I was a resident in Roseway House in Jarrow for 3 years. The management and staff were professional and efficient at all times and I cannot fault them whatsoever. The staff were brilliant and always friendly, pleasant and respectful to me, at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending Roseway

Take note kindly to what i have experienced in what was the other care home my mother has just moved from to Roseway House , i couldn't believe the difference and i asked other family members their opinion before i visited my mother . Staff were alert and happy and the whole place had a different feeling
.Most important of all was how Roseway House was to my mothers well being and the result was very happy . I don't place a review on anything on the internet but i was gob smacked and told the Manageress others have to know the different levels of care and attention that your staff are giving and she needed to know that what i personally experience in another care home is miles away and at another level to Roseway House , That's it , made the review and very pleased to do so and best wishes to all the staff that work very hard all year.

My wife went into Roseway House in May 2024. She has been looked after with very high standards. The staff have taken care of her very well. I have found that she management and staff are always there, not only for my wife but for myself and my family.
They are all approachable if I have any questions
and are always on hand.
The thing that I am grateful for is when I leave my wife I know that she is safe.

My sister-in-law has been in Roseway for 5 1/2 months and I must say the standard of care has been exceptional. From the management and all the staff, we could not be more at ease.
Everyone is so caring, and helpful and are always there to give the residents the care that is required. Nothing is too
much for them and they are always on hand to speak with the families which obviously puts your mind at rest.
They are all amazing and we are so grateful to them.

My mother was taken to Roseway House directly from hospital, she only spent two weeks before passing away. The staff, each and every one of them, were amazing. My mother was declared palliative/end of life on arrival and after weeks of being distressed and in pain on arrival she was made comfortable
as soon as possible! The staff not only cared for our mother but her family also, can't thank them enough.

My mam was only a resident at Roseway for a very short period of time prior to her death. She was well cared for in that period of time, and treated with respect and dignity. All of her needs were met by the amazing staff who not only took excellent care of my mam but looked after me and my sisters
also. I can't thank you all enough. you are an amazing team and should be very proud of the work you do. Thank you all.

The staff are friendly and very good with residents. They all have big hearts for their residents. Four staff on during the day, 3 at night. You have great staff. If you nad on two more staff they could interact more with the residents. The staff who do the hobbies, organise singers and outings and
do an excellent job at the home.

My mother has been a resident here since December 2023 and from day one, her care and treatment have been first-class. She is treated with kindness and dignity. The manager and her staff are amazing and they are very friendly, approachable and always happy to help. When my family and I visit the home,
we are made to feel very welcome. The nursing care my mother receives is excellent and we have been very lucky to have her stay at Roseway House. Highly recommend!

My dad became a resident in June 2023. I was a little apprehensive as I did not know what to expect.
However, after meeting the manager and her wonderful staff, Dad made the move.
I can honestly say that everything that Dad needs is taken care of without any questions asked.
The residents and all

My husband has been in Roseway House Care Home for eighteen months now. In general, he is well looked after, I know he can be very difficult at times but at times his clothes need to be changed, his meals, at times, are left in his room, I feel he should be checked more often. The staff are very caring,
I know they have a very difficult job. There doesn't seem to be much activity upstairs to stimulate residents.

Mam moved into Roseway House in September 2022 for palliative care. She was in a lovely quiet room next to the nurse's office. She loved all of the staff and had her favourites. All the staff (nurses, carers, cleaners) genuinely cared for her. I felt cared for by the team too, when I found it all too
much. When I arrived at her bedside the day she died, there were two carers sitting with her, holding her hands and making sure she knew she was not alone. While no one wants to end their days in a home, Roseway has to be one of the best. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.564)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.564) out of 10 for Roseway House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.714 for Roseway House is calculated as follows: ( (120 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 161 Ratings = 4.714
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roseway House is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
