Rosewood House Care Home

I've been a Resident at Rosewood House Care home in the neurology unit, for almost 2 years now. I honestly, don't know where would I be if it wasn't for this outstandingly caring home. Living in such a facility can be quite challenging for most of us . But, the truth is, from the manager and the wellbeing
team and with the caregivers, nurses and everyone caring for us. The home goes beyond expectations to offer the best care with attentiveness and ease. I came a long way and, I really appreciate everything the home did to help me through out my journey of healing! Thank you all, from all my heart

My sister was asked to go into Ashwood from a stay in hospital with the intention of staying full time if needed, she had really friendly service and care from all the staff from the first day.
Unfortunately she passed away due to illness after 8 weeks, but it's good to know she was happy.

My mum was admitted from hospital as she needed more care than she was getting at home. The staff were extremely tolerant and understanding of her occasional outbursts and the activities varied and appropriate for residents varying conditions. We were well updated about her and looked after very well
as relatives of her. Thinking of reserving a room for when I need it !!

Fern Gardens Care Home

from Jolene C (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 24 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

When I arrived to visit my grandad, there was no one on reception to greet me and let me in. When I managed to attract someone's attention I was quickly shown to the area I needed to go to. The staff all seemed friendly and said hello to me, but I was disappointed to see the communal TV showing you
tube reruns of Britain's got talent. Not exactly appropriate for the elderly residents staying there. My grandad said "I don't think much of the music they play here". Is this something the staff like to watch? Surely it would be more appropriate to have age related programs, maybe BBC 3, ITV4 etc, or easy listening radio, eg smooth fm. My grandad seemed happy with the care home other than this. When I left, again there was no one on reception to let me out.

My dad was given a place at Brook House and I went in to see him the next day. He looked terrible! Filthy clothes on, all stained. He was unshaven and un showered and was obviously confused but the staff were good with him. Just a little more time could have been spent on him on his first day. I hope
everything improves as he doesn't have a long time left.

Review of

Alexander Court Care Centre

from Gary C (Relative of Resident) published on 8 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5

While we appreciate the essential care provided at Alexander Court - including feeding, medication, and hygiene - we've been left disappointed by the lack of support when it comes to our relative's rehabilitation. We requested just 10 minutes a day to assist her with physio exercises, but were told
bluntly that staff "don't have the time."
What's especially frustrating is that during our visits, we've frequently seen several staff members standing around in the corridors, chatting loudly. It's hard to accept that there's no time for a brief, meaningful intervention when there's clearly downtime. Not only does this idle chatter seem like a waste of valuable care time, it may also cause unnecessary distress for residents who need calm environments.
Alexander Court gets the basics right, but falls short on compassionate, person-centred care beyond the bare minimum.

Reply from Abi SANUSI, Manager at Alexander Court Care Centre

We are sorry that the 10 minutes physio exercise request did not materialise. However, we aim to provide better service to all our resident and ensure a comfortable stay. Please make out time to speak to the manager if a request cannot be met at unit level.

My sister is a Resident of this Care Home. Her care and support, is professionally done. She is well cared for, in every aspect of her designated care plan. My sister is happy and contented. She is always clean and presentable, whenever I visited her. The staff and management, does an excellent
job. Actually I felt like part of a family, whenever I visited. Everyone goes beyond the call of duty to ensure, satisfaction at every level, from the Cleaners to the front of house staff. I am kept updated, with any changes. My overall experience and satisfaction, shows that the service given, is of an high and outstanding level. I would recommend this Care Home to anyone, looking for a, caring, nurturing, friendly and helpful environment for their loved one.

My husbands mum/ my mother-in-law stayed in Alexander Court for 8 weeks after having 2 conservative falls over a 4 week period, resulting in fractures in both legs & ankles and needed care and rehabilitation to help her back on her feet. She is 94 years old, lives independently, completely of sound
mind and can be stubborn as an ox when it comes to determination. Always able to care personally and practically for herself. From showering, cooking, cleaning, nothing stopped her. When we arrived, We were greeted with the biggest smiles that immediately put her/ us at ease. When shown to her room, members of staff introduced themselves,.
She stayed 8 weeks in total, in that time, cared for impeccably with grace, understanding, kindness and most importantly total respect. All the staff are amazing.
The door is always open so we could visit whenever we wanted, day or night. That to me, says it all.
Thankyou Alexander Court.

Exceptional Care at Fountain's Care Home, Raynham
Fountain's Care Home in Raynham has been a wonderful place for my father. He is on Victoria falls Ward, where the nursing staff have been absolutely outstanding in managing his medical care. They are attentive, professional, and show real compassion
in everything they do. All the staff are warm, caring, and supportive, and the management team is equally excellent. It's a fantastic care home, and we feel very reassured knowing he's in such good hands.

My aunt moved into Ashwood in June 2024 and I have been delighted with the care she has received. The staff are kind and thoughtful, all they knew about her was that she liked cats and they printed her door name with a cat on it. My aunt's health has improved since being at Ashwood due to the care she
receives. I live a long way from Hayes and the staff keep me informed about her and make me feel very welcome when I visit.

My father was in the care of The Beech Court nursing team for the last 18 months of his life until January 2025.
The dedication, kindness & commitment of the nursing team and the level of care he received from everyone was outstanding and we were delighted with the care he received 24 hours a day (
I stayed into the night at times when Dad was very frail ).
The Management and Senior Nurses set a great example of genuinely caring about the patient and we were always aware that his wellbeing and treatment/medication was very important.
When he was in hospital in September 2024 , the A&E and Frailty Nurses asked which nursing home he has been in - as his skin, Cleanliness and general condition was so good !
In the eulogy for my Dads life we thanked The Manager, nurses and carers at Beech Court, who all gave Dad great care and thoughtful friendship.
Care for the elderly is a 24 hour commitment and Dad was blessed to be in the right place to receive the level of care he deserved.
