Every time I leave Williamston after visiting my dad I say a silent thank you. It is such a relief to know he is in a great place and it is the people and their care that make it so. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always approachable and genuinely want us all to be happy. There is laughter and kindness in abundance. Highly recommended.

Williamston has provided a stable and caring environment for my gran during a significant period of change in her life. Moving into residential care is never easy, but over time she has settled well and now clearly regards this as her home, which has been important for her confidence and wellbeing.
The staff are consistently kind, respectful, and attentive, taking time to know residents as individuals. Interactions are calm and dignified, with a genuine focus on residents' emotional wellbeing as well as their day-to-day care needs.
Communication from management has been open and professional, particularly around health matters, which has helped build trust over time. The home is clean, safe, and set in a pleasant rural location, creating a calm and reassuring environment.

Overall, Williamston provides compassionate and dependable residential care, and we are grateful for the care shown to my gran.

My dad has been a resident in Williamston since the beginning of 2025. He is under nursing care due to diabetes. He has been diagnosed with alzeimers and vascular dementia making his care quite different on a daily basis. Each carer works with his early morning mood to set him up for a good day, for my dad this usually involves a singsong in the shower which lifts his spirits and I love that. Always a warm and friendly welcome when visiting. Fresh cooked meals which my dad loves as always looks forward to meal times.

Currently decorated for Christmas giving an even more upbeat mood. I cannot praise all the staff for their commitment to their residents.

My mother was placed in Williamston Nursing Home due to frailty, having lived on her own for many years. She settled in very quickly due to the attentiveness of wonderful caring staff, nothing was too much trouble and she was still able to make decisions for herself. She was welcomed as if she were a family member and treated as such. I can't recommend Williamston enough. My mother even gained weight whilst there as she said the food was always lovely! Excellent home, excellent staff.

I can honestly say the staff at Williamston have been amazing. Nothing seemed too much trouble & they went out of their way to assist us on the passing of our dear friend.

The staff work very very hard & even when stretched to the limit we were treated with respect & a welcoming smile. We have been kept up-to date at every opportunity & have considered the staff friends for many years. I cannot thank them enough for their help & generosity even in our toughest time of saying goodbye. Thank-you

A family friend recently moved to Williamston Nursing Home and since being there she has done so well, staff are really friendly and provide great entertainment, the staff dress up as unicorns, Santa and a snowman to ensure everyone had a fab Christmas. Also, they are gradually redecorating the home and the new colour scheme is fabulous and helps create a fresh look.

Reply from Kole Grewal, Director at Williamston Nursing Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us, this really means a a lot. My staff and I try our very best to make the home as comfortable as possible for the residents and take the time and care necessary. I'm also glad you have noticed the ongoing redecoration programme, which will take some time but a fresh look and new subtle colours were necessary.

Mum became a resident of Williamston in February 2024. This was a hard transition for her, from living in her own home to living with others. As a retired nurse she can be very precise in what she wants to happen, when and how. The staff have always tried their best to accommodate her wishes, in a kind, caring and friendly manor. Early in Mum's stay the home changed hands. The manager and senior nurse working together have made improvements in the standards of care being provided to my mum. The home itself has lovely grounds to use nice weather. The interior is quite tired but recently re-decoration and refurbishment has commenced. Mum has to have a soft diet which the staff try to make as interesting as possible for her, they try their best to tempt her with different things i.e. welsh cake. The activities lady has been off for some time and Mum says she misses that interaction. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and commitment to Mum's care and feelings.

Overall Experience
Having arrived in the previous month (July 2024) and settled in, I have found Williamston to be friendly, calm, and enjoyable. I was made to feel most welcome. As someone new to living in an environment like this, I was rather anxious about asking for things. As an example, being diabetic, I have to be careful about what I can eat, so at my first breakfast, I requested to have Marmite spread on my toast. Profuse apologies followed, the kitchen had none in, but the next morning there was a jar of the spread on the table. It's been on offer every day since. Nothing seems too much trouble. That little gesture made me instantly feel part of the 'family'.

Many of the residents suffer from dementia, I don't, my mind is clear, but I do have trouble with my walking and balance and I am prone to fall. Nevertheless, the staff are all really friendly and are always able to help when I need it. To be totally honest, I can find nothing to fault.

A first-class care home set in Pembrokeshire. All staff are friendly and fully qualified. There is always a warm welcome as soon as you go through the door. For any needs that a resident requires the home gives 100 per cent to carry out their wish. I would recommend Williams Nursing Home to any upcoming resident.

I am so grateful for the outstanding care my elderly Grandma receives here. From the moment she moved in, it was clear that she was in good hands. They go above and beyond to ensure her comfort, safety, and happiness, treating her with the same kindness and respect they would show their own family members. I will always be thankful to the staff for letting our family create life long memories with my grandma by helping us organise a 'wedding reception' in the care home so she could be a part of my sisters wedding.

The place is always immaculate and welcoming, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes visiting a pleasure. The staff are always so attentive, and genuinely caring, always taking the time to engage with my Grandma and address her needs promptly and with compassion. I cannot thank the team enough for their exceptional care and commitment to my Grandmas well-being. Knowing she is in such capable and loving hands brings our family immense peace of mind.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. My team and I try very hard to make the home welcoming, friendly and homely. Taking the time to host the wedding reception was our pleasure, we want to create long-lasting memories for families and their loved ones. From the first moment I stepped into Williamston Home I knew this was the best home for Dad. The staff and management are cheerful, work very hard and above all else are very kind and understanding about Dad's dementia. The staff and other residents have become a second family to Dad and I. Thank you all for the excellent level of care you provide. It is much appreciated.

My mother has lived in Williamston since 2021. When she moved in, it was a difficult time for all of us, especially as Covid restrictions were in place. However, we were made very welcome, and while she was in quarantine, we visited every day.
As would be expected, she has deteriorated a lot in that time, but she is so well cared for and known. There are so many little instances we have seen that demonstrate that all the staff know her well.

I have complete confidence in the staff to care for Mum and feel they care for her in the way I would like a friend to do - they are physically affectionate but never inappropriate. We feel like we are visiting Mum in her home, not an institution.
