Overall Experience

My aunt has been a resident at Williamston Nursing Home for just over two years. She originally became a resident after a fall which resulted in a lengthy recovery. The staff were excellent throughout this phase of her stay providing round the clock treatment and care until she recovered. My aunt was then diagnosed with cancer and continued to receive the highest quality of care, despite finally becoming bedridden until her death at the beginning of May. The staff kept her going and it was always a pleasure to visit her and hear about how well she was being looked after by the team. I’d recommend Williamston to anyone.

My father's cousin was treated with kindness and tolerance. She had dementia and didn't really recognise or remember most people. She was happy every time I visited her. She was always clean and dressed nicely in her own clothes.

We love to get responses from the family and friends of the residents. It makes us proud when we see positive responses. We always try our best to give our residents a good standard of care and make them feel at home.

Superb support for my father through what has been a very difficult time. My father was in Williamston for six months and they did everything to keep us informed and able to have contact with him. To have to choose a home when you are unable to see it was worrying but the staff were amazing. Thank you for your care to both my father and us, as a family.

I cannot praise the staff at Williamston enough. The care and compassion shown to both my aunt and us as a family has been exemplary. Her needs were all met with both dignity and a smile. I'm so thankful to them for all her care.

For the short term of 5 months approximately, we found the manager and all of the staff very obliging and the care that they gave to our aunt was exceptional. The home was spotless.

My relative has been very happy since she first came here three months ago. She has settled in very well and adjusted to her new life having to give up living independently in her own house. The staff are all very kind and the visiting hours are not restricted. I am always made to feel very welcome.

Friendly, attentive, compassionate staff, under the supervision of the manager whose recruitment and training of staff is obviously unimprovable. My mother was the happiest she'd been for many years during her time at Williamson.

Such a warm, happy caring environment. Very caring staff nothing seemed too much trouble when dealing with a resident or a family member. Lots going on to keep residents occupied, also lots of quiet areas to sit if needed. I would not hesitate to ask if my mum could go back to Williamston for respite. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making such a sad situation bearable for all concerned. 100% recommended.

The staff are extremely kind, patient and helpful, all staff be they nurses or domestic staff and the manager are lovely, they make time to spend with everyone and are extremely well trained especially in cases of dementia. Regular activities help to entertain the residents. My mum has settled in very well, at a difficult time of grief and change and this I believe is due to the care she has received. Williamston is a lovely old house in a rural part of the country, with lots of lovely trees around. It's lovely.

My mother passed away in Williamston Nursing Home.
I live 200 miles away and the help and support I received from the matron and staff in arranging everything sensitively coordinating with the funeral directors and registering the death and supporting me through my bereavement was exemplary.

The care that my mother received during her 6 and a half years at the care home was of the highest standard and she enjoyed joining in all the activities on offer.

My mother was a resident in Williamston Nursing Home for over three years before she died peacefully in her sleep. Like most people, she had her ups and downs, good days and bad days, but all were catered for by the attentive, caring staff in an exemplary, professional manner. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times and there was always someone with her during her final hours. I would have no hesitation recommending Williamston Nursing Home to anyone looking for a future home for a family member. We couldn't have hoped for more kind-hearted and thoughtful staff.

I can't recommend Williamston Nursing Home enough. My father's care has been first class, all the way, from the manager down to the maintenance teams. He is always met with a smile, the food is cooked on site, so fresh, which is very good. Dad's personal appearance is always clean, as is his bedroom. The home is always clean and tidy. No restrictive hours is fantastic so I can visit whenever. Dad's needs are met always and he is very happy at Williamston. The only downside is the driveway! (Could do with wifi all around the home to share videos).

My Nan was in Williamston Nursing Home and sadly passed away in September this year, and the care she received was fantastic. The staff are friendly kind and genuinely care for the residents and their families. No words can describe how wonderful this home is and I don't know how to thank them all.

Initially, my mother-in-law was unsettled on arrival at Williamston Nursing Home, but within a week or two she had become contented. She now tells us frequently how happy she is and how kind everyone is towards her. She loves the company and being able to have her hair done each week as well as being able to see a chiropodist and optician in the home. She is also complementary about the chef and the meals provided. My husband, his brothers, sisters and I are all pleased with the care and protection she gets and know we can leave her, after our visits, in safe hands without worry.

My husband entered Willimaston Nursing Home in May 2017 and both of us are very happy to have chosen Williamston, it has a homely atmosphere and all the staff are very friendly and caring. He has a lovely room and we are free to make it as we want it. The Beautifull garden which we are free to use on nice days and lots of activities to join in with.

I cannot praise and thank everyone at Williamston Nursing Home enough for care and kindness shown to my mother since entering the home. All the staff have shown respect and care doing a job that is very demanding. My mother is 95 and coming towards the end of her life. The staff have been very caring and sympathetic to myself and family and again I thank them most sincerely for all they have done and continue to do.

My husband was admitted on May 16th full time. He is nearly 91 years old, many TIA's and mental confusion. I met him when I was 23 years old, nursed him through his operation. I was a young staff nurse living just next to Guys' hospital London. We have been married 53 years. The patience of the staff and their caring is amazing. The care plan is excellent, regular reports. Lovely lounges and grounds. Tomatoes grown and vegetables. Contact with the larger community.
