My siblings and I are very grateful for the outstanding care, kindness, and support provide by Ashwood Care Centre for both our parents who are residents.
Mum and dad regularly tell us how wonderful, friendly, and attentive all the staff are. They always speak highly of the care team and often mention how much they appreciate the kindness shown to them on a daily basis. It is reassuring for us as a family to see them comfortable, supported, and well cared for.
A particularly special moment for our family was when dad celebrated his 102nd birthday at the care home. The staff truly went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable. They decorated his room, arranged for the chef to make a special birthday cake, and invited residents, including our mum, to gather around dad's bedside to sing Happy Birthday together.

The care home is always clean, organised, and welcoming, and the staff consistently go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, valued, and at home. Thank You

Ashwood has provided a warm, friendly, and supportive environment for our mum during what has been a difficult transition for all of us. Moving a loved one into care is never an easy decision, but the compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by the manager and staff, made the process less daunting. The manager set an excellent tone from the outset. She was approachable, attentive, and committed to mum's wellbeing. She provided clear guidance and support through the onboarding process with patience, answering all our questions and addressing concerns with empathy. Staff are consistently kind, patient, and respectful. They have built a genuine relationship with mum, taking time to understand her preferences and helping her feel safe, comfortable, and heard.

Communication is another strength. The team provides regular updates and handles any concerns promptly and thoughtfully, creating real trust. Visiting is also very flexible, allowing us to stay closely involved.

This place saved my mother's life. No doubt. She lived at home with visiting careers for a while. But she was not doing well. Not well at all! From moving into Ashwood a few years ago she has literally blossomed! She is thriving! She is doing her hair and nails again. Choosing the clothes she would like to wear that day etc.
She is so happy there, and feels so safe that she won't leave! You will not get her further than the beautiful gardens. And if she has time for a call in the evening, after a cooked breakfast and cereal, a cooked lunch, a morning full of practical activities and an afternoon chatting in the living room before dinner then you are privileged!
I have just got home after a wonderful afternoon at an Easter tea party. Where she won a beautiful and large make up pallet at the raffel and I am so stuffed I am going to take a nap now.

Thankyou so much to all the staff working so hard at Ashwood Care Center. You are all family.

Overall Experience
Mum has been at Ashwood Care Home for 4 years.
She sadly passed away on 20th October 2025.
During her stay at Ashwood Care, my mum always thought it was her home. She would say things like "go to the kitchen and make me a cup of tea". Or I cooked some food for you, it's in the oven"!
My mum was well and truly cared for my all the staff. She was happy and always looked so well. She eat well and was always clean and in different clothing each day. The stress of looking after mum at home was so hard. Once she arrived at the home, things changed and we got to spend quality time with mum. Chatting and playing music to her etc.

She was happy, happy happy and we would like to "thank" Roxana and her brilliant team for all the love and kindness that mum had over the years, without them, mum would have gone down hill and passed away sooner, if she was living at home. She went to the best care home and was cared for dearly. A HUGE THANK you to all the DAY & NIGHT staff for everything!!!

Overall Experience

My brother has been a resident at Ashwood for 18 mths. He has a degenerative condition which means he is bed-bound in the main. Staff are usually on hand to support my brother and keep him clean and fed/hydrated - as he is unable to do this for himself. They are all friendly and dutiful and talk to my brother when they are attending to him although he cannot respond to them. He is treated with respect. I get updates from Gladness (onsite nurse) when there are any health issues or concerns. Home management provide updates/notifications frequently and seek feedback to check that what they are doing as regards care, support and activities is appropriate. Whilst my brother cannot take part in activities I often see these taking place - including a singer singing songs from the war/post war era which was very good and the residents seemed to really enjoy this! It's clear that a lot of thought goes into this. Rooms/facilities are generally clean. I would recommend the home to families

My mum became part of your wonderful care home family in March 2025. She is very happy and loving life. I am so happy to see mum doing well and enjoy her life with you. Mum turned 90 in May and was spoilt by the home. The staff are outstanding and they all work over and beyond for all the residents. Every visit is a pleasure and every one says hello. Nothing is to much trouble and the home is so encouraging. Plenty of daily activities, trips and functions, which mum loves. Thank you Ashwood for everything.

Thank you so much for looking after Rita for these last 6.5yrs. It's been heart breaking for our family watching Rita decline over these last few years. Not living locally, we weren't able to visit as regularly as we would have liked but it was comforting to know that Rita was always well looked after by the Ashwood team. I have to say a special thank you to Gladness , she has been lovely , always making sure we were updated accordingly and always treated Rita with dignity and respect (as did the rest of the team). Her care throughout her stay has been consistent and any isssues that have cropped up have been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

My sister was asked to go into Ashwood from a stay in hospital with the intention of staying full time if needed, she had really friendly service and care from all the staff from the first day.

Unfortunately she passed away due to illness after 8 weeks, but it's good to know she was happy.

My sister is a Resident of this Care Home. Her care and support, is professionally done. She is well cared for, in every aspect of her designated care plan. My sister is happy and contented. She is always clean and presentable, whenever I visited her. The staff and management, does an excellent job. Actually I felt like part of a family, whenever I visited. Everyone goes beyond the call of duty to ensure, satisfaction at every level, from the Cleaners to the front of house staff. I am kept updated, with any changes. My overall experience and satisfaction, shows that the service given, is of an high and outstanding level. I would recommend this Care Home to anyone, looking for a, caring, nurturing, friendly and helpful environment for their loved one.

My husband went to this care home in January 2025. The staff are amazing, from manager to the cleaner, each and every one will go the extra mile to help.

The manager has been very good and caring for an issue I had with my husband, this has thankfully now been resolved with much help from the manager. Thanks again from all of the family.

My aunt moved into Ashwood in June 2024 and I have been delighted with the care she has received. The staff are kind and thoughtful, all they knew about her was that she liked cats and they printed her door name with a cat on it. My aunt's health has improved since being at Ashwood due to the care she receives. I live a long way from Hayes and the staff keep me informed about her and make me feel very welcome when I visit.

The staff are very friendly towards visitors and to residents. They are patient and aware of what each resident is doing, assisting those who need help. I know that when she needs medical help the problem is sorted as soon as possible, which is very important. My overall impression is that she is cared for and is safe. Thanks to the staff, cleaners & cooks!

From the very first day my aunt arrived at Ashwood Care Centre, she has been treated so very well. The staff are wonderful, thoughtful, caring and kind. The maintenance man sorted out her TV and painted the wall in her room and the activity lady made a beautiful name sign for her door. When my aunt was unwell, the nursing staff called for her GP immediately and kept us fully informed of her progress. My aunt enjoyed all the varied activities (which I also joined in!) The ladies play music for her on their own phones when my aunt is feeling low. We are so thankful that my aunt is in this wonderful home. Amazing nursing care!

On the admission of my mother, what was so noticeable and reassuring was how attentive and welcoming the management and staff were. The nurses and caring staff are both knowledgeable and empathetic and have been very supportive in the care of my mother and have at times exceeded my expectations.

When we first began looking for a care home for my sister. I was disappointed with a number of homes. They seemed to be very cramped for space in both rooms and recreational areas. Both are good at Ashwood Care Centre. The staff at Ashwood are also very pleasant, always smiling and most helpful.
