We feel, as a family, that our Mother is very well looked after. She has daily health checks and her medication is given regularly. She enjoys the food and is happy in their care. Staff will call us with any concerns and always have time to talk to us on our visits. The staff are all caring and friendly
and I'm sure they do their very best to care for the residents.

After a tour of the care homes that were recommended by South Tyneside Council, we were at our wit's end. Both my grandparent's were in the early stages of dementia and to drag them out of their own home of 40 years was horrifying us. Our last visit was the White House. It seemed like our prayers had
been answered. A care home is made by the people who run it. They are genuine, wonderful people.

My very good friend of 50 years has been resident at The White House for 5 months and his late wife for nearly 3 years before him. The staff are all very helpful, compassionate and cheerful and can always find time to discuss the situations as and when they arise. There have been various improvements
to the fabric and furnishings but there is always scope for more on a rolling programme.

We bought my mam here with trepidation as she was in a serious state. She has been brought back to life with the care and nursing care. The staff are what make this home very special.

My mum needed full-time care and we had her in other homes. Nothing compares to this. She is so happy and her nursing care is second to none, the staff are amazing, they treat her like a mam and she loves it. Her health and well being is well cared for. 10/10.

I was visiting my brother on 22nd July 2017 at 2.05pm. He asked to go to the toilet. When I asked the carer she said he would have to wait until the other carer came back but when she came back the carer went for dinner.
I had to take him myself which is unacceptable. You should have two carers at
all times and there's no management after 2pm or on weekends.
I think you should look into this and employ more carers.

We had to place my mother in a care home due to falls at home due to water infections, then the rapid onset of dementia. As a family, we had a good look round homes in the area but once we went to the White House we knew this was the place for her. You could tell the staff loved what they were doing,
it wasn't just a job for them. Unfortunately my mother passed away after only 3-4 months in the home but while she was there she was happy and the family felt she was safe, she had made friends with other women and would sit with them while staff played music for them she was very happy there and as already stated the staff were brilliant with her.

My mother has been in the exceptional care of the White House in Jarrow since approx February of this year. From the time of our first visit we were very confident in the management, nurses and carers. They filled us with confidence in how through they are with mums needs and how they interact and care
for mum. We fell we hit the jackpot when mum came here. Her care is second to none. Mum is so well looked after and this is from every member of staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they always have mum and her family's best interests at heart. We feel blessed that she is here.

My mam has been moved into The White House nursing home for end of life care after a long stay in hospital, she is now bed bound and has advanced dementia, making communication difficult. The staff have been extremely helpful, friendly and caring to her and to myself as well as being very attentive,

I have a wide range of experience within the healthcare sector nursing setting and residential setting which has expanded my knowledge and skills greatly.


I pride my self on having a experienced and knowledgeable team who can provide the high standards of care that our residents we support require and deserve.


I believe my strengths are that I am an open, honest, firm but fair manager who has our resident best interest at heart at all times. I have a very good rapport with all residents and families who we support and support my staff day to day in all areas.

Within my job role at the White House Care Home, I work alongside my manager and deputy manager to ensure the quality compliance of the service and that our residents' needs are being Met. I am Very Passionate about the Progression of my knowledge. I always have the residents' Best Interests at Heart and am always there to support Anyone when needed.


I believe that my Strengths are that I am caring, compassionate and proactive in my job role to ensure that our residents receive quality and person-centred care meeting all of their individualised needs.
