Oaklands Manor Nursing Home has been under new ownership since February 2025.

Oaklands Manor Nursing Home is located in a quiet, secluded and tranquil setting in the village of Saltburn by the Sea. The location of the home is close to the centre of Saltburn and all the amenities including shops and main travel links.
Oaklands Manor Nursing home is made up of three individual units which provide nursing and residential care for the elderly who are suffering with Dementia.

All three Units at Oaklands Manor Nursing Home offer a secure and friendly environment, and benefit from spacious corridors and communal areas for those residents that are active.

The Autumn Nursing Unit is situated within the original purpose built facility with accommodation on ground and first floors. The original facility has been refurbished to a high standard and offers exclusive single room accommodation for both males and females. Each room is tastefully decorated with co-coordinating soft furnishings, a nurse call point and TV point.

The ground and first floor both offer accommodation comprising of sizeable single rooms, shower rooms with mobility aids, bathrooms and separate toilets. Separate dining rooms and spacious lounges are each equipped with a variety of entertainment systems and an outdoor seating area. A passenger lift is also located on the ground floor and services all levels.

My wife has had fabulous care at Four Seasons Summer unit at Saltburn. All the staff and management are very pleasant, caring, and attentive - both to my wife and myself. My wife is enjoying her respite care at this lovely establishment after being transferred from James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough
- where she was suffering from Delirium. She is now recovering, and I and my wife can't thank all concerned enough. Well done to all at Four Seasons. Would not hesitate to recommend this Care Home.

My wife is a resident in the Four Seasons Care Home - Nursing Wing. She has been a resident for over four years. During that time, she has always received the best care. She is bed-bound and doubly incontinent. All her needs are dealt with by members of staff. During the lockdowns, there has been no
decrease in care. We, the relatives, have been kept informed and our concerns dealt with in a caring and sympathetic manner. The present manager has done a wonderful job as she, on top of all her other tasks sent out quite reassuring letters. The admin staff have also performed extremely well. A difficult time for all concerned. If any slight problems have appeared a quick word with the manager always gets fast results.

Since my mother arrived she has been well cared for. At home she was refusing to eat and drink, the staff here worked with her, she is now eating regular full meals. She hadn't walked for 8 weeks, Four Seasons helped with her mobility. She now seems to be settled and they are taking her out into the
village for coffee and fresh air. To sum up, very pleased with making the right choice of care home.

My husband is in Four Seasons at Saltburn and has been there for three years. Staff are very caring, the food is very good.
He is always clean and tidy whenever I go. The new manager is doing a brilliant job.

My wife is a resident in the nursing section of the care home. She cannot speak, walk or feed herself. She has received very good care from the staff, especially as she is also doubly incontinent. They are doing all the things which I can no longer do, as much as I would like to.

Since the new manager came in, my father-in-law gets looked after very well. No matter when we go he is clean and tidy. The meals are very good. It is just getting decorated. The staff are all lovely and will do anything to help us.

My biggest problem with this home is laundry. We never get clothes back, spend all our money replacing clothes, when asked to see an assistant nobody comes. Clothes are never ironed if they come back and all the whites have to be put in the bin. The room is full of cobwebs, the bed and radiator are
rotten, I feel my sister is forgotten in her room.

During this last year, the entertainment for residents has been poor.

My nana was moved into the nursing unit at this care home as an emergency. With her having dementia we didn't think it was going to be easy settling her in but we were wrong. The staff on the unit are fantastic and I can see that my nana hasn't been upset by this move.
She is sleeping at night which
is something she wasn't doing at home and the food they get looks lovely.

My husband has been well looked after. The staff really care for all their patients and treat them as individuals. My husband had shingles and was soon feeling unwell but there was a swelling over his eye so got a doctor out right away to see him, but after 48 hrs the care staff not happy.
I was there
when the doctor came and diagnosed shingles. Because of their dedication not one scar. My husband is happy and really settled in Four Seasons. All staff are excellent to him and myself.

Mum's care home closed down after 5 years of her care, she then had 8 days in temporary accommodation before moving into Four Season Saltburn in July 2017.


She settled well and is now content, cared for and stimulated. Having dementia, I didn't expect mum would ever be as she is now. Clean, well

fed and obviously very happy. I visit weekly and it's now a pleasure to see her. What a difference.

My mum went for respite for five days. She is 93 and registered blind. It was her first time to go into any kind of care at all, she was naturally apprehensive and so were we but there was no need. The care she received was wonderful and she tells everyone she would have no hesitation in recommending

I am happy with the home. I only live round the corner which is good for me so I can visit every day. My only dislike is there aren't enough activities going on for the residents.

I have been so pleased with the way he has been treated with dignity and respect together with humour. The staff are to be commended for their unfailing care for all the residents. They are kind, considerate and unfailing in their

Staff co-operative, helpful and discerning with residents. Occupation and entertainment matched to residents abilities. Food of good standard and facilities of reasonable standard.


Suggestion: middle unit has meal transported from nursing unit, with only kitchen cupboards and sink in dining room

area. It would be beneficial for a dishwashing machine to be installed as this would ease staff work load and importantly add to 'hygiene' of crockery and kitchen utensils.

I was extremely surprised when I walked into the care home, how clean and how friendly everyone was, was disappointed that someone's clothes were still in wardrobes, but they were soon removed. The manager was absolutely amazing and reassured me and went out of his way to contact me and my daughter
over the weekend of how my husband has been everyday. I went into the lounge and everyone seemed happy and well kept and singing along to music was lovely to see. I would definitely use and recommend this care home to others.
