My dad was only in Willow Park for four weeks, but the care he received was second to none. From the very start, myself and my family were included in his individual needs and personal tastes. But the thing that stood out the most was how they genuinely cared for him. From singing to him to encourage
him to eat or just holding his hand in comfort. Even when the end came, all the staff showed kindness, compassion and love to us all. I cannot thank or recommend Willow Park enough.

My husband has only been at Willow Park for four weeks but it feels as if it is much longer he has settled in so quickly. The staff are wonderful, treating my husband with care and consideration whilst maintaining the banter and humour that he enjoys so much. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

My mother received excellent care, given with kindness and love throughout her three-year stay at Willow Park. Even during the covid lockdown period, everything possible was done to give families opportunities to see and visit loved ones.

My friend has been here for two years. We couldn't believe how beautiful it was when we first visited. From day one, the staff, the cleanliness, the food were excellent. The staff can't do enough to help; so kind and considerate. Today is the first time I have been in for 18 months, the young person
who met me at the door and helped me through all the process was extremely kind and helpful as I was quite upset seeing my friend for the first time. I had a lovely visit. Thank you.

I would just like to leave a review of Willow Park and my father's ongoing care. I and my family have been highly delighted with his care provided for over 2-years. Throughout Covid, I have had regular calls from lovely caring staff on the Mitchell unit and been explained to about every step of strict
visitation, which must have been a nightmare to police. The staff are brilliant here, and the place is the best for care in the district. Thank you to everyone concerned at Willow Park.
Reply from Patrica Green, Home Manager at Willow Park

Thank you for your lovely comments, Mark. It means a lot to the staff to know they are appreciated, especially in these hard times. I thank everyone who has commented and assure you these comments are passed on to the staff. Their faces light up when they hear comments like these. Thank you so much.

During which time she has had outstanding care and kindness by all the staff. The staff are always excellent and can’t help enough. I would recommend Willow Park without hesitation

I can't praise this home highly enough. My husband was suffering from vascular dementia and spent two months here until his recent death. He had the most excellent of care from the friendly caring staff who always went that extra mile. It was a great comfort to me knowing he was so well cared for and
always with dignity. As visitors were not allowed due to coronavirus, they made sure they spent time with him, going through his photos to help him remember. When I spent his last two days with him, they looked after me with care and compassion, giving me meals, drinks and emotional support. I can't thank them enough for making his last two months of life so happy and content.

My mum has been in Willow Park for 2 years now on the Nightingale unit. We looked at many care homes in the area, and definitely know we made the right choice. I cannot express how greatful we were at getting her in this care home. The home is like a 5* hotel with a cafe, bar and cinema and is spotlessly
clean. The care is second to none and they treat Mum and us like family.
My mum is in hospital at the moment and cannot wait to get back. I think that says it all.

Willow Park care home looks like a hotel when you enter the reception area. It is tastefully furnished and comfy for the residents. Everywhere you go is spotless. There are no funny smells whatsoever. All residents are treated with respect and their personal likes and dislikes and comfort are considered.
The carers are all hardworking and caring of their charges. My mother passed away on 9th January at 102 years old. She received an exceptional level of care in her last months.

Following a fall and a short spell in hospital we were looking for a home for Mum for respite rehabilitation.
Willow Park were the most helpful whilst undertaking the search and have provided excellent care and support for Mum since she has been there.
She is thriving under their care and enjoying
the social interaction with both Carers and residents.
I can only express my gratitude to all involved in her care and making this difficult time an enjoyable one for her.

We needed a care home for my mother-in-law after she had a stroke in April. We looked at a few and Willow Park was the only one that had everything we wanted for her.
As soon as you walk through the door you feel at home. It is spotless and is very welcoming. The staff are professional and they clearly
all care about the residents and are happy in their work. Everyone is friendly, kind and always willing to help whatever the question.
Thank you to everyone at Willow Park, you made a really difficult time easier to deal with. I don't know what we would do without you. Thank you for treating my mother-in-law with dignity, respect and taking such good care of her.

Since being at Willow Park my father has started to take an interest in life again. He is no longer a lonely and depressed 95-year-old man but a happy extrovert in taking an active interest and participation in conversation and all activities provided. When I visit my father, he greets me with a smile,
and is eager to tell me what he has been doing. I know when I return home he is happy, well fed and cared for. I can now sleep easy at night, knowing he is happy, safe and secure.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.214)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.214) out of 10 for Willow Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.611 for Willow Park is calculated as follows: ( (100 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (11 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 131 Ratings = 4.611
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.603 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willow Park is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.8 = 0.703
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
