I'm relatively new to this care home. At the beginning I was sceptical as the CQC had recently audited Ashwood and the results were not good, however once I had met with the care home manager, she explained that she had literally just taken over 6 days prior and assured me that she was going to turn the care home around.
Since then the manager has worked relentlessly to improve the standard of care, activities and decor of the home. I attended my first meeting there last week and again it was reassuring to hear all the plans she has or is going to put in place in the very near future to turn this care home into an exceptional place for elderly relatives to stay, giving peace of mind that they are looked after well, their needs are met and they are allowed to live out the rest of their days safe and secure with excellent care.
I am looking forward to seeing these many changes and being able to participate with my cousin (94) to ensure his final days are as happy as they can be.
