We were advised that mum needed end of life care by the hospital. They asked us to select a care home. We visited Shoreline and were immediately impressed with the staff and the room we chose for mum. Her care while in there was first class. It was a relief to my sister and I that she was having all
her needs met in a thoughtful and caring manner. When mum passed the care could not have been better. They felt like part of our family and we will be forever grateful. We would have no hesitation in recommending the home.
Reply from Emma Tyreman, Registered Manager at Shoreline Nursing HomeThank you so much for sharing these kind and touching words. We are truly honoured that you entrusted us with your mum's care at such an important and emotional time. Knowing that she was comfortable, cared for with dignity and that you and your sister felt supported means everything to us. It was a privilege to be part of your mum's journey, and our thoughts remain with you and your family. Thank you for your trust and your heartfelt recommendation.

My father-in-law was admitted late on a Friday night and from the moment he arrived, the care he received was exemplary. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and very quickly got to know him well. He was only in the care home for about 17 days but in that time, he was made comfortable and
as a relative, I was made to feel welcome at all times.
Reply from Emma Tyreman, Registered Manager at Shoreline Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. It means a great deal to know that your father in law was made comfortable and that you felt welcomed and supported during his time with us. Your feedback will be shared with the team, who will be deeply touched by your appreciation.

Congratulations to Emma at Shoreline Nursing Home for winning the Care Home Managers award for the North East and also to Ann, Nursing Lead who was 'Highly Commended' in her field of work.
We couldn't have picked a better place for Babs and Alec to live. The quality of care is fantastic and the carers
all genuinely do care and love the residents like their own family. Staff have often gone above and beyond to help and have made my inlaws feel supported. Their physical and emotional needs are always addressed promptly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you so much. x

Staff at Evergreen are kind caring and provide a good standard of care.
Communication is good and senior staff are very approachable.
The home is small and friendly.
The residents rooms are kept very clean and tidy.
The residents receive a varied and nutritious diet .
The sitting room is basic
and lacks a cosy/homely feel.
Reply from Sanjai Ahitan, Director at Evergreen Court Residential Care HomeThank you so much for your review. We are currently undergoing a refurbishment and you may have noticed a change in decor. Further improvements are scheduled in the coming months to enhance the home. I note your rating for Activities. We have recently filled the position of an activities co-ordinator after our last activities person moved on, I am sure you will notice a difference moving forward. However, our care staff are always available and willing to encourage our residents with activities. Evergreen is a small home that lends to a more personal environment. Care staff are always on hand and happy to engage at any time of the day. If there are areas where we can improve please do not hesitate to speak with Katie, as it is only with feedback that we can act to make things better for our residents. Many Thanks.

My father in law went into Shoreline Carehome after a lengthy stay in hospital. The management and staff couldn't have been nicer. They treat my father in law with dignity and respect, nothing was a trouble to the staff, it wasn't just my father in law that they were respectful of it was us as a family
also, nothing was a trouble. We couldn't have chosen better care for him, right up until the end. Thank you to all at Shoreline for making a hard journey a little easier to bare, you were all remarkable!

My father was only in Shorelines for a short length of time, waiting until his illness was too severe to manage at home any longer. The staff were very quick to assess him and his needs. They showed such compassion, patience, and understanding while trying to help him adjust to a change in his routine
and way of doing things.
I will be forever grateful for helping and caring in his final weeks.

My mother is currently staying in the home after breaking her tibia in 5 places. She has been well cared for by the lovely staff who are very helpful and make you feel welcome. Mam has enjoyed the meals at the home, and there is always plenty to drink for example water and tea. We would like to thank
all the staff for the care and support they have provided.

From day one we have been very happy with the overall care given to my mother. We appreciate the flexibility regarding the layout and furnishing of her room to give a more personal touch. However, the biggest compliment is reserved for the staff especially those who look after her needs on a day-to-day
basis. 'Superstars' they are.

My dad moved into Shoreline in January 2023. He has been comfortable and well cared for all the time. The staff are friendly and genuinely show fondness and respect towards the residents. I can see that for my dad, this is now ‘home’, and he is happy there. He has a great view of the sea, joins in
the activities and enjoys his meals. We could not wish for a better level of care. Thanks to all the staff.

Mum moved into this home from hospital in September 2022, suffering from frequent falls/dementia, so although my dad and I did not actively choose this home, I could not have chosen better. The staff made every effort to care for Mum, putting lots of measures in place to keep her safe. She was treated
with great respect, and by the time she passed away this September, I felt like she was actually loved by the staff. I was always welcomed when visiting, and in the last few weeks of Mum's life, when I was there almost constantly, nothing was too much trouble for the staff to support me. I really cannot fault the staff and the care they gave to me as well as Mum.
Dad now lives in the home due to his frailty and mobility issues, and the staff have made sure he feels at home. He was very well supported by them when Mum passed away and treated with respect and consideration.
I can honestly recommend this home as a safe and caring place.

My father was cared for in Shoreline from March to July 2023. Prior to him moving in I looked at most other care homes in the local area. I am satisfied that the staff did everything in their power to keep my dad comfortable in the latter stages of his life. Lots of the staff went out of their way to
befriend him and, if I'm honest, he was often more pleased to see them than he was me! The view from his window was poor and so staff helped develop a little garden for him to look out onto. At the time activities were limited, but I am aware that they now have a new activities coordinator. I often felt that Dad was in safe hands and, although no one wants to go into care, I will always be grateful to the knowledgeable and dedicated staff who took Dad under their wing.
Reply from Sanjai Ahitan, Director at Shoreline Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words. It is pleasing to hear that you were happy with the care given to your dad. We understand how difficult it is for loved ones and those in our care to adjust to a change in circumstance, so it is extremely important for all to feel comfortable. As the care home owner, it is rewarding to hear such positive comments about our staff, I will forward your review. We now have a full time activities co-ordinator who is doing a wonderful job.
