The home is immaculately clean & very welcoming. A good variety of food & drink are provided, and the staff encourage all residents to eat properly. A lot of activities are provided, and participation is encouraged to help residents' overall well being.

my mum went into Allan Court in January this year, she has mild dementia and suffered with falls. We are blessed to have found this wonderful care home. It is beyond exceptional with wonderful caring staff, very clean. Everyone so friendly, kind and nothing is a bother for her or us as relatives - we could not be happier with her care here. It lessens so much pressure on us. Thank you to everyone.

Since my mum came to Allan Court we have seen nothing but pure care and kindness. The rooms are absolutely lovely, the whole place is lovely, clean and smells nice! All the staff are absolutely amazing. They have my mum's interest, care, happiness, health at heart. They all go above & beyond! We as a family feel part of their care too.

I have my husband, Herb, as a resident in Alan Court for just over 2 yrs now. I wasn't too sure at first. But as time has gone on, I realise he is well looked after; I have no reason to complain about anything, as staff have done. A good job all around. Herb and I have good relations with all staff.

Bianca, Tracey and Amanda are a very strong management team who make a massive committment to residents and their families but are also clearly respected by staff. This is a happy home, where residents clearly feel secure and genuinely loved. They go the extra mile to organise outings and events, such as the VE day celebration today, with a real respectful and later a party atmosphere, brass ensemble and lovely buffet. The cook and Handyman Kevin also need a special mention for ALWAYS going the extra mile to do whatever is needed , way outside of their job descriptions. An amazing team, I would recommend.

I am so pleased with the care my husband is having, everyone is so friendly and caring. His birthday party was fabulous, lovely spread, presents, singing. So pleased he is here. Thank you all.

My dad has been met with dignity and friendliness that I did not expect. He has been here a few weeks and already is feeling relaxed and accepted, even his humour is met with humour. My dad's birthday today surprised us all. A full birthday spread, gifts, singing and smiling, it truly was a joy to see, and my dad felt seen, and cared for. Thank you.

The care and attention provided by staff and management is second to none. Quality rooms you can personalise with all facilities you could need.

This care home is very clean and friendly. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and spick and span. There are lots of activities to do, if you choose. The residents are treated with the greatest respect and are always put first.

Walking through the doors lovely environment, warm and inviting, fragrant no bad odours. Managers door always open and happy to talk to you. Staff friendly, helpful and supportive. We can leave Mam/Wife feeling she is safe and well cared for. Staff work very hard. Could do with an extra staff member due to the support and care needed. Toilet requests have to wait quite a while due to supporting others.

my grandad was only in here for a short 4 months but the care and kindness they showed him was amazing, he was always smart and smiling and the staff were lovely. The way our family and my grandad has cared for these past few days does not go unnoticed lovley home would recommend to anyone.

I have found most of the team at Donwell House to be caring, professional and friendly. I would add that a few people there go above and beyond. The building and some of the rooms look a little tired but I do see regular improvements being made. I'd like to see easier access to a safe outdoor area during the Spring/Summer months.

I visit my sister at this care home every day. The staff are excellent with the residents everyone is very friendly and will help out with anything. There lots of activities for the residents to do together. I would highly recommend Allan court to anyone.

My mam passed away a week ago but during her last days the staff were incredible, showing such compassion, kindness and love not just to my mam but to the whole family. As a family we will forever be grateful and no words I have are enough to thank each and every member of staff. Angels on earth

My mam was a long-term resident at Donwell House from 2018 to 2026. I'd like to thank all of the present and previous care staff who have looked after my mam so well through her battle with AD. On all of our visits the staff have been friendly and helpful. In earlier years, my mam really enjoyed the games and entertainment on offer each week. She was also very happy with the food and refreshments served every day. I've visited quite a few local care homes in recent years, in my opinion Donwell House stands out as one of the best in the region.

My Dad has been in Donwell House for just over two years. As applies to all residents leaving your home and moving into a care home is a huge upheaval. That said the team at Donwell have been truly outstanding and made my Dad feel safe at first, then content, and finally feeling really settled there. We have, as a family , met some lovely staff who really go the extra mile in making a difference for both residents and their families.

I could not praise Tammy and her staff enough, the way they look after my uncle on his last few days. The respect they give my auntie and family was just amazing. Tammy, Becky and Lauren went away and beyond their role, they are like family.

My Uncle Peter and Aunty Janet are both on Tammy's floor. When my uncle passed away at home, Tammy, Becky and Laura were amazing; they could not do enough. They went above expectations. They are amazing with my aunt Janet.
