We moved our dad to Bentley court recently from another care home he has end of life dementia
when he arrived we didn't expect him to still be with us nearly 3 months later but he is and we do believe it's because of the excellent care he has recieved from the staff here
they are so attentive nothing
is to much trouble for them they are so caring & friendly always make you feel welcome
My dad has been in a few care homes & Bentley court is the best by far our only regret is that he wasn't able to receive this level of excellent care sooner

My first impression of Lashbrook House was the friendly staff. Every visit, the staff were very helpful and happy to see you. The care for my father was amazing. The staff were very organised and accommodating when we asked to rearrange the layout in the room. Communications were timely and very clear.
My father particularly enjoyed the wide range of activities organised each week and also the frequent "chats" with the staff. All round excellent. Thank you.

I wanted to show how impressed I am with Moorland Gardens Care Home. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by such a warm and friendly team - it's clear the staff truly enjoy what they do. The care home is always spotless, which brings a comforting sense of calm to everyone who
visits. What really stands out to me is how actively the carers engage with the residents, making sure there's always something interesting happening. Most recently, they organised a fantastic trip to Whipsnade Zoo, which brought so much joy and excitement to everyone involved. It's evident that the carers genuinely care for each resident, going above and beyond to make every day special. I can't recommend Moorland Gardens highly enough for anyone looking for a caring and lively environment for their loved one.

Looked after my poorly stepdad for end of life care, although his time here was very short, the team looked after him with respect and care I would want for myself. Nothing was too much from all staff. Met with smiles and compassion by everyone on every visit day and night staff. The end of life care
each and every member of staff gave my stepdad was exceptional thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts for giving our loved one a dignified respectful ending and listening to all of our concerns
Reply from Hayley Kyte, Home Manager at Herondale/KingfisherThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a touching review and for sharing your family's experience with us. Although your stepdad's time with us was short, it was a privilege to care for him and support your family during such an important and emotional time. Knowing that you felt welcomed with smiles, compassion and kindness from both our day and night teams means a great deal to us. My mother was admitted to Southwell Court earlier this year with dementia. The management and staff have been amazing. Mum is on the minster floor (nursing), and I am delighted with the care she is being given. After looking after mum myself over the years, I was really worried about the situation (mum
going into a home), but very quickly this changed, and now I feel very relaxed and also reassured.

My brother lived in here for almost 2 years with severe dementia. I know he was a difficult person, but care was rubbish, not a caring place at all, no fresh air, no exercise, just sat in his room day after day, then they decided he was too difficult and did not want to. He was admitted to hospital,
and I wasn't informed then. When I emptied his room, he had one shoe, a pair of glasses with one lens in and quite a bit of stuff missing.
Reply from Victoria Brettwood, Senior Home Manager at Richmond CourtThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to read that you were unhappy with your brother's experience and that of your family during what we appreciate was an extremely difficult and emotional time. We strive to provide compassionate, person-centred care to all those who live with us and take any concerns raised by relatives very seriously. Due to our duty of confidentiality, we are unable to discuss the circumstances of an individual's care in a public forum. We are particularly sorry to hear of your concerns regarding communication and personal belongings. We understand how upsetting this can be for families. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your concerns and review any issues you have raised. My friend has been a resident at Hillside for about 6 months. I visit regularly. I've met a number of the staff as I have responsibilities towards the resident.
Everyone I have met has been responsive and friendly. They have also been proactive, phoning me up as necessary.
Their interaction with residents
is warm and caring.
The manager is a very good example of this.
The facilities are very good - many more common spaces than in my friend's previous care home.
I would recommend Hillside. Go and see it and, above all, meet some of the people.

My grandma was a resident with Willow Park care home from January to her passing in April. I can not state how highly I regard Willow park and the whole team. From the very beginning Victoria the care manager, helped me throughout the initial process for getting my Grandma into the home and with the
social worker for her funding. Victoria was always on hand throughout our time at the home, with a warm smile and caring approach to her. You could tell she genuinely cared for all her residents and knew each and every one of them. The smiles on the residents faces as she would speak to them, spoke volumes.
The whole care team from the cleaning crew to kitchen crew, to care team and leaders were amazing. You can see each and every one of them loved their jobs (even when they had tough days) and treated each and every resident with respect and true care. I could name every care staff that were so brilliant with my Grandma, but this review would go on for ages. They're all so wonderful.

The care my mother-in-law received here, for the last 12 months of her life was exemplary, we really could not have asked for any more from staff.
Her needs were complex, but they handled this in consultation with her and with us and communicated well, to ensure we were an essential part of the care
team, when making decisions eg when to move her from residential to nursing care.
Bianca, Tracey and Amanda are a very strong management team who make a massive committment to residents and their families but are also clearly respected by staff. This is a happy home, where residents clearly feel secure and genuinely loved. They go the extra mile to organise outings and events, such as the VE day celebration today, with a real respectful and later a party atmosphere, brass ensemble and lovely buffet. The cook and Handyman Kevin also need a special mention for ALWAYS going the extra mile to do whatever is needed , way outside of their job descriptions. An amazing team, I would recommend.
