It took us a long time to get our elderly friend, who had dementia, into a care home but as soon as he entered Ashwood we knew it was the right place. The staff could not have been more helpful or approachable, and every time we visited in the 18 months that he was there he was smiling and happy and well looked after. They were always welcoming and warm towards us, and he was clean and dressed smartly whenever we dropped in. It genuinely felt like a home environment, but a safe and secure one for vulnerable people. Thank you to all at Ashwood, for making his last months so comfortable and happy.

We visited our grandfather on his birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful the manager and office staff were! The HCAs/carers were equally helpful - they provided us with a butter knife to cut the cake with, took and printed photos for my grandfather's room wall - everything with a friendly smile, without making us feel as though we were an inconvenience! Mum came for a respite weekend. She was nervous about coming but was immediately put at ease. She thoroughly enjoyed her time here. We will definitely be using again as it gave me a well earned weekend with peace of mind that mum was well looked after.

All the staff we met were as above. My father only spent 2 days at Ashwood before he passed but the lovely staff made it as peaceful and dignified as possible for which we are extremely grateful.

My 2nd cousin has been here nearly 3 months and loves it. She looks so much happier, cleaner and healthier than when she lived with family and had carers 4 times a day.
