Southwell Court

from Claire R (Daughter of Resident) published on 24 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

What makes Southwell Court is the staff. Mum has been in the home 6 weeks now and has settled better than we could have imagined. This is entirely down to the time staff take to listen to residents and family in order to get the best for the residents. Mum says that everyone is kind and l have felt
supported and reassured when trying to get the best for Mum whilst living abroad. Staff team - you really are doing a great job and making a positive difference to lots of people's lives. Thank you.

Reply from Tarnya Fairburn, Home Manager at Southwell Court

Lumley Court

from L P (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

To all the Lumley Court care staff and nurse, thank you for looking after my mum while she was with you. She had many happy moments with you enjoying the company of other residents, sociable meal times and the activities. Thank you for all the times the staff allowed me to talk to my mum down the phone
even at the very end. All these memories are treasured memories for me her daughter and the extended family. Also thank you for being so welcoming to us when we visited as a family on the several occasions we came with my husband and my family and our dog we are grateful for the perfect level of communication we have received while she was in Lumley court. The family will appreciate your dedication to your duties for the rest of our lives.

Ashwood Care Centre

from Caroline C (Niece of Resident) published on 23 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My aunt moved into Ashwood in June 2024 and I have been delighted with the care she has received. The staff are kind and thoughtful, all they knew about her was that she liked cats and they printed her door name with a cat on it. My aunt's health has improved since being at Ashwood due to the care she
receives. I live a long way from Hayes and the staff keep me informed about her and make me feel very welcome when I visit.

I cannot commend enough the care of the staff on the dementia unit enough in the care of my sister, at every turn their compassion shines through when even things get fraught and sometimes frustrating for the residents of the home they show calm and a sense of care that astounds me, they truly are a
credit to the care home as well as Stockton borough council.

Donwell House Nursing Home

from M A (Son of Resident) published on 18 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Having a parent moved to a care home is not a decision that is easy to make. Having no real alternative I am relieved and delighted that we chose Donwell House. The staff could not be nicer this is endorsed by my mum too. I finally realise how much of a strain it was on my closest family members, I trying
to keep mum in her own home. She is so much safer than when carers visited 4 times a day. So pleased we chose Donwell House.

Willow Park

from F N (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has been in Willow Park for just over 2 years. She was initially reluctant to move in, but the staff were so welcoming that she is now very happy and content. There are so many activities for the residents, including flower arranging, art, dancing & singing. The care has been wonderful, and every
time I visit, the home is well staffed. The atmosphere is always one of fun and happiness. I would highly recommend.

As he is bedridden his social life effectively revolves around his carer but they are really great and he gets all he needs in the way of social contact, conversation, amusement and yes possible gossip. I would also like to mention the helpfulness and kind assistance of reception and the continued detailed
info and updates I get from the nursing staff.
Keep up the good work!

The Hawthorns Care Home

from T V (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Finding the right home for your mother can be very daunting as you want the very best for your loved one. All I can say we as a family have made the right decision. The manager and the staff from day one have been wonderful helping her settle into her new home and addressing mum's needs. Mum has advanced
dementia but the staff continue to involve her in her care, activities and choices. We as a family are always made to feel welcome and able to discuss any concerns. The Hawthorns is a friendly, caring and a very clean environment. There is a fantastic entertainment team encouraging residents to participate in activities, listening to live music and organising tea and coffee mornings. There is always staff present to support residents and from observation the food always looks good and different choices available. I cannot say how pleased we are to have found the Hawthorns.

Reply from Mawuli, Home Manager at The Hawthorns Care Home

Thank you for your kind words. I will be sure to share your lovely feedback with the whole team - it truly means a lot to all of us. Mawuli

My husband was as resident on Meole ward for a short time with dementia, the care given by the Nurses and carers was excellent. During the later stages they provide us with food and coffee.
The family cannot thank them enough for what they did for us.

Donwell House Nursing Home

from G A (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum in law has been at Donwell House since December 2024 when she was no longer safe to return home after a hospital stay. She has settled in well, loves the food, the staff and company. She is doing as well as can be expected - at 91 years young. Yesterday she took a "funny turn" in the bathroom
when a family member was present. Previously (at home) this would have resulted to me how professional competent caring the staff were. No less than five staff reacted to the emergency buzzer. Money could not buy better peace of mind. Our relative is happy and safe. We are really reassured that she is in the best place.

Bromford Lane Care Centre

from Ariya D (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Thank you to all the Dementia staff Nurses and care staff at Bromford Lane Care Centre for the care provided to my Dad.
Dad stayed in an EAB (enhanced assessment beds) capacity on his journey towards a permanent placement elsewhere nearer his family.
Because of the EAB capacity, Mum had access to
NHS physios approximately three times a week who were fantastic with dad and aided in him rehab from receiving all care in bed to being able to sit out and engage again. I can't thank them enough for that.
Thank you to the EAB manager and the EAB Deputy who went above and beyond, they were always available to help. EAB Deputy Manager would greet with a smile she would give Dad a hug and sit chat to him. It has been a difficult time for Dad and seeing your genuine enthusiasm about each step in his improvement won't be forgotten - thank you.
Thank you to another member of staff (Family Liaison), in particular, for helping us when things weren't running smoothly and for your kindness.

Review of

Beech Court Care Centre

from Richard O (Son of Resident) published on 11 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father was in the care of The Beech Court nursing team for the last 18 months of his life until January 2025.
The dedication, kindness & commitment of the nursing team and the level of care he received from everyone was outstanding and we were delighted with the care he received 24 hours a day (
I stayed into the night at times when Dad was very frail ).
The Management and Senior Nurses set a great example of genuinely caring about the patient and we were always aware that his wellbeing and treatment/medication was very important.
When he was in hospital in September 2024 , the A&E and Frailty Nurses asked which nursing home he has been in - as his skin, Cleanliness and general condition was so good !
In the eulogy for my Dads life we thanked The Manager, nurses and carers at Beech Court, who all gave Dad great care and thoughtful friendship.
Care for the elderly is a 24 hour commitment and Dad was blessed to be in the right place to receive the level of care he deserved.
