Ashwood Care Home is a modern, three-storey building providing specialist residential and 24-hour nursing care for older residents.

All rooms are en-suite and are freshly decorated throughout. Residents are welcome to bring items of personal furnishings to the home to make their room familiar and comfortable.

The home has a number of communal areas for personal or group enjoyment and the multicultural care team work hard to adapt to the varying needs of residents.

The focus is on delivering high standards of personalised care to those living within the home, which is often praised for being a warm and friendly environment and where residents are supported in their personal choices, hobbies and interests.

My mother was transferred from NHS to Ashwood Care Centre, available at the time, she has been there since June this year and now had an option to move her wherever we wanted, but by the grace of God she is landed in one of the best care homes you could get, I have been looking for care home near my
residence but trust me decided her to leave her there, she is so well looked after, I will call it home away from home. We have no worries if we are not able to see her for some time, her every need is looked after, she is well entertained and the staff is on the top of her hygiene needs all the time, staff is always smiling and conversing with Mum and the guest, it's amazing, staff is so helpful and with a smile always. I also must say the manager went above and beyond to help us and put us at ease, as this all was so new for us she went to the extent to help us with the process and never rushed, even contacted authorities on our behalf. We never felt walking into a care home, it's home.

My dad had a fall at the beginning of July ‘23, cracking his head & had bleeds on the brain. After two long stays in the hospital, he is now in Ashwood Care Centre.
He is being well looked after & gets good food, the carers help him. The staff are all very friendly & welcoming. I feel I can rest easy
knowing they’re looking after him.

I have had full support with my mother in transferring her from hospital into Ashwood Care Centre - following her very distressing summer of deteriorating health. The home manager and two senior nurses in particular have been such a delight to talk to in explaining about my mother settling in and the
positive progress she has made. Everyone is one large family and so efficient. The regular staff have been so welcoming and approachable. I enjoy being greeted by the two administrative staff's nice smiles. Overall, Ashwood is a place where loved ones are cared for, that’s what families want to see and certainly get. Looking forward to the Christmas party!

My aunt has been at Ashwood Care Centre for for over 5 years - and her care is exemplary. She is 90 and has dementia and told me yesterday that “they take very good care of me”. The manager is outstanding - she personally knows the residents and helps them directly when needed. She and the care home
staff also do an incredible job of looking after my Aunt’s elderly friend who visits daily and they go above and beyond by taking care of her mentally, with respect, enabling her to have lunch with my aunt each day and even inviting her to stay for Christmas. Finally, the head nurse who’s been there for years is exceptionally kind and efficient and also phones me when needed to update on my Aunt's care. I couldn’t recommend Ashwood Care Centre more.

The staff are very friendly and always inform me of everything that's happening with my nan.
They make me feel at home, more so, they make my nan feel at home and nothing seems to be too much trouble. When I ask questions they spend time to explain in ways that I will understand.

After my mum suffered a stroke, she was given access to Ashwood Care Centre. The care she received and the friendliest staff, assisted my mum to a great level of recovery. My mum has been relocated to a care home better suited to her recovery now.

My mother has been with Ashwood for three months. The nurses, care workers and management are excellent. Everyone maintains a professional, caring and sincere approach towards the residents. My mother was put at ease from the moment she arrived and as a family, we have continued to see her settle into
her new environment without any troubles. As this was the first time we've needed to seek a care placement, we were naturally very anxious, however, we feel fortunate to have found an excellent home with staff that take real pride in their jobs and always put the residents first. I've also found the communication and advice to be excellent, and we'd like to thank the team and management for all they do on a daily basis.

My mum moved to Ashwood at the beginning of February. The home has made her so welcome and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Ashwood Care Centre has been looking after my mum for five months. The staff are very warm, friendly and caring, they do an amazing job. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and this is very reassuring. The home is well run and the management team is very responsive. In particular, the manager of the
home is very caring, knowledgeable and approachable. The rooms are comfortable and homely. There are currently some upgrades and redecoration works in progress which will make it even better. From my experience, I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My nan has been in Ashwood Care Centre, and I can honestly say they are all amazing! The manager is so caring and aware of her role and ensures that the family are always fully updated. The staff are kind, caring and considerate and nothing is too much. I would rate the care home extremely highly and
thank them all for everything - I have huge peace of mind that Nan is being well cared for.

My mum moved into Ashwood Care Centre earlier this year and has settled in fairly well. The staff have been very attentive, caring and supportive providing the care that she needs, physically, emotionally and dietary. Ashwood feels like a family, and all visitors have been made to feel welcome.

I cannot emphasise enough how amazing all the staff are at Ashwood Care Centre. They made mum and us as a family feel so welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Since my mother has been in Ashwood Care Centre she has never been so happy and content. She never wanted to leave her home, I think it's the best option. We can see she is well looked after and all the nurses look after her very well as we all can see. Thanks (everyone).

I am happy with the care being provided for my mum. I now have reassurance and peace of mind knowing that Mum is getting 24-hour care and has a good team of people around her. All the staff I have encountered, including the manager, have been approachable, friendly and helpful in answering any questions
I have about Mum. If needed they call me. Mum seems settled here at Ashwood and I know that I'm welcome to see her any time. Thank you.
