Overall Experience
My mum moved to Threshfield Court four weeks ago and has settled in really well. From the moment she arrived, all members of the staff team have been friendly, kind and caring. They always take the time to chat with our family when we visit, which makes us feel welcomed and reassured.
I feel that the staff genuinely understand my mum and her individual needs, and they respond to her in a positive, supportive and compassionate way. We have been particularly impressed by the wide range of opportunities for social interaction and stimulation available to residents.
We also appreciate that Mum is included in activities with residents from other floors, helping her to build connections across the home. The beautiful gardens provide a lovely outdoor space for residents to enjoy as well.

We are extremely happy with the care Mum is receiving and take great comfort in knowing that qualified nursing staff are always on hand to support her needs.

Our mother in law "Mum" has been a resident of Threshfield Court Care Home for a couple of months now. We have been very happy with the care provided & "Mum" has settled in well. The personal attention from staff is excellent & the activities schedule is stimulating & has enabled "Mum" to stay mentally alert & active in ways we could not achieve at home. She loves the food. Her bedroom is beautiful. The gardens are a delight & being able to get out into the garden is a joy. The openness to bring dogs into the home is high on Mum's list of priorities. The atmosphere is jolly & up-beat.

Thank you.

Overall Experience

My husband was a resident from September 25 to March 26. Most of the care he received was excellent, but his mobility was not addressed. He could walk a few steps unaided when he arrived, but can no longer do so. He particularly liked the minibus outings. He was encouraged to participate in the activities and entertainment, although the weekly activity timetable was sometimes more of a wish list than anything else. Laundry could, and did, go astray. I found a pair of knickers and a bra in one of my husband's drawers that were clearly marked with the owner's name and room number. The staff were all very friendly and caring.

We as a family are very pleased with the care and attention Donald needs. He has settled in well. He does need encouragement to join in things, and the staff do this, which is good. We have no concerns whatsoever about his welfare or care.

Dad is becoming increasingly frail and following a fall my brother and I felt he would benefit from a period of respite care. On admission his mood was very low and his appetite poor. Although Dad's stay was only brief, by the time he returned home to Mum a week later there was a marked improvement in his wellbeing, thanks to the wonderful care he received. It has been lovely to see Dad taking part in social activities, smart and well groomed, regaining his appetite, some spirit and his smile. The Threshfield Court Care Home environment is welcoming, caring and it feels very safe/ Every staff member we encountered was cheerful, kind, positive and happy (always) to answer family questions. If Dad needs more respite or full time care we will have no hesitation in approaching TCCH.

Overall Experience
In 2019, my mother was resident at Threshfield Court. Towards the end of her life she developed dementia. Throughout her stay the genuine love and support given by all staff members gave her - & us, her family - huge confidence that her end would be one of care, peace & respect. Now my father has also spent the end of his long life at Threshfield. We think the excellent level of care & support - both to him & the family - continues to be maintained. The warmth & sincerity of a caring staff was always present. It came as no surprise to find three staff members short-listed for Barchester Awards.

We would have no reservations in recommending Threshfield Court to any family considering the needs of their loved one; indeed, we have already done so. "Thank you, everyone" is so inadequate, but comes from the heart.

Our family were very apprehensive on Mum's admission, we had lots of questions. We were supported and reassured by all the staff that she would be well looked after and all her needs would be met. We expected Mum to be upset and confused. The staff have gone over and above to make her feel welcome and included. Mum has settled in so well and is very happy, content and relaxed. The home is lovely, fab rooms, garden and communal areas. This has taken a great weight off us all.

My mother who had Alzeimers recently died. She had been a resident for over three years. I could not have wished for better care and support for her. not to mention the end of life support which was unbelievable. I could not praise the staff and management enough. It is very challenging supporting people with alzeimers but they provided the care she needed. Despite her condition I believe she was happy at the home. This provided great comfort to her family.

A truly first class facility with the caring and professional staff team to ensure a throughly safe, secure and successful stay!
Mum was resident for more than a year before passing away peacefully. I can not priase the staff highly eough. Care was brilliant, medial support first class and the food, support and personal care was exemplary! Even at times when the home was very busy staff made time for individual support and care and always made time for a cuppa and a chat.
The individual attention was also much appreciated - the 'would you like a cuppa', popping in for a quick chat, 'how are you today' made all the difference and gave family the confidence and trust to know mum was in good hands.

Staff are a genuine team! with clear support and care / concern for one another. This then feeds-thru to residents in that there is uniformity of care, standards are upheld and quality is foremost. Honest!

We sadly lost our mother in January and are really missing our regular visits. Mum was a resident at Threshfield for 3 years but, prior to this, had respite care on a number of occasions for up to 3 weeks duration. We have been impressed with all the staff, who always made us feel welcome, but in particular for the standard of care they gave mum. She was able to live her final years in lovely surroundings and with excellent nursing care.
We loved seeing all the photos on the social media page, particularly when the animals visited. It kept us in the loop and gave us peace of mind that mum was involved in the many activities.
We are also extremely grateful for the support the staff gave us in the last few days of mum's life. They carried out regular checks on mum but did so unobtrusively, giving us space to spend time alone with her. The staff also offered us food and drink and couldn't have been kinder when the end approached.

We are so lucky to have found this wonderful care home.
