I am very happy that my wife is in this nursing home. The care provided is excellent. The staff are very pleasant while seeing to my wife's every need. The building is very welcoming, neat and tidy.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear your wife is happy and receiving excellent care. Our team takes pride in supporting residents and your kind words mean so much to us, and our Colleagues.
The management and staff are excellent they listen to and act on requests of both family/visitors and residents and try to accommodate in every respect. Their dedication is unswerving.
Although the care staff a good and consistant there are not enough of them especially at weekends!! There is no chain of command if manager is off which has been an issue at times when you ask staff who is in charge they appear not to know! There is not enough entertainment. Coble House is very clean but very run down in places. Overall staff are professional and willing and generally lovely - but there should be more.
My biggest and most daunting task of my life came when I had to choose a care home for my mam. Choice made in 2021, and Cable House was the one. I cannot say enough good things about Coble House. From the moment we stepped in, the warmth and care were evident. The staff, every single one of them, were truly exceptional, kind, attentive and always going the extra mile. I was always kept up to date with any medical issues my mam had. I always felt at ease knowing my mam was in such a caring environment until her passing in January. I highly recommend Coble House.
Thank you for taking your time to leave such a lovely review for our Coble House team. We were very to sorry to hear of your loss, it was an honour to look after your mum's care until her passing.
The death of my partner was unexpected but Coble House manager & staff were outstanding in the way they dealt with this. They also provided me with support. My partner was always cared for well in the long residency.
We are very sorry about your loss and thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your kind words will be shared with all our Coble House team.
I find the home to be always warm and welcoming on arrival with good atmosphere. The day time staff are always friendly and curtious, always ready to help with any queries that we may have. My husband is kept clean and tidy and time is taken to engage with him whilst being fed his meals. The main nurse is excellent, always has time to discuss any problems or queries, as is the manager. Both them and indeed all the home staff are very good. Food always appears to be a very good standard.
Thank you for your kind words, your positive feedback will be shared with all the team.
Have visited a friend on several occasions while on respite at Coble House - different dates & times. Staff have always been helpful and kind, no exceptions. One time, my friend was trying to explain a situation, and nurse listened intently - didn't interrupt even though took a long time!! Every time he asked for help/coffee etc - it was there within a short time. I was impressed.
Thank you for your wonderful review of Coble House, your kind words and positive feedback will be shared with all our team.
The care and attention he has received over this time has been brilliant, not just from the nurses and carers but from the maintenance lads and the domestic staff.
My husband likes all the staff and is very content with his life and shows no signs of stress.
I've been kept fully informed of any health issues my husband has had over the past two years and know I'll be kept fully informed should there be any further health issues.
We, as a family, have no concerns about the care he receives at Coble House.
Thank you for your lovely review and wonderful feedback about the team - this will be shared with all our Coble House Colleagues.
The staff at Coble House are all very professional and caring. The administrator made me feel welcome from my first visit and the place seemed bright and airy. I immediately felt it was the right place for my 97-year-old Mother following an extended hospital stay. The carers and nurses couldn't have been kinder or more friendly, both towards her and the family & the maintenance man went above and beyond to help. Although she was mostly confined to bed, she soon settled in and her mental & physical health improved. We could visit at any time and the staff were always available to talk, keeping us informed of any changes, but importantly they were also willing to listen to any of our suggestions for things that may help. My Mother decided that she didn't want to go back into hospital for end-of-life care and we are so glad that she was able to spend her last few months at Coble House, being cared for by such lovely staff who had got to know her and whom she trusted. We definitely chose the right place for her and have no hesitation in recommending it.
Thank you for your amazing review, your wonderful feedback will be shared with all our team.
As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, we were encouraged to make her room homely, put up family photos etc,
It may sound daft to some - but the smell of a home is really important to me, not having that detergent smell of hospitals etc, and Coble delivered on this, with the only smells it really had was of the lovely food.
As Mum started to decline, the staff at Coble were great, giving her amazing care, but also being very kind to the family - we were never stopped from visiting at any time and always felt welcome. A cup of tea, a few biscuits sounds so insignificant, meant so much, especially when it would often just arrive, (just how I liked it) without even asking.
The staff were very caring and respectful, our only regret is that we hadn't been able to place Mum with them earlier.
Thank you for your lovely review and feedback; your kind words at this difficult time mean the world to our team and will be passed to them all.
A huge thank you to all at Coble House, they all made a very stressful time in our family's lives so much more bearable. The care and support given to my Dad was above and beyond what we could ever have hoped for. Dad was always treated with the utmost dignity and was regularly checked up on, even if it was just for a friendly chat, which he loved. The rooms were always kept clean and tidy and the maintenance man was always happy and available to help make the room more like home for the residents. I could not recommend the home more, it has an amazing manager and amazing stuff.
Thank you for your lovely words and positive feedback about Coble House, this will be passed on to the team.
The staff at Coble House were absolutely wonderful. We cannot thank them enough for the loving care that they gave to our mam.
They came to know her so well and absolutely nothing was a bother to them. They knew how she liked her tea and her water! We spent a lot of time with mam in Coble House and the staff was so kind to us too.
The atmosphere in the home is calm and gentle. The ethos of the home comes from the “Top” down. The manager was lovely. The staff who work there are very special people.
Our mam passed away very peacefully on February 11th, 2024. We were lucky to be with her.
We are so grateful that Coble House was her final home. She was so well looked after. She said she was very happy there. She said to herself how wonderful the staff were.
Thank you to all of the staff at Coble House. We will never forget you.
We recommend Coble House to anyone wholeheartedly.
Fantastic home, the staff, and management are so nice. Nothing is a problem, so kind and helpful. The home was spotless and clean - rooms were lovely and comfortable and cleaned daily. Proper home-cooked food with proper portions and choices. Lots of activities daily. Residents smile. Thank you so much all at Coble House, 5-star care.
Thank you for your amazing 5-star review, your wonderful feedback will be passed on to the team.
My husband's health improved so much while in their care.
Thank you for your kind words and lovely review, your feedback will be passed to the team.
My beautiful Mam was admitted to Coble House for end-of-life care. Her care was outstanding. Every member of staff treated her with warmth and dignity. The staff went out of their way to make her comfortable and she felt safe. They were very considerate to all the family allowing us to visit as often as we wished and they allowed us precious time alone with her near the end of her life. Her every need was met and the staff were always friendly and looked after Mam with respect. Our family can't thank them enough for the terrific job they did, they are all wonderful. I was a qualified nurse for 37 years and would highly recommend Coble House.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review, your wonderful feedback about our team will be passed to them all.
My dad moved into Coble House after a stressful period of being in and out of hospital and step-down care. We immediately knew that we’d found the right place for him, where he would be comfortable, well looked-after, and treated with dignity, respect and empathy; and so it proved. Dad received excellent care from friendly, professional and genuinely caring staff. Coble House is such a welcoming place for both residents and family members, which helped us so much during a difficult time. Sadly, Dad’s condition deteriorated further, so his stay did not last as long as we expected, but we are so pleased that he spent his last weeks in the comfortable, caring environment of Coble House.
Thank you for this lovely review, your kind words and praise at this sad time will be passed to all our team.
My mother was transferred to Coble House for end-of-life care. She was welcomed warmly and settled in very quickly. The care given to her was efficient but with great consideration of her needs. All requests were met with a smile. Concern was shown at all times for her and ourselves. We could stay with her until the end in a dignified quiet environment. We can't praise all the staff enough.
Since my dad went into Coble House he has declined rapidly and is now spending his final days just being fed and lying in a room on his own.
The rooms still remain undecorated and are extremely small and unwelcoming. We unfortunately had to report that his bed was soiled and unwashed for 3 days which the home did apologise for and the problem was rectified.
Regarding keeping relatives informed, my 92 year old mother has been put through a very upsetting time and has been hospitalised on several occasions because they have not told her how dad is health wise. He has had 3 chest infections since being in Coble House and we were not told about any of them.
I would not recommend Coble House and just wish we could take Dad home to his 92-year-old heartbroken wife.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy that the home has responded and dealt with your concerns and empathise what a difficult time this is for you and your family. If you have any other worries or concerns our Home Manager is always available to alleviate these for you.
Coble House is a very welcoming care home. Thank you. The staff are so friendly and look after the residents and their families so well. They are caring and compassionate, nothing is too much trouble. They update me all the time about how Mum is settling in. Very supportive. There is always something to keep the residents occupied. The gardens are lovely and well-maintained. The care home does not smell and is very clean. I couldn't wish for a better care home for my mum.
Thank you for your wonderful review, your kind words and positive feedback will be passed to the team.
My husband arrived at Coble House 5 weeks ago in a very poor state following a stay at another care home. The moment we arrived we felt love, the staff are absolutely amazing, they genuinely care and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are professional, with warmth and friendliness. They make you feel that you are part of a big family. I truly wish I had moved my husband there much sooner, as he unfortunately passed away. I just want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart for making a very awful time much easier for me and my family. Coble House, you are all truly amazing.
We are very sorry for your loss and thank you for your lovely words and positive feedback in this difficult time.
