My mum was a resident here for the last 7 months. In that time she was able to enjoy going out with the staff around the local area including a trip to the garden centre, which she would have loved, cream teas, pizza making, bingo.... just doing normal things on a regular basis. It made me so happy
to see her involved in activities both inside and outside of the home.
Thankyou so much to the staff for their care and ensuring my mum had a happy quality of life before her sudden passing. Forever grateful to you all

My sister has lived here as a resident for the last 7 years, the high standard of care that is provided is excellent and I cannot fault the staff team who deal my all my sister's complex care needs on a daily basis. Management team are very approachable and any concerns/issues I have had are acted upon

My mum has been at Birch Tree Manor since September 2022 having been diagnosed with dementia. She has been treated with dignity and respect by all the staff employed there; be them permanent or agency staff. They all have an excellent relationship with my mum and she always has a good word to say about
their attentive nature towards her. The care she is given is exemplary from the cleaner to the senior nurses right up to the manager. I believe the home could do with a light makeover; my mum's room needs a lick of paint and the food can sometimes be a little repetitive; it's the people there that make the difference. They are courteous towards visiting family members and go out of their way to include us in activities. It really is like one big family. I am more than happy to recommend Birch Tree Manor.

My mother's experience at Birch Tree Manor was dreadful: despite labelling all her clothes more than half of them went missing never to be seen again - brand new clothes from a quality high street store and quite expensive. She also had the remote control for her TV taken and a canvas of our family
which I don't have the photo for now. She went from being a size 10 to a size 18 in 6 months and always had sweets and treats in her room which she never ate when she was still at home. Before she left, the armchair vanished from her room so she had to sit on the bed. I felt she was a quiet resident and as a result she was ignored a lot of the time. Obviously we have now moved her.

I cannot recommend Birch Tree Manor highly enough. My amazing cousin lived at Birch Tree Manor for the last 2 plus years until his untimely death. The care, attention and dedication we all received was second to none and the staff became our second family. So much so that we still intend to visit and
take part in activities and events to support staff and residents. The staff and management are truly dedicated to all residents and do so much for them, they are unique and bonded and whatever they are paid, they should get more!!From the Chef, the Handyperson, one member of staff in the office, right up to the amazing management team, I cannot praise and thank them enough for all they did for my beloved cousin. I'm truly grateful to everyone for all their love, care and attention shown to us all as a family. Residents there are very fortunate to be in Birch Tree's care.

My mum has been in Birch Tree Manor since April. The home has made such a huge difference to her, she's so happy and settled and she loves all the care staff. For me and my brother, it has given us peace of mind knowing all her needs are met. I can't thank all the staff enough for the support and love
they give to my mum and how she is treated so well. I've not had any experience with care homes before so I was a bit wary, but I am so happy we chose Birch Tree it's exceptional.

My partner was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and went straight from hospital to Birch Tree Manor, in hospital she had stopped eating and was being fed through a PEG tube, after a short period of adjustment she started eating again and regained weight. She settled in well and we could see that
she was a lot more calm and happier. All the staff have been absolutely brilliant and it is through their help and efforts that my partner has improved. I cannot thank everyone enough for their kind, caring and professional help and service to my partner and also the support, advice and counselling to myself. Both the manager and assistant manager are very approachable, helpful and have answered any questions I have in a full and honest manner. The home has gone out of its way to make my partner's, stay as comfortable as possible, her room has been fully decorated with new blinds and extra safety equipment. In my opinion, Birch Tree Manor has and continues to go above and beyond.

1) Friendly, helpful staff.
2) Residents seem to sit too long in wet clothing.
3) Rooms/corridors don't smell very fresh and need decorating - extremely tired!
4) All areas need a deep clean, from front entrance of building to throughout all building.

Amazed by the support and encouragement that my mother-in-law has received since moving into this care home, everyone says, don't place me in a 24-hour care home setting. They feel it will take their life away, my mother-in-law's life has been extended, highly improved, she was so sad, so confused,
so lonely at home, this has all changed, she has been encouraged to eat, which she was not doing, she would have died without their support, above all, she's happy. 24-hour care in the correct environment, with people who care, is not the end of life people envisage. My mother-in-law is cared for as myself and her family would wish, she is end of life but aren't we all. It's great she's cared for, the staff appear efficient, it is what we would wish. Thanks Birch Tree Manor.

Transferred my hubby to Birch Tree Manor after a bad experience at a different home. Since he's been at Birch Tree his overall health and well-being have improved 100% the care he gets is second to none the Manager and the rest of her staff are absolutely amazing they have different activities every

My mum moved from residential care into Birch Tree Manor and I will admit, I was apprehensive. However, I can honestly say that the care Mum now receives is amazing! She used to show challenging behaviour daily and spent all day in bed but now she is so happy and clearly adores all of the staff who
care for her and is always up in the lounge whenever I visit. She is also given lots of lovely food and has gained weight since the move. (Very happy daughter).

My mother-in-law moved into Birch Tree Manor after a long spell in hospital. The manager visited her there to get to know her and check that the home was suitable. Birch Tree is bright and clean and the staff are all so caring and professional. Recently my mother-in-law law has been ill and needed a
lot of extra care. The carers have been diligent in repositioning her regularly and encouraging her to eat and drink as much as possible. They are so kind and warm towards her and very gentle when moving her. Her face lights up when they come into her room. The staff have also been very kind and caring to us as family and the manager has kept a close eye on things and kept us fully informed.

Birch Tree Manor is an amazing and outstanding care home. All the staff are kind, caring, loving and fully understand the needs of people who have dementia. All residents are treated the same, with empathy. My brother is one of the residents in the home, he's loved and very happy there. Even the visitors
and treated very well, offered drinks and always kept advised about his well-being. The home deserves all the commendations it receives.

Having to put my husband into care (due to deterioration of his dementia) was a difficult decision. Would he be looked after properly, medication given correctly (he has Type 1 Diabetes), kept clean and fed properly? I needn't have worried; the staff at Birch Tree Manor are wonderful and look after
my husband as if he were their own family. Everywhere is lovely and clean, the food is good and the staff are very professional. The Home Manager and Deputy are very approachable and happy to answer any concerns. I am so glad my husband is in such a welcoming and caring home and thank everyone for taking such good care of him. I know he is safe and well cared for.

Dad moved to Birch Tree Manor end of November. His care and respect shown to him and us as his family has been 2nd to none. On entering the building we received a warm welcome from the manager and deputy who reassured us how they would care for Dad unconditionally and they did not disappoint. Towards
the end when we stayed through the nights we were supplied with endless cups of tea and regularly offered food to look after us as well as Dad. They did regular checks etc which, whilst we appreciate that is their role but to us, they went over and above in their caring manner allowing him also to have his dignity intact. The staff we came into contact with thank you, you are a credit to your profession. To those behind the scenes who we didn’t meet domestics, kitchen staff we didn’t meet but you should be proud of what you do. The home is immaculate and lovely things to eat but as we all appreciate at these times a good cup of tea. Keep up the excellent work.

My mother moved into Birch Tree after spending a few months in hospital after a fall. She had become too frail to live at home aged 90. I have to say that Birch Tree has been a fantastic place for her to spend her last months until she passed away recently.
The staff genuinely cared for the residents,
and throughout her stay of 8 months, the whole team took exceptional care of her. The room was always clean, they ensured she was getting her medication at the right time and encouraged her to engage in the social activities they had arranged in the lounges.
My mother had early dementia when she moved in and it was progressive, however, the team always looked after her with the patience of saints.
In her final days, the care and compassion shown were outstanding, and the utmost dignity and respect by every single team member was so comforting for the family. They really did care and it showed.
I would highly recommend Birch Tree and the team to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.

Our grandmother receives exceptional care at Birch Tree Manor, she has quite specific needs and everyone who looks after her knows how to care for her in the best way to get the very best possible out of her days. Everyone is friendly, the manager is caring and knowledgeable and everyone is very welcoming.

Where do I begin? From the moment we entered the building to check it out for Mum, we were greeted and welcomed amazingly. From the start, we knew this was the right place, the manager and deputy manager reassured us that they would not give up or let us down with Mum as the 3 previous care homes had.
True to their word we can not ask for a better place for Mum to reside. She is fully looked after by amazing staff who go above and beyond for all their residents. They ensure she eats well, the food is great, plenty of choices, Mum is always kept clean. The staff always talk to Mum and interact with her. Her bedroom is always clean and well-kept. We can go any time of the day knowing Mum is well cared for. There are no hidden agendas! The staff are totally committed to the residents, you can truly see that. They have regular activities that the residents take part in which is lovely to see. Thank you Birch Tree for never giving up on our mum for providing a lovely home for her. A***

My sister and I never believed our mum would need full-time nursing care ever. We never believed we could trust anybody to look after our mum properly. How wrong we were!
They look after her with dignity warmth and genuine empathy.
All her needs are met with her care and well-being.
I would not
hesitate to recommend this outstanding care home to anybody.
The staff are utterly amazing and interact with Mum all of the time.
Well done all of you. You should be proud of yourselves and a very big thank you to all of you for making such a difference to the residents including our mum's lives.
