The home is clean and nicely decorated, with a relaxed atmosphere, and the staff do an amazing job in caring for the residents. I have had several meals at Threshfield Court and have found the food to be nicely prepared and tasty. All in all, I have been able to rest easy that my father is getting the best care possible. My only possible concern relates to the lack of engagement my father has with any organised activities, and whether the staff could do more to address this. However, I do accept this is difficult if my father refuses to get involved.
My step-father entered the home from hospital. He suffers from dementia and exhibits aggressive and disruptive behaviour. The staff have been very patient but firm with him, ensuring that he is kept clean, shaved and well dressed. Days are spent in the lounge where staff can keep an eye on him. One of my step-father's few remaining pleasures is eating, and he says that the food is very good and plentiful. I visit every alternate day and have yet to see anything that causes me concern.
My husband initially went for two weeks respite care, but due to circumstances stayed at Threshfield Court for two and a half months.
Everywhere was clean and bright and his room was nicely decorated. The staff were very caring, helpful and cheerful and my husband enjoyed chatting to them and sharing a joke. They helped him at mealtimes ensuring that he was able to eat easily. The food was particularly good and the chef was happy to provide dishes suited to my husband's taste. The nursing team was quick to deal with any problems related to my husband's wellbeing and kept me informed about his condition.
I noted that residents in the home were treated kindly and with respect by the staff and that there was a good range of activities on offer for those who were able to participate.
My husband enjoyed his stay and would be happy to return there and I would have no qualms about recommending Threshfield Court to others.
-Especially clean and hygienic.
-Defective gear repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

Meet the Team (4)

Hello, my name is Ana!
I have been working at Threshfield for over 20 years. I am very passionate about providing our residents with the best care, as that is what they deserve. I enjoy doing my hands-on nursing and continuing to be a nurse on all of the units, as I have a high level of clinical training from my nursing background. I love working here at Threshfield as we are all one big family.

Hi there!
My name is Maxwell! I have been working here at Threshfield Court for 3 years and 10 months! I am originally from Nigeria, where I studied Nursing and qualified in 2016. I then went on to work in hospitals and ICU Units and decided I wanted a change, so I moved over to England. I love my Threshfield family, working with lots of different people and caring for residents! I have just been promoted to Acting Deputy Manager, and I cannot wait to see what it has in store for me!

Hi, my name is Terry, and I am the Home Administrator here at Threshfield Court. I started my career in the hospitality industry, followed by two decades in the retail sector. I started working at Threshfield Court in 2014 as the Receptionist and Assistant Administrator prior to moving into the Admin role.
I love being part of a vibrant and caring team. Every day is totally different, and the essential qualities of excellent management, beautiful surroundings and being able to make a difference to residents' lives make for a fulfilling daily work experience. I work closely with the home's General Manager, and I look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Hi!
My name is Millie, and I am the Activities Lead here at Threshfield Court. I enjoy planning all of the events and activities with the team and the residents! I have been working here at Threshfield Court since 2017, where I have had many different roles! I started as a carer, where I would help out with activities taking place day to day and decided to apply for the activities assistant. Alongside my admin role, I have now taken on the Activities Lead role in 2026! I love my role as no two days are ever the same. I love being able to spend quality time with the residents and help enrich their lives with person-centred activities, from gardening to knitting or even woodwork; here at Threshfield we can do it all! The activities team like to make sure there is something available for everyone!
