade at Jubilee House, there isn’t much Care Assistant Carolyn Mcloughlin doesn’t know about providing excellent care for our residents.
She first joined the home as a cleaner but was immediately taken by the work the carers did and jumped at the opportunity to join their ranks.
“I loved seeing the way they cared for the residents and the difference it made to their daily lives,” she says. “I decided then and there that that was something I really wanted to be a part of and have loved it ever since.”
“We provide a home from home. Of course we can never truly take the place of their families but we can get as close to that as we can and look after them, make sure they are happy, safe and content. It provides a great deal of satisfaction to be able to sit down, one to one, and put a smile on someone’s face with a chat, a laugh and a bit of banter. That is what care for me is all about.
“When I am away from the home I miss the residents and look forward to seeing them all again.”
