Review of Elton Hall from Emma S (Niece of Resident) published on 14 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My uncle suffered a stroke in June 2026, subsequently he now requires 24 hour care. It is never easy having to make such a decision on someone else's behalf. As he has maintained his mobility, we as a family wanted a home where he retained his independence whilst receiving the best care possible.
Elton Hall is perfect for him. A gorgeous building in lovely surroundings. The manager John and deputy manager Phil are diamonds! They welcomed my uncle with warmth, compassion and respect. He sees them as friends. All the staff are wonderful and attentive, nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them. Such wonderful people!

As a family, you want your loved one to be safe, happy and well looked after, especially following a huge life change. This is definitely the case at Elton Hall. My uncle is not just a resident, he is part of their family too.

Reply from John Drury, Registered Manager at Elton Hall

The staff are very friendly, helpful and caring with time for everyone. The food is up to a really high standard too. The communal areas are kept very clean, neat and tidy and are very light and airy with lovely outside grounds.

My Aunty originally went into home for rest-bite. And now she has wished to be a permnant resident within the home.

Everyday is different she says with activities ongoing and all staff members are caring and friendly and nothing is ever not possible they treat you with respect and compassion like your own family members.

Review of Henwick Grange Nursing Home from Debbie S (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum has been a resident in Henwick Grange for three months and my Dad and I visit regularly. During this time she has been treated with kindness and compassion and our overall experience has been good.
The management team are always available if we wish to speak to them and will listen to any concerns we may have. We always receive a cheery welcome when we arrive and all staff are helpful and friendly.

Thank you team, carry on the good work.

Review of Ashwood Care Centre from Ann L (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum sadly passed away in June, having been at Ashwood for 4 years. Mum was so well cared for during these 4 years and we cannot thank Roxana, the Manager, and every single member of staff for the care and kindness they showed to mum, and to us as a family during this time. It was obvious from the day mum went to Ashwood that nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff, who were always so friendly, and they genuinely care about all of the residents. The standard of the meals was very good and the home is absolutely spotless. Mum used to love joining in with the wide range of activities (which were held each week day) and functions and she loved chatting with the other residents. Mum always looked so well and quite often when I went to see her, she'd had her hair done or her nails painted. When mum became ill, everyone went over and above to support us all at a very difficult time and we cannot thank everyone at Ashwood enough for all that they have done for us.

Review of Grosvenor Park Care Home from Y C (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Really impressed with the level of care from all of the staff who are so efficient and friendly. Mum has settled really well.
The location right by the sea is perfect making it ideal to go for seaside walks. The room is just right and the handyman has hung pictures that mum brought to make it nice and homely.
The food provided is lovely and there is varied entertainment.

We are happy that we have found a clean and safe home for mum.

Review of Allan Court from V B (Sister of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care my brother has received in the care home. The response from every member of staff is outstanding. No matter what the problem it is dealt with immediately with care, respect, patience and compassion.

The home is immaculately clean & very welcoming. A good variety of food & drink are provided, and the staff encourage all residents to eat properly. A lot of activities are provided, and participation is encouraged to help residents' overall well being.

Review of Allan Court from Ruth D (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

my mum went into Allan Court in January this year, she has mild dementia and suffered with falls. We are blessed to have found this wonderful care home. It is beyond exceptional with wonderful caring staff, very clean. Everyone so friendly, kind and nothing is a bother for her or us as relatives - we could not be happier with her care here. It lessens so much pressure on us. Thank you to everyone.

Review of Henwick Grange Nursing Home from J T (Friend of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our friend and ex-neighbour has been a resident at Henwick Grange for over a year now. Social Services had concerns over her previous care home and although she seemed content there, there were some safeguarding issues. Henwick Grange has looked after her much better and, although she will not recover from her condition and has difficulty communicating, she is happy, eats well and remembers some people from her past. The staff at Henwick Grange are friendly, attentive and professional. We have no concerns about our friend's care.

Review of Elton Hall from Andrew T (Son of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My farther had to go into care as he could no longer manage at home. We viewed three homes in the area and were really impressed with Elton Hall. Its a very emotional thing trying to find the right place for a family member's next chapter but with the help of the manager John and assistant Phil we knew we had found the right place ! Dad loves the place and settled in straight away. The care he is receiving is second to none and any queries are always answered with speed and courtesy! Thank you!
