Hillside Nursing Home

The staff always displayed great care and consideration for my sister. They provided good support during end of life care.

These life-threatening emergencies were entirely preventable. It is deeply distressing that a registered care provider is failing to enforce a basic, critical medical boundary. Management must urgently implement and enforce a strict fragrance-free policy for all staff before a tragic, fatal incident occurs.

We will always be grateful to everyone at Hillside for everything they did. I cannot rate them highly enough and would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family needing compassionate end-of-life care.

Amazing Nursing home, feels like home away from home. All staff are friendly and welcoming and the Manager is always available for residents and visitors. The care provided is of a very high standard and staff are very attentive to the needs of residents. The rooms and communal areas are bright and homely. The food is homemade and the chef makes lovely cakes. There are always activities to join in. I highly recommend this Nursing home.

I would recommend Hillside. Go and see it and, above all, meet some of the people.

I have been well looked after at Hillside over the last 10 years. I now sleep a lot, but I am well cared for according to my needs.

Being dubious about care homes. Hillside totally eroded any negative thoughts for care for an end of life service. You could not ask for a better set up and the dignity and respect to us all involved was exceptional. We will be ever thankful for Hillsides staff in making our family members last few weeks of life, comforting and soothing.

When I first visited Hillside Nursing home I didn't know what to expect but, to my great satisfaction I witnessed respect, great personal care, the staff interaction with the Service users is brilliant.

The management provide weekly pastoral care, Christmas party activities which includes raffles and karaoke. The lounge areas for family and friends to engage with their loved ones are well furnished and clean.

My observation of the medical care provided is also very impressive. The staffing levels are very adequate and consistent, I see the same staff week in week out which can only be good for the residents, another satisfying and reassurance has been the fire drills I have witnessed.

I find the management and staff very engaging and welcoming, always offering you a cup of tea or coffee with a welcoming smile and hello, keep up the great work and care provided.

Bilgy, the manager, is amazing and went out of her way to accommodate us.

My father has started to enjoy activities that he would never have been involved in before..I would Definitely recommend this to people as a lovely care home .A Big Thankyou to all staff..

I would like to extend my gratitude to Bildy and the team at Hillside who looked after my father in the last few days of his life last week. After a swift move out of Stoke Mandeville hospital we didn;t really know what to expect at short notice, but every single person we met there treated my father with respect, professionalism and love. No request or question from us was too big or small, and it made the last few days of his life as comfortable and warm as you could wish for. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Bless ya. I cannot recommend this care home enough. From showing us the rooms available to the very last day when my father sadly passed away they cared for us all not just my father. They made him comfortable and his stay there certainly improved his last weeks of life. I had forgotten how kind people can be and the staff here are commendable. In particular Andrea showed so much compassion and kindness and helped us through the whole process from start to finish. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I have been made so welcome by all the staff, they are kind, considerate and can't do enough for me. The food is wonderful. I already think of Hillside as home. I feel very safe, secure and happy to be here, it is a privilege. Being so close to town is also great, and I have all the freedom and independence I need or could ever want. I would recommend this nursing home to anybody.

To have the patience and to work in places like this is more than difficult. The staff and managers were always available to speak to . The manager could not be more helpful. All the staff deserve mentions. Well done Hillside .
