The staff at Brancepeth court, are an excellent Team they give encouragement to promote independence, I have been given help of late regarding my health as I am diabetic the staff have helped me with healthy food options, not only have my blood sugar dropped from 20 to single figures but I lost half
a stone...all that I felt impossible if I didn't have a good team of health care workers behind me. I love Brancepeth court and proud to be a Tennant here.

My Dad spent time at Brancepeth as a step down from hospital 2 years ago. Continued ill health has now led him to be a full-time nursing resident. He is 87 and extremely frail. He was recently in hospital again and, on returning to Brancepeth, said how lovely it was to be returning 'home'. The staff
are wonderful, caring and so friendly - both to me and to my Dad. He couldn't be in a better place.

Brancepeth Court Care Home has been amazing. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough. Every single person there, the carers, nurses, entertainment team, management, maintenance, treated my grandad with so much kindness and respect.
You can really tell they care about the people they look after. They
made him feel comfortable, cared for and genuinely loved and that meant the world to us as a family.
We're so grateful for everything they did. They gave him the best care we could have wished for.

My forty-six year old Son was admitted to Brancepeth Court, for a short respite week-end. Having Special needs throughout his entire Life including Autistic features, he is nonspeaking, However he has developed his own unique way of communicating. On our first visit he was hesitant to enter the building,
which was understandable being new. Staff welcomed both Him and I with genuine worth and respect. After a brief hand-over my Daughter and I left. On our return to pick him up to find he was very content and happy. He was offered the next week-end, which he enjoyed. On our Third visit, He was unable to contain his enthusiasm unwilling to wait, pushing me into the Building and leaving me to unpack his things while he entered the small communal area. On my return he was very reluctant to leave. I am unable to express my gratitude to the staff in the Willow unit at Brancepeth Court Actions Speak louder than Words. My Son has Found His Happy Place.
Thank You Willington Care Village.

Mum was admitted via crisis to Brancepeth Court. Was treated with warmth & respect by everyone she came into contact with. The senior carer, Janie, went above and beyond to help not only Mum but myself feel reassured. Residents seem happy and cared for (loved). Lots of activities and interaction among
residents, staff and visitors. Felt listened to by everyone. Lovely, friendly home. Mum would have stayed, but we needed her closer to us. Thank you.

Since our Mum became a resident, both through temporary and permanent status, she has gained an extra spring in her step. From how she was beforehand, her appetite for food and enjoyment has totally transformed for the better.
On every visit we can see how much the care workers, kitchen staff and all
workers are attentive to our mum's needs.
It's such a joy to visit and also to see how happy our mum is - for this we will be forever grateful and full credit to all the care team. MUCH APPRECIATED and THANK YOU

My grandmother never settled here. When she was in hospital on end of life care, a substantial amount was taken from her room. No CCTV in the corridors to support officers in their investigations. I would not put another family member here.
Reply from Uriel Inglis, Regional Manager at Brancepeth CourtHi, I’m very sorry to read your review and to hear that your grandmother didn’t settle with us. We fully understand how difficult this time was for you. Regarding the concern raised seven months ago, no evidence was found to show that anything had been taken from your grandmother’s room; however, we acted in good faith and provided the amount you believed was missing. We cooperated fully with police enquiries, and no wrongdoing by the service was identified. We also prioritise residents’ dignity and privacy, which is why CCTV in corridors is not appropriate in our care setting. We are sorry you feel this way and remain committed to providing transparent and compassionate care.

After always promising my mam not to place in a care home, we had no other choice than to do this for her own safety, after only 1 week of staying here she was so settled and happy, receiving the best care from lovely staff members, weight gain was very important & within weeks gained nearly a stone
in weight. Every member of staff are a great asset to the team, manager is so helpful and approachable with any problems we faced. Myself & siblings have utmost peace of mind knowing how happy our mother is.

The care that all the staff gave my mother was absolutely brilliant. The staff were all supportive, professional, polite and friendly. They allowed my whole family to relax as we knew they were taking care of her. She was in extreme pain and distraught when she just arrived from hospital but within
an hour she was relaxed and comfortable. The food is of excellent quality. Overall amazing service!!

My wife arrived at Brancepeth Court towards the end of November 2024, I'm impressed with the standard of the home and level of care that she receives, following a major stroke last year.
As a daily visitor, I find the home has a warm and welcoming environment. The carers and nurses always have a smile
on their face and this is reflected in their care towards the residents. They are a credit to their profession.
A lot of effort was put in to make the home festive for the Christmas period, including the staff who entered fully into the spirit of Christmas. An excellent dinner was served up for Christmas Day and all the residents received presents from the home.
The activities staff work very hard and provide a varied selection of activities, especially in the run-up to Christmas. The kitchen staff also work hard to provide delicious, home-cooked meals and varied snacks.
I find the environment of Brancepeth has contributed to my wife's speech recovery which had previously lapsed. Now that my wife is a resident here, I'm confident her health and well-being will continue to improve.

From the very first 10 minutes I was in the home, I knew this was where my wife was going to be cared for. I met a team leader and a nurse and their professionalism and support meant I didn't need to see the room. I decided there and then that this is where I wanted my wife to be. My decision to have
my wife cared for at Brancepeth Court was proved correct straight away. The whole team, from carers, nurses, cleaners, cooks and management, deserve praise for their love, care, professionalism and dedication to their clients. A massive well done to them all.

Being a younger resident I was dreading my time in respite and a time to heal in bed as I thought I would be stuck in my room with my broken leg watching a television. Luckily for me, the staff encouraged me to spend time mixing with the other residents during activities and meal times which helped
break barriers between us and really helped me settle in.
The staff from cleaners, handymen, carers, cooks and domestic all have a polite and courteous manner and are always trying to assist you as best they can.
Compared to other care homes I have stayed in Brancepeth has excelled in their activities provision they really try to think outside the box at times which can be seen by the website and displays.
When it came to meal and snack times there was always a choice of homemade meals available which were delicious.
This by far has been my most comfortable care home experience I would definitely recommend Brancepeth to anyone who is looking for an exceptional care home.

Since my mum was taken to Brancepeth Court in October, she has been shown kindness, respect and friendship by all members of the team, as have my dad and I for whom this has been a difficult few months. taken time to listen to our worries and concerns. I could not recommend Brancepeth Court highly enough.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.580)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.580) out of 10 for Brancepeth Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.680 for Brancepeth Court is calculated as follows: ( (166 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (10 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 197 Ratings = 4.68
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brancepeth Court is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 registered maximum number of service users is 9.8, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
