The home features all en-suite bedroom suites, including many specifically designed for those with dementia. There is also a cinema, a beauty salon, a café and a bar.

My mother spent her final months at Sycamore Park Care Home and was very well looked after. My father checked himself in there aged about 96 because he knew too would be well looked after. The staff make it seem like home for the residents. It's always clean, comfortable and caring and there is none
of the stress you could sense in other institutions. I highly recommend this place.

I found Sycamore Park Care Home for my 95-year-old friend, who could no longer live independently. During our first visit, the nurse on duty patiently answered all his questions. I was glad he chose to stay, as the team was caring and attentive, even providing his favourite drink. Though he mostly stayed
in his room, he eventually made friends and enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden on sunny days and thoroughly enjoyed their outings (boat trip, wheelchair ride to a local supermarket or any other trip).
The staff always greeted me warmly and offered refreshments during my visits. After a stroke in August, my friend spent a month in the hospital but chose to return to Sycamore for his final days. The end-of-life care was exceptional, treating him with dignity and providing emotional support to those of us by his side.
I highly recommend Sycamore Park. If I could afford it, I wouldn't hesitate to spend my final years there.

My friend lives here; she seems very happy and seems to have a good friendship group within the home. It is always clean and tidy and never smells. The decor gives a hotel vibe, and the homes seem well-maintained. I can’t fault it.

Absolutely outstanding. I visited a friend and was made to feel welcome from the moment I made the call to arrange a social visit. I have been absolutely delighted with the service provided. My very dear friend has been a resident at Sycamore Park for over a year now. The team, and I mean team, have been incredible! From the welcome on day one to the everyday care - it is second to none! They all go above and beyond every day,
treating all residents as individuals, treating them with dignity and respect, and creating a living friendly environment where they can all be themselves - every one of the team. from the management to the carers, the admin team, the housekeeping, chefs and the team who organise the activities and anyone I haven’t mentioned ensures all residents have a wonderful experience every day! Sycamore delivers on its promise day-in-day-out and deserves to be recognised for the wonderful world it creates for every resident in their care. I would recommend this home from home to anyone - it is the perfect place!

I have attended Sycamore Park twice over the last few months, volunteering with the residents and offering hand massages. The staff at this home are so helpful, and nothing is too much trouble - makes me feel part of the team.
One lady is an absolute credit; she is such a ray of sunshine!

I currently live at Sycamore Park and have been here for a while now. I do miss being at home, but I know that I wouldn't manage. I never wanted to come into care, but I am glad that I chose this home, and there are a lot of delightful ladies and staff here. Sometimes it can be noisier than at home,
but my bedroom is very peaceful. I like the garden.

My dad has only been with you a few months, but from the short time I've been here when visiting, the staff seem very attentive and kind, and I feel Dad is treated with the utmost dignity. My Mum has recently spent a few weeks respite at Sycamore Park. She suffers with dementia so was quite confused and disorientated when she initially moved in but the staff were all fantastic with her and they made her feel so welcome. Whenever we visited they also extended this warm welcome to us too.
Mum was cared for very very well whilst at Sycamore Park and I would totally recommend this care home. They make you feel like one of the family. A huge thank you to all the staff.

My father has only been a resident at Sycamore Park since the start of June 2023, but during this time, the care and consideration for his safety and well-being have been exemplary. All staff have a true vocation for the care they provide, and this has been recognised by the CQC in their judgement of
'outstanding' Care at Sycamore Park. Completely justified, in my view. The environment gives the impression of a smart hotel rather than that of a residential care home, providing very comfortable and attractive facilities for all residents to enjoy. Sycamore Park is extremely well-led; setting the standard for this lovely and very welcoming home. The manager and her deputy evidently work hard to maintain those standards in providing the very best for their residents.

My mum and dad have been in Sycamore Park since 2021 - 18 months - two and a half years respectively. They have sadly both passed away and were both treated with respect and dignity. The care they received was excellent. The staff were amazing - very caring. The only suggestions I would make is to improve
the selection of food and maybe offer a menu and get things that residents particularly like. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and the team.
We will recommend Sycamore Park. Thank you.

My relative was a resident at Sycamore Park Care Home from 2.10.2020 till he died, aged 90 last month. From my initial phone call with a lady to discuss the possibility of him becoming a resident, I could sense from her helpful, positive attitude that the staff genuinely cared about the welfare and
safety of their residents - thus making the decision to choose Sycamore Park very easy to make. He was happy and contented throughout his stay - right from the lovely welcome extended to him on day one. We are eternally grateful to the manager and the entire team.

My dad has been at Sycamore Park for nearly a year now. They do a really good job of looking after him. The food is great, and they have occasional trips out. They pay attention to what my dad is interested in, for example, they knew he likes a bus trip, so arranged for him to ride on the service bus
with a carer around the town. They made a big effort for the Coronation, trimming up the lounge. It looked super. If you want to see what they get up to on a day-to-day basis - fun get-togethers and activities - you should have a look at their Facebook page, where lots of nice photos are posted regularly.

We cannot recommend Sycamore Park highly enough. My dad was included immediately and settled in very quickly. He was introduced to others and made friends both with staff and other residents. As his mobility decreased, the level of care increased, and he felt safe at all times. He was very well fed,
and the social and medical care was excellent. Daily activities and events made sure he was stimulated, and there was always someone to chat with. His room was very nicely decorated, and by taking his own chair, paintings and ornaments, it quickly become home. Services such as hairdressers, chiropodists, laundry and opticians were readily available whenever required. The managers were hands-on, very professional, easily approachable and dealt with any queries immediately.

The care provided was excellent, allowing for as much or a little family involvement. It is very much made to feel as though it is their home, and respect offered accordingly. All the staff were very caring and personable. My father was on the dementia floor, and the care he received was second to none.
Great communication between the home and close family members. Would highly recommend.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the care received by my late mother.
The staff are loving, friendly and caring.
The home is immaculately clean, the food is of a high standard, and the knowledge and experience of senior and care staff are good.
There is a real comfortable family feel within the
home, with families and friends made extremely welcome when visiting residents.

I felt such guilt when I took my mum into Sycamore Park, but it has been my lifesaver in many ways with my mum's dementia and failing health. They said she would settle, and she quickly did.
The care and personal support they have given my mum have been exceptional. They have been her second family,
especially through Covid. The quality of care, the cleanliness, the food and the surroundings are as good as the best hotels. In the 10-months, Mum was there, I never had any issues.
The cost is higher than some homes, but you definitely get what you pay for, and Mum was extremely happy there until her end of life.

Coral Abrahams

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

From early childhood, Coral developed the desire to aid the elderly after spending her weekends helping at the day centre her Nan supervised.


After graduating from Huddersfield University in 2014 with a Biomedical Science (Hons) degree and achieving a Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management, Coral went on to manage nursing, residential and memory care services prior to joining us here at Sycamore Park.


Coral has a sincere passion for improving the quality of life for those residents in her care and enjoys focusing on the well-being initiatives within the home.


As well as managing Sycamore Park Care Home, she is also a mother to her beautiful one-year-old daughter.

Lisa

Lisa McArdle

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2019

Lisa is passionate about caring for the older generation and uses her own skills to ensure the best possible experience for our residents, as well as our staff.


She draws on her own personal experiences to understand the emotions families can go through, and this enables her to build solid relationships with both our residents and their family members.


Lisa loves each and every one of our residents and says it’s an absolute honour to spend her working day supporting them in their homes.

Stuart Lamont

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2018

Stuart has worked as a Head Chef in residential/hospital care for almost 20 years.


He organises all aspects of our kitchen, including food purchasing, menus and managing the assistant kitchen staff.


He enjoys creating nutritious meals suitable for all our residents here at Sycamore Park and will not shy from creating meals that are specific to our residents’ cultural needs and personal tastes.


As well as being a full-time Chef, Stuart has 3 wonderful children.

Sharon Beatty

Job Title: Head Housekeeper Joined: 2021

Previous to working at Sycamore Park, Sharon worked in a tea and coffee shop for 34 years. She enjoyed the daily interaction with the customers and meeting new people.


After 34 years, Sharon desired change and started a new career here at Sycamore Park where she became exceedingly close to all of our staff and residents. She often expresses that the residents and staff are like family.


Sharon relishes new challenges and no task is too small.

With over 30 years in the building and landscaping industry, Shane brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Shane's partner is the clinical lead in one of our sister homes and soon Shane realised that he also had the same passion for helping those who most need it.
