Situated in a residential area, this home is a modern purpose built home proving a high standard of residential care, residential and nursing care for people with dementia and care for people with learning disabilities. They also provide respite care to give home carers a much needed break and day care.

Professionals provide person centred care in three homely and welcoming units. The home is staffed by a team of professional registered nurses and dedicated carers who all have experience and training.

Staff are committed to providing the highest possible standards of care. Residents will be treated as individuals and cared for with respect and dignity within a safe, comfortable and homely environment which encourages independence where appropriate.

Amazing home to my uncle. The staff are doing an amazing job keeping him and the other residents safe throughout covid. Rooms are well presented and the staff are friendly and approachable. There is always activities going on to keep him entertained. Thank you to the admin for the help getting on Skype
so I can video call him.

I am very pleased with the nursing home in every way, ie. help, advice, care, cleanliness and mostly the way this nursing home and all its staff have coped with this pandemic. I can't praise everyone enough.

Peterlee Care Home is the best place to take your loved one. Care is incredible. Staff are amazing and my father-in-law settled in so well as if he was home. Visits are cool and you are made to feel like part of the team. We can highly recommend this lovely oldie worldly care home.

My partner gets looked after and care for very well. They meet all his needs. Care staff are kind, caring and polite. Food is top class quality and if he has special food requests they provide this no problem. This care home is an excellent place.

The staff are caring, approachable and will support residents to be comfortable and happy. The home provides modern living within a residential setting. It is always clean and welcoming and doesn't smell of urine like some homes sometimes do. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

My mother has been a resident for the past 5 years, during this time she has received excellent care and compassion. All staff are very good and it's nice to see the care is given to all the residents. The care home has monthly meetings but if I had any concerns or issues would not have a problem in
talking to the person in charge.

My wife has been a resident for 5 years and in all the time have never had any cause to complain at all. Every one of the staff complete their duties to the highest order showing they do care, even occasionally during difficult circumstances.

From the day my Mother was admitted she has been treated with respect and dignity. She is always clean and well kept. The food is of a high nutritional value presented well and plenty of it. Mum is difficult to deal with but the experienced well-trained staff are amazing with her. They know her so well,
manager and staff keep me well informed at all times. I am very impressed.

I have been the Registered Manager at Peterlee Care Home since August 2021 and I have over 18 years of experience working with the elderly. I oversee the day-to-day running of the home. I value the members of staff who make a very strong team, with many having been employed for a considerable amount of time, across all departments. I am passionate about providing a person-centred approach to care, ensuring a high service of care is maintained at all times, all staff within the home have completed mandatory training and work to high standards of care at all levels. The residents within the home have individual needs which are met by highly trained staff, I will endeavour to provide a high-quality service where residents and their families are priority.
