I have to say that the staff at the care home made my Mother's final weeks comfortable and happy. She was extremely well cared for here and made some really good friends. Nothing was ever too much bother for anyone and the activities lady was a massive support for my Aunty coming to terms with the
illness of my mum. I would recommend the home to anyone and will always be grateful for the friendships made.

Father's care is exceptional to say the least. Excellent care given to our father. Very clean place, nursing care is outstanding. All of Dad's needs are promptly taken care of. Dining area and sitting room area, clean and spacious. All the care staff go beyond the care and attention required for our
father's needs. Daily/weekly menu's always a good choice and very appetising. Certainly meets the care needs of our father.

Lovely care home with brilliant staff. My mother is very happy here and well cared for. She was admitted last year after a spell in hospital and two years in another care home as she required nursing care. Although she didn’t like the upheaval of moving to another home, it was a testament to the
care home that she felt at ease.
Reply from Lyndsay Gergin, Manager at Shoreline Nursing HomeThank You for your lovely comments and taking the time to write to express your views. I am very glad your mum is happy here, and that you are both happy with the care provided.

Mum spent her last 6 months in Shoreline and was as happy as she could have been in the circumstances. She was exceptionally well looked after by both staff and management for her stay.
I can't thank them enough for caring for my lovely mum.

Living a distance from my relative makes it hard for me to keep up with his ongoing health and welfare.

Every time I call, staff are on hand and happy to share relevant information with me. I called today and spoke to the new manager who was already well aware of him and his needs and more importantly

how is he doing.

As a family, it is very reassuring to know that he is being looked after by a staff team who believe in what they are doing and that my uncle's care is important to us as a family. They come up with solutions to any issues and we as a family think we all work well as part of a team to ensure his quality of life is paramount.

Reply from Lyndsey Gergin, Manager / RGN at Shoreline Nursing HomeThank You very much for your positive and kind comments. All of our residents health and well being are paramount to us here at Shoreline and we aim to provide a home from home service.

My mother was a resident at Shoreline from August 2016 until she passed away in March 2017.
The care she received during this period was of an exceptional standard. The staff were attentive and responsive to her needs at all times. During her final days, they were just amazing, treating her with absolute
professionalism and love. They extended this to us as a family and we will be forever grateful. She was happy while she lived there and that made us, as a family, very happy and worry free.

My uncle has gone into this nursing residential home and after being a carer for numerous years in residential and own homes of clients. Was very happy with Shoreline and experience is still very positive.
No aspects are a disappointment. It always smells clean and fresh. They will support and help
at all times and go out of their way to make both residents and family members feel welcome and comfortable.

It was a great relief to find a place for our aunt at Shoreline. The staff were unfailingly kind, helpful and efficient and she received a much better level of care than she had previously. It was a much more positive experience than at her previous home or at hospital and much less stressful to visit
her. I would recommend Shoreline to anyone.

My father was nearing the end of his life and needed 24/7 nursing care. During his 13 day stay, he was cared for, befriended, made to feel valued and respected for being him. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All of his needs were met - and more! My mother and I were greeted and welcomed in
a caring and friendly manner at all times and kept up-to-date with his progress. Dad died peacefully and as pain free as possible. We are eternally grateful.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.465)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.465) out of 10 for Shoreline Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.690 for Shoreline Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (90 Excellents x 5) + (33 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 126 Ratings = 4.69
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Shoreline Nursing Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
