To everyone at the care home,
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the kindness, care, and compassion you showed our dad during his time with you. Knowing he was surrounded by people who treated him with dignity, patience, and warmth brought us great comfort.
Thank you for the
support you gave not only to him, but also to our family during such an emotional time. Your dedication and humanity will always be remembered with gratitude.
We will always appreciate the care, respect, and comfort you gave him in his final days.
With sincere thanks,
From Family

I moved my god-mother to Clarendon Nursing Home because her mental health had seriously deteriorated. She has been a resident for many years and has been well cared for. I have no complaints on her care and would recommend Clarendon as a place of excellent care.

Dad has been at Clarendon Nursing Home for 4 months for long term care. The nursing team work extremely hard to manage his complex needs with skill and patience - nothing is too much trouble!
What stands out the most is the level of kindness. Dad is treated with respect and dignity - so much so that
he is referred to by the nursing team as "Papa" (treated like family). They genuinely care!
The manager is exceptional! Always responsive , compassionate leading her team by example.
To know that Dad is safe brings reassurance, and comfort during this difficult time.
We couldn't be more grateful.

It has been over one month since my husband moved into this facility and so far he seems to have settled in well. He appears more relaxed and more alert. he is enjoying his meal and has put on some weight. On the first day here when Prescott moved in, he was well received by his key worker Syed and
being well cared for by him and the rest of the team. Please keep this up. Thanks.

Ashwood has provided a warm, friendly, and supportive environment for our mum during what has been a difficult transition for all of us. Moving a loved one into care is never an easy decision, but the compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by the manager and staff, made the process less
daunting. The manager set an excellent tone from the outset. She was approachable, attentive, and committed to mum's wellbeing. She provided clear guidance and support through the onboarding process with patience, answering all our questions and addressing concerns with empathy. Staff are consistently kind, patient, and respectful. They have built a genuine relationship with mum, taking time to understand her preferences and helping her feel safe, comfortable, and heard.
Communication is another strength. The team provides regular updates and handles any concerns promptly and thoughtfully, creating real trust. Visiting is also very flexible, allowing us to stay closely involved.

Overall, this care home is really good with just a few things to improve. Caring and sympathetic staff. Access to management could improve. Probably the best care home in the area (through experience).
Reply from Karen Faith de Pablo, Registered Manager at Springfield Care CentreThank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you find the home caring and our staff supportive. We're sorry to hear that accessing management has felt difficult. There is a relatives' surgery every Thursday from 3-5pm (walk-in or by appointment), and management can also be accessed daily on a walk-in basis. We also hold quarterly relatives' meetings. Management is available out of hours if needed, and you're always welcome to email us for any non-urgent queries. We appreciate your comments and will continue to look at ways to improve accessibility. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

This place saved my mother's life. No doubt. She lived at home with visiting careers for a while. But she was not doing well. Not well at all! From moving into Ashwood a few years ago she has literally blossomed! She is thriving! She is doing her hair and nails again. Choosing the clothes she would
like to wear that day etc.
She is so happy there, and feels so safe that she won't leave! You will not get her further than the beautiful gardens. And if she has time for a call in the evening, after a cooked breakfast and cereal, a cooked lunch, a morning full of practical activities and an afternoon chatting in the living room before dinner then you are privileged!
I have just got home after a wonderful afternoon at an Easter tea party. Where she won a beautiful and large make up pallet at the raffel and I am so stuffed I am going to take a nap now.
Thankyou so much to all the staff working so hard at Ashwood Care Center. You are all family.

My mum's final months at Alexandra Court were heartbreaking, and I deeply regret she spent her last days here. The care was unacceptable. As a vegetarian, her meals were a joke-usually just food covered in cheese sauce. They once even served her a microwaved beetroot and cheese sandwich.
Basic hygiene
was neglected; we often found her in filthy bedding and unchanged clothes. Call bells were ignored for ages by indifferent staff. Most devastating was the lack of empathy when she passed away. One staff member actually told us, "we all have to go sometime," while management demanded we clear her room within 48 hours. Only one person showed any real compassion.
This home lacks basic dignity and professional standards. If you want your loved one to be treated with respect and stay clean and fed, do not send them here. The "care" provided was cold, lazy, and deeply disrespectful to a vulnerable woman and her grieving family.
Reply from Abi SANUSI, Home Manager at Alexander Court Care CentreI want to personally thank you for your honest review. We take all feedback seriously, especially when it highlights areas where we've fallen short of expectations. I've thoroughly reviewed your comments with our team, and we're implementing changes to address the issues you've raised. Specifically, we're reviewing our approach the resident on last phase of life alongside support given to the family. once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations. please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss and our apologies once again for any distress you may have suffered.

Xmas lunch was very disappointing most of it couldn't be eaten
Tough beef. Dry roast potatoes
burnt pigs in blankets.watery gravy
The overall menu is good but preparation and serving of meals should be overalled ie The veg is always overcooked sausages are served 2 to 3 times a week the fish served
on a Friday is mostly all batter every day the meals are only barely warm .This has been discussed many times but it's still the same.
On the occasion day the residents do get a nice meal.
The plastic drinking beakers are very badly stained as well as the desert spoons they are not washed properly and should be bleached or renewed If all the above could be changed the Fountains would be in my view PERFECT
Also the activity ladies go above and beyond for all the residents my rating for those ladies would be a 5 star plus
Reply from Claire May, Home Manager at The Fountains Care CentreThank you for your comments. I was unaware of the issues with Christmas lunch, however this is your experience and I respect that. I would like to have another conversation with you to see where improvements can be made and to go through recent menu changes. I also appreciate your other positive comments and will ensure the activity team receive your compliments. Thank you again.
