The staff at Brancepeth court, are an excellent Team they give encouragement to promote independence, I have been given help of late regarding my health as I am diabetic the staff have helped me with healthy food options, not only have my blood sugar dropped from 20 to single figures but I lost half
a stone...all that I felt impossible if I didn't have a good team of health care workers behind me. I love Brancepeth court and proud to be a Tennant here.

My Dad spent time at Brancepeth as a step down from hospital 2 years ago. Continued ill health has now led him to be a full-time nursing resident. He is 87 and extremely frail. He was recently in hospital again and, on returning to Brancepeth, said how lovely it was to be returning 'home'. The staff
are wonderful, caring and so friendly - both to me and to my Dad. He couldn't be in a better place.

My Mam has been in Lumley Court for over 3 years now. Prior to that she was cared for at home by my Dad who subsequently became ill and could no care for her. Since being at Lumley Court she is happier and healthier than she was before. She still has dementia of course but the staff are great with her
and the residents. You really won't find a nicer group of carers and nurses to look after your loved ones. There are lots of social activities and the Home is often decorated with the current theme - Halloween was spectacular. To see her so happy gives a lot of comfort to me. I live a long way away so being able to trust her with such a loving team is a great relief.

Brancepeth Court Care Home has been amazing. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough. Every single person there, the carers, nurses, entertainment team, management, maintenance, treated my grandad with so much kindness and respect.
You can really tell they care about the people they look after. They
made him feel comfortable, cared for and genuinely loved and that meant the world to us as a family.
We're so grateful for everything they did. They gave him the best care we could have wished for.

The staff are welcoming and interact well with residents and visitors. The rooms would benefit from en-suite showers but these would be expensive and may present health and safety issues so this be unfair. Activities are regular and there are regular professional acts of a good standard. Access to a
kitchen area for visitors is a great bonus. I have experience of five local care homes and Lumley Court is the best.

My overall experience is that the staff show great respect, patience, care and professionalism to the residence. I trust the home with my lovely mam. Activities could be more bespoke to individuals needs + rooms. In the last 3 months, the food has improved significantly and is appropriate and nutrious.
Mam looks forward to it. Sometimes residents wait at the exit, which is uncomfortable when leaving or entering. The room is lovely but I think the bathroom is old and in need of updating. The garden space is good but could be more interesting and beautiful for the residence. Its an important space.

A compassionate caring, professional respectful staff and environment. Residents are treated as human beings where individual needs and wants are rooted in respect for each person's human dignity. My gran has been here a few months now. Whenever I've been to visit I always feel like she's home rather than just in care home. Shes always happy, well presnted and settled. The staff and the management are lovely and I can tell by their interaction's that they care for their residents and it's not
just a job to them. I'm always made to feel welcome and nothing is a trouble to them.

My forty-six year old Son was admitted to Brancepeth Court, for a short respite week-end. Having Special needs throughout his entire Life including Autistic features, he is nonspeaking, However he has developed his own unique way of communicating. On our first visit he was hesitant to enter the building,
which was understandable being new. Staff welcomed both Him and I with genuine worth and respect. After a brief hand-over my Daughter and I left. On our return to pick him up to find he was very content and happy. He was offered the next week-end, which he enjoyed. On our Third visit, He was unable to contain his enthusiasm unwilling to wait, pushing me into the Building and leaving me to unpack his things while he entered the small communal area. On my return he was very reluctant to leave. I am unable to express my gratitude to the staff in the Willow unit at Brancepeth Court Actions Speak louder than Words. My Son has Found His Happy Place.
Thank You Willington Care Village.

Redworth House Care Home

My mum has been at Redworth House for approximately 2 weeks. Understandably, when nursing care became necessary, I was apprehensive about putting my mum in a care home. However, from the moment I spoke to the manager on the telephone and our subsequent visit to Redworth House any qualms were alleviated.
The manager and deputy were straight to the point, they answered questions openly and honestly. It was obvious that caring for the elderly and infirm is at the heart of everything they do.
My mum is cared for by staff who are friendly and approachable. They want her to keep as much of her independence as is possible, encouraging my mum to walk with a frame and to take part in social activities such as meal times.
To my mind my mum is receiving the best possible individual care available and I feel fortunate that a place at Redworth House was available for her.

Mum was admitted via crisis to Brancepeth Court. Was treated with warmth & respect by everyone she came into contact with. The senior carer, Janie, went above and beyond to help not only Mum but myself feel reassured. Residents seem happy and cared for (loved). Lots of activities and interaction among
residents, staff and visitors. Felt listened to by everyone. Lovely, friendly home. Mum would have stayed, but we needed her closer to us. Thank you.

Since our Mum became a resident, both through temporary and permanent status, she has gained an extra spring in her step. From how she was beforehand, her appetite for food and enjoyment has totally transformed for the better.
On every visit we can see how much the care workers, kitchen staff and all
workers are attentive to our mum's needs.
It's such a joy to visit and also to see how happy our mum is - for this we will be forever grateful and full credit to all the care team. MUCH APPRECIATED and THANK YOU

My grandmother never settled here. When she was in hospital on end of life care, a substantial amount was taken from her room. No CCTV in the corridors to support officers in their investigations. I would not put another family member here.
Reply from Uriel Inglis, Regional Manager at Brancepeth CourtHi, I’m very sorry to read your review and to hear that your grandmother didn’t settle with us. We fully understand how difficult this time was for you. Regarding the concern raised seven months ago, no evidence was found to show that anything had been taken from your grandmother’s room; however, we acted in good faith and provided the amount you believed was missing. We cooperated fully with police enquiries, and no wrongdoing by the service was identified. We also prioritise residents’ dignity and privacy, which is why CCTV in corridors is not appropriate in our care setting. We are sorry you feel this way and remain committed to providing transparent and compassionate care.

Accommodation/ rooms are first class, cleaned and maintained regularly. Upon arrival staff assessed my needs and were on hand for anything that arose - 24/7. Totally impressed with the whole experience - much needed at a point where I could not deal with day to day needs on my own.
Highly recommend
this facility. Staff - nurses + carers first rate - friendly and approachable - nothing is too much trouble. First rate!

After always promising my mam not to place in a care home, we had no other choice than to do this for her own safety, after only 1 week of staying here she was so settled and happy, receiving the best care from lovely staff members, weight gain was very important & within weeks gained nearly a stone
in weight. Every member of staff are a great asset to the team, manager is so helpful and approachable with any problems we faced. Myself & siblings have utmost peace of mind knowing how happy our mother is.

My wife was at Redworth House for palliative care. When she first arrived we had problems some down to me and some to them but all my concerns were quickly address. After this shaky start the care she received was excellent from all the staff. My wife was treated with dignity and respect at all times,
the food I can not comment on as she would only eat ice cream by then but they did try. She passed away after 3 weeks and was prepared for next stage of her journey by them. Thank you all at Redworth House.
