I can’t thank the manager and all staff enough for their care and dedication, during my husband’s respite at Willow Park.
I found everyone pleasant and supportive, both to my husband and myself on this difficult journey.

The home is well organised and spacious, and ideally suited for residents with dementia giving them space to roam.

My Uncle is more than happy at Willow Park, as am I. The atmosphere when you walk into the home speaks volumes. The staff are approachable and will do anything to help. The management team are always at hand and know my Uncle and the other residents so well. I really enjoy visiting the home and being part of the family at Willow Park.

My mother continues to be treated with respect and dignity at Willow Park. She is always clean and well-presented in clothes that she would choose to wear. Staff are caring and friendly and all of them call her by name. often stopping to give any reassurance she needs. The dining tables are set with cups and saucers, just as my mother likes it! I am confident she is well cared for and happy at Willow Park.

I feel that the residents are taken care of and that families are well informed on their well-being by the management. I do feel that the meals are poor and 12 pm is too early for the main meal of the day. Overall, I am quite happy with Willow Park.

Reply from Victoria Darlow, Home Manager at Willow Park

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. We had reviewed meal times with residents and these are changing as the residents requested, we have tried new suppliers for products and had feedback from residents and relatives and have new revised menus that will be commencing in the coming weeks, please do come and join us for lunch with your husband and let us know what you think.

My mum was accepted into Willow Park by an incredible lady after all other homes turned her away as she had been a resident in Spain for so long. Incredible care home and staff for my mum who has vascular dementia. Mum is so happy there and at peace at 88-years-old. One downside for the family is all the euros that were in her purse on arrival, together with the pounds which my brother put in her purse after the euros, have gone - not good. All in all, a wonderful place and I leave today knowing that Mum is happy.

My dad was only in Willow Park for four weeks, but the care he received was second to none. From the very start, myself and my family were included in his individual needs and personal tastes. But the thing that stood out the most was how they genuinely cared for him. From singing to him to encourage him to eat or just holding his hand in comfort. Even when the end came, all the staff showed kindness, compassion and love to us all. I cannot thank or recommend Willow Park enough.

My husband has only been at Willow Park for four weeks but it feels as if it is much longer he has settled in so quickly. The staff are wonderful, treating my husband with care and consideration whilst maintaining the banter and humour that he enjoys so much. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

My mother received excellent care, given with kindness and love throughout her three-year stay at Willow Park. Even during the covid lockdown period, everything possible was done to give families opportunities to see and visit loved ones.

My friend has been here for two years. We couldn't believe how beautiful it was when we first visited. From day one, the staff, the cleanliness, the food were excellent. The staff can't do enough to help; so kind and considerate. Today is the first time I have been in for 18 months, the young person who met me at the door and helped me through all the process was extremely kind and helpful as I was quite upset seeing my friend for the first time. I had a lovely visit. Thank you.

I would just like to leave a review of Willow Park and my father's ongoing care. I and my family have been highly delighted with his care provided for over 2-years. Throughout Covid, I have had regular calls from lovely caring staff on the Mitchell unit and been explained to about every step of strict visitation, which must have been a nightmare to police. The staff are brilliant here, and the place is the best for care in the district. Thank you to everyone concerned at Willow Park.

Reply from Patrica Green, Home Manager at Willow Park

Thank you for your lovely comments, Mark. It means a lot to the staff to know they are appreciated, especially in these hard times. I thank everyone who has commented and assure you these comments are passed on to the staff. Their faces light up when they hear comments like these. Thank you so much.

I can't praise this home highly enough. My husband was suffering from vascular dementia and spent two months here until his recent death. He had the most excellent of care from the friendly caring staff who always went that extra mile. It was a great comfort to me knowing he was so well cared for and always with dignity. As visitors were not allowed due to coronavirus, they made sure they spent time with him, going through his photos to help him remember. When I spent his last two days with him, they looked after me with care and compassion, giving me meals, drinks and emotional support. I can't thank them enough for making his last two months of life so happy and content.

My mum has been in Willow Park for 2 years now on the Nightingale unit. We looked at many care homes in the area, and definitely know we made the right choice. I cannot express how greatful we were at getting her in this care home. The home is like a 5* hotel with a cafe, bar and cinema and is spotlessly clean. The care is second to none and they treat Mum and us like family.

My mum is in hospital at the moment and cannot wait to get back. I think that says it all.

Willow Park care home looks like a hotel when you enter the reception area. It is tastefully furnished and comfy for the residents. Everywhere you go is spotless. There are no funny smells whatsoever. All residents are treated with respect and their personal likes and dislikes and comfort are considered. The carers are all hardworking and caring of their charges. My mother passed away on 9th January at 102 years old. She received an exceptional level of care in her last months.

I have worked at Willow Park since June 2021. I have worked in the care sector in various roles for 10 years. I love my job at Willow Park. The best part of my job is the interactions with the residents and relatives. As an administrator, I am there to support not only the financial side of the home but also the well-being and transition period throughout the stay of our residents.

Willow Park is for me a warm inviting home that is full of fun and laughter, great consideration goes to the resident's wishes. I am proud to be part of the team.
