My mum has been in Willow Park for just over 2 years. She was initially reluctant to move in, but the staff were so welcoming that she is now very happy and content. There are so many activities for the residents, including flower arranging, art, dancing & singing. The care has been wonderful, and every
time I visit, the home is well staffed. The atmosphere is always one of fun and happiness. I would highly recommend.

My dad has recently moved in here from another care home. I can't believe the difference in him in just a few weeks. He is really happy and settled. The staff and managers are all wonderful and all very caring and all go the extra mile. He has been through a pretty rough time for the last few months
but has finally started to get some of his old spark back.
Thank you to Willow Park for making this happen.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

Although my mum was only unexpectedly a resident for 8 days, I cannot thank all the staff enough. You made my mum's last days as good as they could ever have been - my only regret is that her time with you was not longer. I wish she was still with us all. She would have loved the care and friendship
that she experienced, even though it was only for a short time, everyone was so caring and supportive to us all. I cannot recommend Willow Park, the staff and the management enough, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Mum has been a resident for over two years and has received support and good care throughout. I really appreciate the understanding of the staff of Mum's dementia, as no two days are the same, and there are many lows which are dealt with sympathetically. The entire staff are very helpful and caring,
and I feel that Mum is in safe and loving hands.

The staff are excellent but the home always seems to be short-staffed. The quality of the food is variable and needs to improve quickly as does the temperature at which it is served. It is sometimes cold and inedible.

My mum has been a resident at Willow Park for four years, seeing many changes over time. She is very happy and settled and loves her surroundings. She shares many laughs and jokes with the staff she has come to love as her own family. Everyone here is so approachable. She is surrounded by a team of
very understanding, dedicated and hard-working staff, who support her care needs in her daily life. They pull together as a team to give care, love and dignity in their last important years. Thank you to the brilliant team here, from carers, cleaning, kitchen, laundry, entertainment and management.

All the staff were very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Manager changed my bed for a divan which was better for me. Cup of tea whenever you asked for one at 6am and hot milk. At 9pm get me medication, liquid paracetamol for pain.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management and staff at Willow Park for the ongoing care of my grandma on her respite visit. I can only imagine how hard it must be to look after the residents in your care, but you also do this in such a kind, caring and understanding manner and have
always shown my grandma genuine love and respect and above all treated her with great dignity. I wish I could mention a particular member of staff as she goes above and beyond and is an asset to the team. The staff member is very compassionate and very attentive and always makes time for every resident. Thank you for all your hard work and care as this can't be an easy job.

Recently my parents and aunt took up residence in Willow Park. Sadly it was not to be a longer stay as their deteriorating health conditions finally caused their passing all within a week of each other. Words cannot do justice to the care, love and attention that all the staff at Willow Park lavished
on them. I know they all became great favourites, especially as the bond between them all was so obvious to see. I cannot thank all the staff for the support they showed to my family and me but I hope they know it was very much appreciated.

I can’t thank the manager and all staff enough for their care and dedication, during my husband’s respite at Willow Park.
I found everyone pleasant and supportive, both to my husband and myself on this difficult journey.
The home is well organised and spacious, and ideally suited for residents with
dementia giving them space to roam.

My mother continues to be treated with respect and dignity at Willow Park. She is always clean and well-presented in clothes that she would choose to wear. Staff are caring and friendly and all of them call her by name. often stopping to give any reassurance she needs. The dining tables are set with
cups and saucers, just as my mother likes it! I am confident she is well cared for and happy at Willow Park.

I feel that the residents are taken care of and that families are well informed on their well-being by the management. I do feel that the meals are poor and 12 pm is too early for the main meal of the day. Overall, I am quite happy with Willow Park.

My mum was accepted into Willow Park by an incredible lady after all other homes turned her away as she had been a resident in Spain for so long. Incredible care home and staff for my mum who has vascular dementia. Mum is so happy there and at peace at 88-years-old. One downside for the family is all
the euros that were in her purse on arrival, together with the pounds which my brother put in her purse after the euros, have gone - not good. All in all, a wonderful place and I leave today knowing that Mum is happy.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.214)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.214) out of 10 for Willow Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.611 for Willow Park is calculated as follows: ( (100 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (11 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 131 Ratings = 4.611
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.603 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willow Park is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.8 = 0.703
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
