Overall Experience

As soon as I visited Sycamore Park I knew straight away that it was the care home that I wanted my wife to stay, and every day since then has left me in no doubt that it was the right decision. The home is clean and tidy, the chef does a brilliant job with the food and they provide activities both morning and afternoons everyday, but their biggest asset is their staff, they are absolutely fantastic, you can tell that by the way they treat residents, and relations more like friends. They go the extra mile for special occasions like birthdays, valentines day etc. Cannot praise them high enough, they give me peace of mind in their care for my wife.

My mum has been at Sycamore Care Home for nearly 5 years, during this time her health had gradually worsened due to her medical condition but throughout this period Sycamore Care Home managed the situation with care, compassion and ensuring mum had dignity at all times.
Mum always had a smile on her face and never stayed in her room during the day as there was constant companionship from fellow residents and carers. Lots of activities too.
During the time at Sycamore we have created many lovely memories.
I genuinely don't think mum would have lasted as long as she did, without the care package put in place which Sycamore were a key part of.
When every I mentioned Sycamore Park to external medical staff, such as SALT, Dementia Nurse etc. They always had a glowing view of the care home, which as health professionals was very satisfying to hear and simply re enforced my own view of them.

In the final weeks of mums life, not enough words of appreciate can be given, they were Fantastic.

Thank you for such a lovely review - this means a lot to me and the team here. Mum was such a huge part of our Sycamore Park family, a big character with an even bigger heart! We will never forget her, her cheeky grin or her outrageous challenges she set me and the team - it really was a true privilege to care for her.

My mum moved into Sycamore Park Oct2025.

It has been such a smooth transition and I feel she is genuinely cared for and loved by the staff who work at Sycamore. It's is a labour of love for the staff and you can tell. She is treated gently and with care. She is always well groomed, her room is clean and she is entertained and looked after to such a high level it gives me such peace of mind. They are considerate of my dad having a valentines meals arranged for them, they had a card and gift for mum to give to dad on his birthday. I'm so lucky to have found this gem of a home for mum. Thank you to you all x

The warmest of welcomes is always on offer at this remarkable care home. Prior to arrival Dad had gone through a difficult time. So it was of paramount importance that he felt loved, valued and cared for. Sycamore Park staff were understanding, discerning and supportive especially throughout those early days settling in. He is happy and safe in his new environment with his new friends.

As a family member you want the very best for those you love the most. Sycamore Park has a team dedicated to being the very best.

I can only thank the team at Sycamore Park for the excellent care given to my late father David. David had been living with Altzimers in the final years of his life. They provided amazing care and made the final period of his life so much better for him. I would like to give a very special thank you to Corel, Lisa, Katie, Sarah, Alex and the rest of the team in the Buckingham Suite for exemplifying the very best care which can be offered. There was a good atmosphere from the moment we walked in the building, this gave the family the confidence for David to stay, it started with a two week period at the beginning and David soon settled in. He would always look forward to his meals. David's friends and family were always made to feel welcome. We were often offered a cup of tea while we were there which was always welcome.
Sycamore Park Care Home is a credit to Corel, Lisa and all the team. Once again thank you guys, it's the people who make the difference not a building.

Kindest Mike

My mother spent her final months at Sycamore Park Care Home and was very well looked after. My father checked himself in there aged about 96 because he knew too would be well looked after. The staff make it seem like home for the residents. It's always clean, comfortable and caring and there is none of the stress you could sense in other institutions. I highly recommend this place.

I found Sycamore Park Care Home for my 95-year-old friend, who could no longer live independently. During our first visit, the nurse on duty patiently answered all his questions. I was glad he chose to stay, as the team was caring and attentive, even providing his favourite drink. Though he mostly stayed in his room, he eventually made friends and enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden on sunny days and thoroughly enjoyed their outings (boat trip, wheelchair ride to a local supermarket or any other trip).
The staff always greeted me warmly and offered refreshments during my visits. After a stroke in August, my friend spent a month in the hospital but chose to return to Sycamore for his final days. The end-of-life care was exceptional, treating him with dignity and providing emotional support to those of us by his side.

I highly recommend Sycamore Park. If I could afford it, I wouldn't hesitate to spend my final years there.

I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful and loving care they have given my mum. My mum suffers from Alzheimer's, and we, as a family, were struggling to care for her at home. The staff and manager are kind and caring and put my mind at ease from the get-go. Thank you again.

I have been absolutely delighted with the service provided. My very dear friend has been a resident at Sycamore Park for over a year now. The team, and I mean team, have been incredible! From the welcome on day one to the everyday care - it is second to none! They all go above and beyond every day, treating all residents as individuals, treating them with dignity and respect, and creating a living friendly environment where they can all be themselves - every one of the team. from the management to the carers, the admin team, the housekeeping, chefs and the team who organise the activities and anyone I haven’t mentioned ensures all residents have a wonderful experience every day! Sycamore delivers on its promise day-in-day-out and deserves to be recognised for the wonderful world it creates for every resident in their care. I would recommend this home from home to anyone - it is the perfect place!

I currently live at Sycamore Park and have been here for a while now. I do miss being at home, but I know that I wouldn't manage. I never wanted to come into care, but I am glad that I chose this home, and there are a lot of delightful ladies and staff here. Sometimes it can be noisier than at home, but my bedroom is very peaceful. I like the garden.

My Mum has recently spent a few weeks respite at Sycamore Park. She suffers with dementia so was quite confused and disorientated when she initially moved in but the staff were all fantastic with her and they made her feel so welcome. Whenever we visited they also extended this warm welcome to us too. Mum was cared for very very well whilst at Sycamore Park and I would totally recommend this care home. They make you feel like one of the family. A huge thank you to all the staff.

My father has only been a resident at Sycamore Park since the start of June 2023, but during this time, the care and consideration for his safety and well-being have been exemplary. All staff have a true vocation for the care they provide, and this has been recognised by the CQC in their judgement of 'outstanding' Care at Sycamore Park. Completely justified, in my view. The environment gives the impression of a smart hotel rather than that of a residential care home, providing very comfortable and attractive facilities for all residents to enjoy. Sycamore Park is extremely well-led; setting the standard for this lovely and very welcoming home. The manager and her deputy evidently work hard to maintain those standards in providing the very best for their residents.

My mum and dad have been in Sycamore Park since 2021 - 18 months - two and a half years respectively. They have sadly both passed away and were both treated with respect and dignity. The care they received was excellent. The staff were amazing - very caring. The only suggestions I would make is to improve the selection of food and maybe offer a menu and get things that residents particularly like. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and the team.

We will recommend Sycamore Park. Thank you.

My relative was a resident at Sycamore Park Care Home from 2.10.2020 till he died, aged 90 last month. From my initial phone call with a lady to discuss the possibility of him becoming a resident, I could sense from her helpful, positive attitude that the staff genuinely cared about the welfare and safety of their residents - thus making the decision to choose Sycamore Park very easy to make. He was happy and contented throughout his stay - right from the lovely welcome extended to him on day one. We are eternally grateful to the manager and the entire team.
