Brancepeth Court

A wonderful home for mum - mum has now been at Brancepeth Court for three weeks, and we honestly can't believe the difference in her. At 96, and with advanced Alzheimer's, she is incredibly frail and we know her overall condition isn't going to improve but what has changed is how peaceful, content and cared for she seems. Previously, mum was largely bedbound. Here she is encouraged to get up each day, enjoy a routine and spend time with others. She has company around her, which has made such a difference to her lonliness, and she has even started doing word searches. She is always clean and beautifully cared for, with her hair washed, nails cut and polished, and every effort made to preserve her dignity. the home is exceptionally clean, the food and drinks are excellent, with fresh pureed meals prepared for her, and the staff are kind, attentive and genuinely caring. Knowing mum is safe, comfortable and surrounded by people who treat her with such kindness and dignity is an enormous relied to our family, we are so grateful to everyone who cares for mum.

Everyday is different she says with activities ongoing and all staff members are caring and friendly and nothing is ever not possible they treat you with respect and compassion like your own family members.

The care given to my mother was exceptional every member of staff always greeted myself and family with a smile and friendly hello. Mam was treated with great professionalism in her final days.

I get well looked after at bond care and love living here the managers look after my care plan with good insight and provide the right level of support for my needs! Which is important for me to keep my relationship with support and family members in balance thanks to bond care at Brancepeth court I am in my best frame of mind of which I have not known since my 20's

My father is elderly and does need a lot of care as he is quite unwell. Every single care home staff members, including the nurses, are outstanding. I visit regularly and see they all work extremely hard. Sometimes there are not enough staff for the ratio of residents and I have mentioned that. The manager on Brancepeth appears to work long hours. She is very approachable and, when I;ve had some complaints, she does everything she can to help Dad & I. I had to complain about the food as it was inedible and previously had to buy fish & chips, pie etc for Dad. A new cook was soon employed and she is brilliant. The parking is appalling as is the actual road as there are large holes & gaps and my car has felt the brunt of it. Don't understand why some cement can't be made to fill large holes.

My Dad spent time at Brancepeth as a step down from hospital 2 years ago. Continued ill health has now led him to be a full-time nursing resident. He is 87 and extremely frail. He was recently in hospital again and, on returning to Brancepeth, said how lovely it was to be returning 'home'. The staff are wonderful, caring and so friendly - both to me and to my Dad. He couldn't be in a better place.

We're so grateful for everything they did. They gave him the best care we could have wished for.

Mum was admitted via crisis to Brancepeth Court. Was treated with warmth & respect by everyone she came into contact with. The senior carer, Janie, went above and beyond to help not only Mum but myself feel reassured. Residents seem happy and cared for (loved). Lots of activities and interaction among residents, staff and visitors. Felt listened to by everyone. Lovely, friendly home. Mum would have stayed, but we needed her closer to us. Thank you.

My grandmother never settled here. When she was in hospital on end of life care, a substantial amount was taken from her room. No CCTV in the corridors to support officers in their investigations. I would not put another family member here.

After always promising my mam not to place in a care home, we had no other choice than to do this for her own safety, after only 1 week of staying here she was so settled and happy, receiving the best care from lovely staff members, weight gain was very important & within weeks gained nearly a stone in weight. Every member of staff are a great asset to the team, manager is so helpful and approachable with any problems we faced. Myself & siblings have utmost peace of mind knowing how happy our mother is.

The care my Grandma has received here has been above and beyond. there isnt one thing I canfault. Since coming here she is brighter and happy.

The care I received while I was in Brancepeth Court, Willington was absolutely first-class. Every member of staff treated me with care and respect. The food was excellent.

The care that all the staff gave my mother was absolutely brilliant. The staff were all supportive, professional, polite and friendly. They allowed my whole family to relax as we knew they were taking care of her. She was in extreme pain and distraught when she just arrived from hospital but within an hour she was relaxed and comfortable. The food is of excellent quality. Overall amazing service!!

I find the environment of Brancepeth has contributed to my wife's speech recovery which had previously lapsed. Now that my wife is a resident here, I'm confident her health and well-being will continue to improve.

From the very first 10 minutes I was in the home, I knew this was where my wife was going to be cared for. I met a team leader and a nurse and their professionalism and support meant I didn't need to see the room. I decided there and then that this is where I wanted my wife to be. My decision to have my wife cared for at Brancepeth Court was proved correct straight away. The whole team, from carers, nurses, cleaners, cooks and management, deserve praise for their love, care, professionalism and dedication to their clients. A massive well done to them all.

This by far has been my most comfortable care home experience I would definitely recommend Brancepeth to anyone who is looking for an exceptional care home.
