Review of Richmond Court from Jennifer M (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mum has been in Richmond Court now for 3 years and since joining R.C. the care she receives from all staff members is wonderful. Her needs over the course of time, having advanced dementia, have increased and the staff have never failed to meet her needs. Regarding management - any concerns or worries I may have are always dealt with and resolved. My mum is loved and cared for and that is the best thing ever and the most important thing to her and myself. R.C. has given her that 100% since being here. Any issues/concerns are dealt with. The staff are brilliant!

Review of Richmond Court from B W (Mother of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

As a mother, placing my child in someone else's care was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, from the very beginning the staff have treated him with such kindness, patience and respect that it has given me Complete peace of mind. They genuinely care about the residents and always make us feel welcome when we visit. Knowing my child is receiving such Compassionate Care means the world to me, I am so grateful to everyone for the Support they have shown, both to my child and to our family. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be treated with dignity, respect and genuine Compassion

Review of Lumley Residential Home from Michelle G (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Since Mam has been at this home she has become a lot more relaxed and happy.
There are lots of activities and the staff do all they can to make the residents happy. Always themed parties going on and entertainment. They also do special days out, like my mam went to a garden centre and had lunch out. A real treat!
The food is all home made and they really look after them in this extraordinary heatwave, bringing out paddling pools, eating lollies and iced drinks.
Lumley and staff is a very special place, my Mam is having a great time there, she's loved, kept clean and tidy and staff really interact with all the residents. They actually take time to find out about who they are and what they've done in the past.

Thank you all for looking after my Mam so well x

Review of Lumley Residential Home from Bernadette E (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
This home is just fantastic, there always activities for the residents if they wish to join in. The activities coordinator Hayley is fabulous, she tries to find out what each resident really loves to do. There has been sports cars brought to the home, ponies, dogs. They have themed parties, singers, bingo and crafts.
Any special occasion is celebrated and all the staff are kind and very thoughtful. I cannot say a negative thing about them. My Mam is happy and more importantly relaxed, she has Vascular dementia and can get anxious, they know how to deal with her. She's always, tidy, well fed and they even do her hair. A real home from home. All my family are so relieved that she is safe, happy and well, this is a far cry from the last home she was in!

Thank you all for your wonderful care and support.

My mother D.W. had a bad fall at home and was placed into Redworth to recover after spending one month in hospital. The care she received was second to none. The staff were fantastic, all of the departments that worked with her were very respectful and caring and they supported her on her journey to get back home. Thank you all from the whole family.

Review of Richmond Court from P G (Brother of Resident) published on 9 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My brother lived in here for almost 2 years with severe dementia. I know he was a difficult person, but care was rubbish, not a caring place at all, no fresh air, no exercise, just sat in his room day after day, then they decided he was too difficult and did not want to. He was admitted to hospital, and I wasn't informed then. When I emptied his room, he had one shoe, a pair of glasses with one lens in and quite a bit of stuff missing.

Reply from Victoria Brettwood, Senior Home Manager at Richmond Court
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to read that you were unhappy with your brother's experience and that of your family during what we appreciate was an extremely difficult and emotional time.

We strive to provide compassionate, person-centred care to all those who...

Review of Redworth House Care Home from Eileen B (Partner of Resident) published on 19 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My partner has been at Redworth House for the past 3 years. It took a while for him to settle because he wanted to be at home. However, the staff there have been wonderful with him, he loves to have banter with people and they give back as much as he gives them, which he and I appreciate. Everyone is lovely and not only to him, but I am also treated as part of their whole family, which gives me confidence in everyone that cares for him. Thank you to everyone.
