Teesdale Lodge Nursing Home

My husband was a resident at Teesdale Lodge Thornaby for the last four years. He had chronic kidney disease and other health issues. The staff and management were consistently professional and caring. His health was precarious and the staff were alert to changes in his condition and contacted other health professionals quickly. My husband's last days were quiet, calm and peaceful. I thank all the staff for their care, support and friendship at this most difficult of times.

Staff are hardworking and very helpful and caring. I find handrails in the corridor sticky sometimes. A higher toilet would be easier for my husband to use. All staff are very friendly.

This home is outstanding, the staff and management put the resident at the heart of everything they do. I cannot praise them enough. Dignity and respect at all times. Rooms could do with updating/decorating but we wouldn't want him anywhere else.

It is such a pleasure to visit my dear, best friend at Teesdale Lodge. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the entire team seem like one big, happy family. The manager and staff are always visible and go above and beyond. My friend is treated with dignity, respect and kindness and tells me she is very happy and settled here. I would highly recommend it.

I cannot fault the staff at Teesdake Lodge. My friend is treated with the utmost respect, care and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble in making sure she is comfortable and feels reassured. The home is always clean and tidy. The food always looks and smells appetising. There is also a wide range of activities which she can take part in if she wants to. I would recommend this home without reservations.

All the staff at Teesdale Lodge looked after my mother-in-law, showing respect and care to the highest of standards. I could not fault the communication between the home and my wife at all times. Our family have nothing but praise for every single member of the team and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did for her.

We have so many happy memories of her during her time at Teesdale Lodge Nursing Home and will always be grateful for the love and care you gave to her. I cannot praise the staff at Teesdale Lodge enough. To see how happy and content my mother is when we visit is such a comfort to us. She tells us that she would not want to live anywhere else. My mother is very frail but we know she is getting the best care possible and is happy, content, and safe which is all down to the compassionate care given by the staff.

Mam has been a resident in Teesdale Lodge Nursing Home for 6 years. Our family are happy knowing that mam who is 95 is being well looked after. All of her nursing needs are taken care of in a friendly, professional way, Mam has a good appetite and her pureed meals are wholesome and varied. She always looks clean and well cared for and we are fortunate that she is living in a homely environment. The home is always clean and welcoming.

I find Teesdale Lodge a lovely care home. The staff and management are excellent and are very caring and will do their best to ensure my husband and I believe other residents get the best care possible. The atmosphere in the home is peaceful, the carers appear to be happy and content and I feel assured should any problem arise with my husband I will be notified immediately which means a great deal to me. I will gladly recommend this home.

Mum has been in Teesdale Lodge for just over a year she was not expected to live more than a few weeks. The staff have taken to her and looked after her like she was their own. I can't tell you how grateful I am to them - would recommend this care home and it's staff.

Teesdale Lodge is a wonderful care home. My mum settled in really well. The staff are excellent. They are very caring. My mum is so happy there. I would highly recommend Teesdale Lodge.

My only negative comment would be that greater flexibility could and should be shown in respect of visiting, as window visits in December is not ideal for anyone.

Teesdale Lodge is a very caring environment. All the staff go that extra mile to ensure the residents are safe, happy and well cared for. During this difficult time, they are ensuring that they keep residents safe and keep contact with families and loved ones by regular video calls and regular updates and phone calls, which means a lot to families and residents, to keep the contact going.

This current (COVID) situation is a testing time for both Teesdale Lodge and for us as relatives but we are so happy that Dad is being looked after here. We are updated regularly with Dad's progress and they have initiated video calls so that we can see him. They include Dad in the regular activities which we love. We know that every decision is made with the residents' interest at heart and that gives us huge peace of mind. Thank you to everyone who works there.

We will never be able to thank them enough for what they did.

As with others leaving reviews for Teesdale Lodge, my mother was taken into the Care Home for end of life palliative care. Bless her, she has vascular dementia and the added complications of Kidney failure, and many other ailments. So only expected mum to live for a short length of time, here we are now into August, and because of the wonderful care and attention she has been receiving she is still with us. Taking an interest in the staff and able to communicate with them. All the staff from carers to T ladies and cleaners have contributed to my mum's welfare. Cannot thank them enough. I live in France and to feel so far away and unable to do anything in the way of visiting - especially with Coronavirus. Regular contact with the manager and his staff, I have complete faith in her care and even in her quality of life.

My stay here at Teesdale Lodge has been excellent. My experiences here have been very good, positive in fact. The food was good and one never went hungry. The staff were very professional in all their daily activities. Thank you for making my stay as good as it possibly could be.
