Allington House

I was dubious when she first went in, but I have to say she was happy there.

The staff at Allington house have been amazing .My father needed to transfer into a care home.i saw this home and it is amazing and staffed with such lovely people.the evening before my father was meant to move in he became ill and went into hospital .The staff communicated with me every day and were so comforting and gave so much of their time . Sadly it-was not to be but my biggest regret is that I did not push my father into going into this care home sooner .He would have received as much stimulation as he cared for and would have eaten well and been kept hydrated and probably lived far longer .Sadly he was not aware how positive a care home can be

My sister had a 12 month stay here. She had a lovely room home from home everything in there but the kitchen sink .The residents are like one big happy family. Daily activities, BBQ in the garden with a tipple or two. Sadly in March my sister passed it was unexpected a shock to every one. Staff went that extra mile playing her music making sure she had her little mascot. Staff made sure she had plenty of cuddles. Allington House is an outstanding home staff go above and beyond for residents and families too. With endless patience and kindness no matter what challenges they are presented with. Love and appreciation to all .

I cannot commend enough the care of the staff on the dementia unit enough in the care of my sister, at every turn their compassion shines through when even things get fraught and sometimes frustrating for the residents of the home they show calm and a sense of care that astounds me, they truly are a credit to the care home as well as Stockton borough council.

The staff in the home were so down to earth and amazing at looking after our nana who sadly passed away in January in Allington House. They didn’t only take care of her, but our whole family who were there day and night by her side towards the end. They would come in for a chat or even a shoulder to cry on, offered us food and drinks, and even a bed. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for all that you do.

My great uncle receives great care from the staff at Allington House. He is always talking positively about the carers who look after him and the food he is offered. From entering the home to leaving after visiting I am always made to feel welcomed.

Thank you isn't enough for all the staff at Allington House. They deliver the best care in difficult circumstances. They are thoughtful and definitely go the extra mile. You can see they love the residents like their own family. Thank you for relentlessly playing certain songs by certain artists, the cups of tea, a bed for us to rest and all the support during our family's difficult time. With love and thanks to you all.

Very welcoming home, always a friendly atmosphere. I visited a friend/neighbour for a couple of years. Since she passed away in September I still pop in to chat with residents and check in on the staff. I would like a room here in my golden years!

My godmother has been at Allington House for almost 5 years and she is treated like one of their own family. She is happy and content and very well looked after, as I live away. I put my complete trust in the staff and feel very safe doing so. Her room is beautiful and she has everything she needs and more. The personal touches that have been made for her are very heartwarming. Thank you.

Since becoming a resident at Allington House, I have felt that this has become my home. I am very happy here and I am treated in the best possible way by everyone.

When my wonderful, intelligent, fiercely independent Mum started to struggle with dementia last year it was a very difficult time for her and the family. Making the transition from independent living to a care home was never going to be easy, which means that Mum and I have had our ups and downs emotionally but the one thing that has remained constant throughout has been the help, care and support of all the staff at Allington House. They have endless patience and kindness, no matter what challenges they are presented with. Mum has now been in Allington House six months and is the happiest she has been for a long time. She is now completely settled there and feels safe and cared for. She frequently remarks on how lucky she is to be in there. Telling me that the staff are lovely to her and also that the food is very good.

My father-in-law was taken to Allington House for palatal care in December. He is on the dementia floor and the care given is outstanding from the front desk, up to all the carers who all go above and beyond. Always smiling, always watching them singing along with residents or dancing in the corridor. The seniors always keep us updated and are always compassionate! If and when I need to go to a care home it's to a place like this home.

My father was discharged from hospital to Allington House for Palliative care. I could not find a negative thing to say. The areas I didn't comment on is only because I didn't experience them. First-class, caring, compassionate, and made the last 3 weeks of my father's life as comfortable as it could be for him. We felt like we trusted leaving him in their care to the point you would think it was their dad they were caring for not ours. We can't thank them enough. They all deserve a massive pay rise. You all know who you are.

Both grandparents have been residents at Allington house over the years due to needing 24hr care. While they both were living there at separate times, the care they both received from all staff until they passed away, I can not fault. When walking into the home there was always a nice atmosphere that made you feel welcome at all times. I'd like to thank all staff for their support and kindness whilst looking after my grandparents.

Allington House cares for its residents brilliantly and allows them to feel safe, welcome and at home. The staff are so friendly and always ensure the best care is given to the residents. I would recommend Allington House to anyone, as the care and love they provide to their residents, is enough to make anyone feel comfortable having their loved ones there.

As a family, we are forever grateful to this home. The staff go above and beyond not only for the residents but their families too. My granny was here for only a short period of time but it has put my faith back in the care system. Great, friendly, homely atmosphere, always clean and alot of activities to be done. 10 stars all round. This is exactly how a care home should be run. Really cannot express how much we rate this place.
