my wife is currently in the complex care side of richden park due to rapid onset dementia with challenging behaviour, even with her behaviour the staff are always respectful and care for her needs as much as she will allow at the time.when visiting which is most days we are always made to feel welcome and keep us well informed of any issues
i have observed there is always plenty of food and drink on offer and residents are encourage to eat and drink regularly.

initially a few clothes went missing ,down to poor planning on my part as they were not marked well enough since this has been rectified no futher issues

Overall Experience

Luke was incredibly helpful getting my grandad a room here at short notice due to being let down by the care home he was put in by the local authority.

Within 24 hours of enquiring, my grandad was given a lovely clean room and all our worries were immediately put to bed.

I am always updated by the staff if grandad has an appointment, needs anything or even just to let me know he is doing well.

Richden always appears clean and every staff member I have encountered has been friendly and helpful, and like in lots of other homes, they don't appear stressed and over-worked.

The home has a lovely vibe and I am 100% reassured that grandad is safe.

I have visited many care homes and Richden is a very special place. I wouldn't (and dont) hesitate to recommend Richden Park.

Luke and his team do an incredible job and Bond care should be proud to have them!

My mum was put on end of life on 10th March and the staff at Richden park can not do enough for my mum, they make sure she is safe comfortable and clean. They are respectful and polite to us as well as mum. Nothing is too much trouble for them, the whole team on the complex unit are amazing. We can't as for better care for mum in her final journey. Thank you to them all.. xx

Be careful letting them take your clothes for washing as they have taken clothes from me and I have got nothing back they have lost my clothes despite asking numerous carers they can't locate them looks like they have been given to other residents

Dad was in Richden Park for 10 months before he peacefully passed away in January this year, a lot of the staff on duty that day were also visibly upset by this & comforted us throughout the day & made sure we ate & made us copious cups of tea.
All the staff were always amazing with him, nothing was too much trouble & mum was well looked after when she visited & was always offered meals.
Every member of staff is friendly & approachable & would always have a chat when we visited to update us with what he'd eaten, when he had a bath/shower, how he'd been, etc.
They became like an extended family to us & dad was very happy there.

I can't praise Richden Park enough, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a residential home for their loved one.

My Dad spent the last 10
months of his life in Richden Park and I spent a lot of time there visiting him.
The staff were all lovely and very caring. They even lined up outside to watch his hearse going past en route to the crematorium. The food was always very good and cooked onsite so my Dad who was a picky eater could choose meals that weren't officially on the menu.
One of the members of staff also did a brilliant job keeping all the residents entertained- the highlight being the visit by the petting zoo.

Would definitely recommend

My Mother was in Richden Park for approximately 2 months for recovery after an illness. The staff and management team are simply excellent, any problem is soon resolved. Mother enjoyed the friendly staff and the excellent food, her dietary needs were well catered for. Any medical issue was quickly attended to. I would recommend Richden without hesitation.

Dad lived in Richden Park for 12 months. He could no longer live in his house as his health deteriorated. He was well fed, clean, and encouraged to exercise. They spotted when he was getting ill and called either a nurse or ambulance when required. The most important aspect of the home is the kindness and caring nature of the staff. It may not be clear on a short visit but is the most important quality a home needs. Dad passed away in the home and I am so grateful that his last year was comfortable and free from stress.

My mother began her stay in the care home for respite care. During this period, it was decided that she should stay permanently due to her deteriorating health. Very happy with the care provided up to her passing away. All staff members, from management down, were very caring, helpful and friendly.

This is a fantastic care home with caring, conscientious staff, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who even made sure family members had everything they needed whilst visiting. The home is clean, tidy and well cared for with good availability of equipment for residents. The staff who cared for Mum were lovely, and Mum was always treated with respect and dignity and her choices were always a priority, she was never rushed or persuaded to do anything she didn't want to. Family members were always kept well informed of any changes, requirements or needs and everything was dealt with swiftly when required. This meant we were able to spend precious time together as a family during the most difficult of times. We cannot emphasise enough how caring the staff were and how much of a positive impact they made for both our Mum and our family. We will always be grateful.

Dad was sent to Richden Park after a stay in hospital after a fall.
He was sent for respite care while being assessed by the physio team.
I really can not say how good all the staff have been here, they are all so lovely, friendly and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
Dad has enjoyed all home comforts, and then some, including a jacuzzi-type bath, he loved this!
The food has been outstanding, varied, and all very tasty, he has really enjoyed this too. The staff have all contributed to trying to get Dad back on his feet, so we are truly grateful to them all for this.

There have been regular people, checking on him and asking him and us how everything is going. Amazing team here, keep up the good work guys, it really does make a big difference to us all.

Very good standard residential care home. My mother spent the last year of her life at Richden Park. The staff were lovely and worked very hard to make her life more bearable despite having advanced dementia. The food was very good and relatives always accommodated if wanting to dine with residents. Rooms always well-cleaned and maintained. The activities co-ordinator tried to include all residents in her programme of events. Just one small niggle at the beginning of being dressed in other residents' clothing, despite mum's clothes being labelled, but speaking to friends seems to be quite a common fault in lots of residential homes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richden Park, a happy place.

My mum has been in here for care and she is being very well looked after by all. They are helping her build her confidence up and get her back to being self-sufficient in maneuvering around when gets back home.

We were all very nervous about my friend going into a care home, but once she was at Richden Park she quickly settled and decided that Richden was to be her forever home. The staff always go above and beyond what she needs, this includes making sure that she does not run out of any of her toiletries and essentials or treats that she may want. This is a comfort to us as we are not always able to visit as often as we would like. If we have any problems the management team are always free to deal with any help that we may need. I would certainly recommend the home, thank you to all the staff.

The first thing that I would like to say about Richden Park is that the management team was outstanding. When I needed to speak to the manager I was seen straight away and very happy and satisfied that the safeguarding of my mother was top priority as was with all the residents that were in the care home. All the staff were very friendly and supportive and very experienced in their jobs. I would definitely recommend Richden Park care home to everyone I know.

I find that the management and carers could not give anymore. They are very caring, respectful and informative.
I am so pleased Mum came to Richden Park and what extra Mum wants is often too much to ask. I feel at ease and at home when I visit and feel like part of the 'family'.
Thank you.

Outside car park could be improved for walking but for visitors.
