I wanted to show how impressed I am with Moorland Gardens Care Home. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by such a warm and friendly team - it's clear the staff truly enjoy what they do. The care home is always spotless, which brings a comforting sense of calm to everyone who visits. What really stands out to me is how actively the carers engage with the residents, making sure there's always something interesting happening. Most recently, they organised a fantastic trip to Whipsnade Zoo, which brought so much joy and excitement to everyone involved. It's evident that the carers genuinely care for each resident, going above and beyond to make every day special. I can't recommend Moorland Gardens highly enough for anyone looking for a caring and lively environment for their loved one.

My mother has just past away at Moorland Garden Home.
Myself and my brother would just like to say a big thankyou to the management and staff there for the amazing care she recieved.
Although Mother could be challanging at times the staff always remained curtious understanding and profesional.
Even visiting mother the staff were always so helpfull and always greated us with a nice cup of coffee and biscuits.
I can't praise them enough.

Moorlands is a wonderful home. My father ended up being a resident by chance after a stay in hospital. What was meant to be respite became his full-time residence till he passed 18 months later. My father had dementia, and due to this, he had some difficult days. But Moorlands worked with my father and the dementia nurses to help him through these times. I was also notified of any changes or issues. When I visited, there was always an activity going on. Tea and biscuits were a very common sight. The food was also of a high standard. The home itself is very clean. My father was also always very well presented; clearly, time and effort was spent on helping residents maintain their hygiene and dignity. The staff were also fantastic. They knew my father inside and out, and he clearly enjoyed their company. I cannot praise Moorlands enough and highly recommend them.

What can I say about Moorlands ? Just perfect. My stepfather went to Moorlands September 2023 transferred from another care home who no longer could meet his needs. I will never be able to praise the management and staff enough , for the exceptional care that he received until he passed last week just before his 91st birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Entertainment was plenty for those that wanted to join which he did until finally he was unable to and became very frail and bedridden. The dedication never waivered but increased as his needs grew. One particular staff member would often sing to him. He had a lovely comfortable room that was always spotless whatever the time of day we visited, he was always washed shaved and in clean clothes also. It gave the family peace of mind that he was being well cared for, well fed and bedding and clothes always spotless. The family of Charles Sinclair cannot praise Moorlands enough and would certainly recommend.

From the outside Moorland Gardens Care Home may not be the most plush care home you have visited but inside the care in this home is simply outstanding.

Debbie, the manager and her wonderful staff have cared for our frail father with dedicated care and compassion. He was admitted with serious bed sores and was underweight, but after 7 weeks - now that he is to be discharged to a permanent nursing home nearer his home town, his weight has increased and his bed sores have nearly healed and never got reinfected due to the expert nursing care he received at Moorland.

My family and I couldn't have asked for any better care than our father received at Moorland. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursing home which has given our family peace of mind that our father is getting the very best care possible. Thank you so much to the amazing staff at Moorland

Moorland Gardens is a very well run care home, where the Nursing staff and Carers have the best interests of the residents in the forefront of their minds. Anyone who has a relative in a care home will understand the stress and long hours the staff have to undertake; but at Moorland Gardens they somehow manage to carry out their "every day" duties with a smile on their faces, whilst often having to deal with the bureaucratic nature of the NHS. What really impressed me about Moorland Gardens was the way the Manager dealt with any concerns, or problems from the resident's families. The manager completely understands how to deal with any delicate issues and it is a credit to her and the team in how they deal with these problems. Sadly my Mother passed away in January 2025, but I know for certain the care she received was far superior to some of the other care homes that we had the misfortune of dealing with locally.

Thank you to everyone at Moorland Gardens.

My mother is a resident in Moreland's care home in Luton. She has mental health issues. and is bedbound. The staff at Moorlands are very caring and friendly. I feel safe that my mum is being looked after when we're not there. They are always on hand to answer any questions and deal with any issues we may have. The room she is in is very nice with a TV. Also very clean. Can't say enough good about this place. Compared to the last care home, my mum was at which was awful it's like night and day. The care home manager is also very helpful and courteous, always makes time to answer any questions we may have concerning my mother. Would definitely recommend for anyone who has a relative about to go into a care home to look at this place. Don't think you will be disappointed.

I find everything about Moorland Gardens excellent, the staff go above and beyond with their help and care. They make you feel very welcome as soon as you arrive. It's spotlessly clean and you see the cleaners working nonstop. The food is fantastic. I know my partner is well looked after and cared for, it makes me feel at areas knowing this. There is nothing I could find fault with, keep up the good work, you have great staff working there.

Moorland Gardens Care Home was kind and caring. All the staff were lovely, very patient and very considerate, putting their client's best interests first. The home was spotlessly clean, and all the food that was served was always hot and of very good quality. Communication between ourselves and the home was excellent and kept us informed at all times, and the staff were very supportive of us at this very difficult time.

Overall very satisfied with the care our late mum received at Moorland Gardens. Mum could at times be very challenging due to her dementia/Alzheimer's. The staff did very well to calm her in sometimes difficult situations. Some staff were better than others but overall they were all very good.

My mum had been with the team at Moorland Gardens Care Home since April 2021 until she passed away last week.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care, compassion and engagement given to her whilst with them. With vascular dementia throughout and a lack of mobility for most of the stay, she was definitely a high-needs and challenging resident.

I cannot speak highly enough of them.

We feel, as a family, that he is certainly in the best place for his health.
Although he might not appreciate or understand why he is there, it is certainly reassuring for the family to know he’s safe. Although he doesn’t have his freedom, it’s a lot better for him to be in a secure home with a clean bed/food and, most importantly, the right medication.
When I visited him yesterday, it was the best I had seen him for a long while.

Although I know his condition changes, seeing him yesterday makes it all worthwhile being there.

I visited my sister and she was all ready in her wheelchair dressed up to go for a visit to the shopping centre in her chair. The staff were polite and my sister was well cared for and her room was kept clean and tidy. It would benefit my sister to have more physio so she can stand up without the use of a hoist.

My Stepmother was admitted to hospital for several weeks and then spent time at Moorlands Gardens for respite and assessment. During this time she was treated in a caring and professional manner of the highest order. On visiting there were strict protocols to follow, e.g. booking a visit, testing for covid and temperature on arrival and mask-wearing. The doors on the routes to the units were keypad controlled. The staff were always helpful and engaged really well with my stepmother, who apart from her recent illness also has early dementia and Alzheimers, so the bewilderment of being in a new environment was an ever-present concern. She was treated very well indeed. Thank you to all staff and management at Moorland Gardens.

My 92-year-old father was superbly looked after and shown great respect and patience at all times. His every need was catered for. He was very happy and enjoyed being surrounded with the love and company of the other residents, carers, nurses and all dinner staff. The reception area always greeted me with a big smile and would answer all my queries immediately. I told my dad he was on a five-star holiday, fully inclusive and ensuite in his spotless bedroom.
