that he needed. From the moment we came to view & met the staff at County Homes Care Home we knew our dad was going to get the care he needed. Seeing how the other residents were & the interaction with all staff was very reassuring. Everywhere was spotless not just clean also tidy and well maintained. All staff in the office, the nurses, the cleaners, the carers, the laundry & the handy man (apologies if I have missed anyone) were so caring with an abundance of patience. They all really did look after dad like he was family. The support and advice my brother and I also received has been invaluable. We have had a very difficult few years and when dad was recently placed at County Court the relief of him being looked after so well was phenomenal. I cannot describe the feeling of relief. Dad passed away at CCH, the care & dignity was outstanding. You are all exceptional people!

I have never heard any of them raise their voice or anything, they are all so lovely with him & are always there to support me also, which means the world to me! The only thing I would say would be to have more activities for the patients.

I believe the home could do with a light makeover; my mum's room needs a lick of paint and the food can sometimes be a little repetitive; it's the people there that make the difference. They are courteous towards visiting family members and go out of their way to include us in activities. It really is like one big family. I am more than happy to recommend Birch Tree Manor.

which I don't have the photo for now. She went from being a size 10 to a size 18 in 6 months and always had sweets and treats in her room which she never ate when she was still at home. Before she left, the armchair vanished from her room so she had to sit on the bed. I felt she was a quiet resident and as a result she was ignored a lot of the time. Obviously we have now moved her.

The staff and management are truly dedicated to all residents and do so much for them, they are unique and bonded and whatever they are paid, they should get more!!From the Chef, the Handyperson, one member of staff in the office, right up to the amazing management team, I cannot praise and thank them enough for all they did for my beloved cousin. I'm truly grateful to everyone for all their love, care and attention shown to us all as a family. Residents there are very fortunate to be in Birch Tree's care.

Both the manager and assistant manager are very approachable, helpful and have answered any questions I have in a full and honest manner. The home has gone out of its way to make my partner's, stay as comfortable as possible, her room has been fully decorated with new blinds and extra safety equipment. In my opinion, Birch Tree Manor has and continues to go above and beyond.

so lonely at home, this has all changed, she has been encouraged to eat, which she was not doing, she would have died without their support, above all, she's happy. 24-hour care in the correct environment, with people who care, is not the end of life people envisage. My mother-in-law is cared for as myself and her family would wish, she is end of life but aren't we all. It's great she's cared for, the staff appear efficient, it is what we would wish. 2 days after he moved in, he was deep in conversation with another resident and seemed very happy and settled.
Sadly, he didn't get to enjoy his new home for long. Ten days after arriving he developed another chest infection (he suffered from chronic fibrosis) and the staff kept me informed every step of the way. It had been agreed that he wasn't to be re-admitted to hospital so the staff administered medication to him. They kept him warm and comfortable and he received excellent medical care. I was so sad when he died suddenly but he could not have been with kinder or more caring people.
What an amazing home - all care homes should aspire to this standard. Superb!

in comfortably. She kept me informed how he was doing while he settled in. When I visited him for the first time, he appeared so relaxed and happy it was like a miracle. All my fears and the terrible stories you hear about care homes were forgotten. The agitation he showed constantly at home seemed almost gone. All the staff I have met so far seem friendly and caring and happy to see me and to help in any way. The different security codes for 3 doors to get out convinced me that he was secure and safe. The most important thing of all, thanks to the great efforts of the team is that he looks happy again. Thank you all.

lot of extra care. The carers have been diligent in repositioning her regularly and encouraging her to eat and drink as much as possible. They are so kind and warm towards her and very gentle when moving her. Her face lights up when they come into her room. The staff have also been very kind and caring to us as family and the manager has kept a close eye on things and kept us fully informed.
