My dads clothes go missing (even when labelled)
Laura is the only nurse whom calls us and gives updates.
Dad is left alone and has only left when in hospital.
I noticed cobwebs on three occasions. I had to use the vac.
The entertainer had to paint my dads room due to staffing.

No one to speak to when visit. Why cant you have an app for us to look into

From day 1 Jenny and the team have been amazing. The transition was smooth and stress free. Dad is very happy in their care. He is always clean shaven dressed appropriately. You can tell by dads reaction to the staff how happy he is.
His room is always spotless.

Its a very family orientated environment. I can not find a fault at all and very grateful for making a hard time a lot easier.

As a family we have been very pleased with the care our relative has received whilst they have been a resident at Bentley Court.
The staff are very respectful and caring. They are always available to speak to and will answer any questions we have. They have listened to positive feedback and also when we have had minor concerns.

We would recommend Bentley Court highly.

Review of Herondale/Kingfisher from Anna T (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My dad has spent quite a few years at Kingfisher Nursing Home. Currently, the care he is receiving is excellent. Caring, kind staff who ensure he is comfortable and treated as an individual with dignity. The management of the nursing home is in excellent hands, and their door is always open if we have any concerns about my dad's health or care needs. The overall experience is excellent, and this gives us as a family peace of mind that my dad is well looked after. Thank you.

Mom's room has been decorated well, and pink is her favourite colour. The staff asked how she wanted it to look. Activities are good here, moms are excited for the summer fayre. Staff are helpful, and managers are approachable. Nice smelling home upon entering, homely and family orientated.

We moved our dad to Bentley court recently from another care home he has end of life dementia
when he arrived we didn't expect him to still be with us nearly 3 months later but he is and we do believe it's because of the excellent care he has recieved from the staff here
they are so attentive nothing is to much trouble for them they are so caring & friendly always make you feel welcome

My dad has been in a few care homes & Bentley court is the best by far our only regret is that he wasn't able to receive this level of excellent care sooner

Generally good. Staff are caring as are nursing staff. Concerns are addressed promptley. Good idea to station auxilary nurse station in dayroom to monitor residents when care staff are both in a room doing personal care to a bedbound patient. Responsive management team

Looked after my poorly stepdad for end of life care, although his time here was very short, the team looked after him with respect and care I would want for myself. Nothing was too much from all staff. Met with smiles and compassion by everyone on every visit day and night staff. The end of life care each and every member of staff gave my stepdad was exceptional thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts for giving our loved one a dignified respectful ending and listening to all of our concerns

All the team are very supportive in these difficult times. The staff work together very well, so any concerns are always dealt with promptly. Staff have assisted us to make the room more homely and comfortable, and have great fun with quizzes and music events.

We have seen positive improvement in Bernard, and we attribute this to his being involved in various activities, in part and a more inclusive environment. He can be independent and non-cooperative, but is treated with respect.

Reply from HAYLEY KYTE, Home Manager at Herondale/Kingfisher

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback.

Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team, who work hard every day to ensure residents feel respected, supported, and included. Thank you for placing your trust in us and for recognising the efforts made to support Bernard's journey.

Over the last few weeks, I have seen the staff work together very well as a team. They pull together to make each day count. Although they are under increasing pressure from daily tasks, they plough through. They try to support each resident's individual needs. They have been very supportive of us as a family. When problems occur, they are dealt with promptly. A big thank you from myself and my mom to all the team, from the management to the nurses, carers, activity staff, kitchen staff, and maintenance staff. Keep up the good work.

After a regular visit to my sister-in-law Bernadette who has been a resident at Bromford Lane care home for 12 months I feel I need to Compliment the care given. I was impressed today with the carers Ade & Adam who were giving assistance to vulnerable residents in the dining room. Their attention to the care and assistance was excellent and very attentive. Wonderful to see.
