My mam would like to thank all the staff for all the care they have given to her while being here for rehabilitation after breaking her pelvis.

Myself and family are also more than happy with the care and entertainment that has helped my mam has stayed there. We have no complaints at all and are very happy, all the staff have been amazing and we can't thank you all enough.

Very impressed by the warmth, care and pleasant attitudes shown by every sing person with whom we come into contact. Nothing is ever too much for them to deal with.

Since my mum was taken to Brancepeth Court in October, she has been shown kindness, respect and friendship by all members of the team, as have my dad and I for whom this has been a difficult few months. Staff have picked up on things with Mum and dealt with them quickly and effectively and have always taken time to listen to our worries and concerns. I could not recommend Brancepeth Court highly enough.

I highly recommend this home, they have helped my Mam so much that she is now well enough to go home. The care and management team are all amazing, the home itself is clean, today and the new decor is lovely, so inviting and homely.

We cannot thank the care staff and management enough for all they have done for my mum in law. The care staff have gone above and beyond to assist her to get back on her feet and to be able to return home, and management, nothing was even a bother, anything we needed was done straight away, such a caring lovely Manager they have. The home itself is very clean and inviting, the lounges that have just been decorated look stunning, we will be recommending this home to all our friends and family.

Michelle - there's not much we can respond to such a kind and reflective review. The home is reflective on its staff and the people who care so much to ensure we provide care with a personal touch. Thank you for all you do!

I work for mental health advocacy service. I am a Relevant Person’s Representative to many clients in Willington Care Village. I have to say, Rose Cottage is outstanding in the level of care they provide. They fully interact and stimulate all residents in the unit and this is visible when visiting the unit. Residents appear happy and content. The staff show great awareness of each individual and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

Satisfied with the care given day to day. However, when issues are raised e.g dental care appointment had to be repeatedly followed up as Dad had a broken tooth and pain for over four weeks. When a light bulb went off in his room, it took four days to be replaced.

Found the home needed refreshing on the decor. The staff are excellent and very friendly and caring. Will recommend the home to anyone who asks my opinion. Thought that more staff may be needed, but those that are available are very good and professional.

Thank you for your feedback. Just for your reassurance, we staff according to dependencies. It is worth noting of late, we have struggled and have been reliant on agency use. We are currently recruiting a decorator to assist with a long-term project. Whilst we appreciate all feedback, we would always want our residents and relatives to approach us with this detail in the first instance.

Sometimes feel it is a struggle to get any information on my husband. When I ask all I get told is he is ok. It would be nice to know how things really are. I know it's been hard the last two years, but it's been hard for me also. My heart goes out to all the staff. They don't have it easy. Maybe relatives could be more involved.

My father has had palliative care at Brancepeth Court. The care he has received has been excellent. Staff is very informative, caring, and showing empathy during this difficult time. Communication has been excellent keeping us informed every step of the way and answering any questions we would have. Highly recommended!

In August 2019, my gran was placed in the entrusted care of Management and Staff.
From the initial "settling in period ", the immediate family were always kept updated and all next steps were discussed.
The layout of rooms, cleanliness of areas was impeccable and a standard to be proud of.
During my grans stay she was treated with the utmost dignity, and could not have been cared for any better.
Visitations to the home were never an issue, and all Staff were like a family having regular chats, but being professional when required, often performing over and above.
A massive shout out goes to all Management, members of staff (especially the Senior nurses ), due to my gran slowly deteriorating and sadly passing away the nursing, empathy and sympathy shown was truly amazing

These group of people are truly unsung heroes, thank you all for everything xxx

My dad trusted me to find him a place for him that would provide end of life care and 24 hours nursing. It was not a task I found easy but on visiting Brancepeth Court, within minutes of being there I knew it was a place I would feel happy for my dad to spend the last weeks of his life. It is bright and airy and the welcome is always warm and friendly. After talking with members of staff, I left without a doubt everything I would want for my dad was here. They were very kind to me too and showed great compassion.

Review from Karen S (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 October 2018 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

On the whole, we find this home good, with good staff. The only thing that could be improved greatly is the stimulation of residents, not just occasionally, but in my opinion, daily. Even one person designated to this task and especially at weekends. Those that can walk made to move etc, more children entertaining from schools, dance schools - pet therapy or just a daily chat. I understand staffing may be a problem.

Reply from Harry Inglis, RM at Brancepeth Court
Thank you Karen for your review.

Activities in a care setting is always challenging in terms of cooperation with residents. We have recently reinvigorated our activities and hope this will make an even bigger difference to the impact it has on our residents.
