My sister and I could not be happier with Mum's care. She's thriving! She always seems happy and is offered endless cups of tea and biscuits! :)
All the staff seem cheerful and efficient. Nothing seems too much trouble. Issues seem to be dealt with quickly.

Thank you - it's so good to know that she's happy and cared for!

My wife is well cared for in a friendly, clean environment. The staff are friendly and take good care of my wife over the years she has been a resident in Brocastle
The caring staff work very hard, although I feel they are stretched when it comes to looking after the residents

They listen to any comments I may make and do their best to oblige.

The staff at Brocastle are absolutely outstanding. Mum was always treated with the upmost love, care and dignity up to her final days. The love they extended to us as a family was phenomenal. Always going above and beyond to ensure not only our Mum was well looked after but myself and my sisters too. I was blown away with the love and support the staff showed in what was an incredibly difficult time for us. Mum felt at home at Brocastle and we felt hugely reassured that the decision to select Brocastle care home was right for mum. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for mum and the support they showed us. I couldn't recommend Brocastle more highly. Absolutely outstanding staff and Home.

I cannot thank the wonderful staff at Brocastle Manor enough for the caring and compassionate way they cared for my seriously ill husband during the four years he was in their care. He was suffering with advanced mixed dementia with psychotic episodes, which very often required nursing care which was complex, highly skilled and very often of an unpredictable nature. I noticed his carers were always kind patient and always willing to go the extra mile. The clinical leads Amanda Clara and Kirsty were always willing to answer any questions I had relating to his care plans which were always very thorough and up to date. Thank you wonderful people for being so humane and understanding during one of the most difficult periods of our families life.

My father moved into Brocastle in December, 2024. We visit my Dad at least twice a week. The staff are always very welcoming, professional and Dad sees Brocastle as his home. The Home is excellent in surroundings, facilities, catering and has really lovely gardens that we take Dad out into. Overall, cannot see or find any fault with Brocastle.

The period under review reaffirms that the performance of the unit continues to please. As this period covers the festive season, once again, "the team" performed exceptionally well and on Christmas Day, in particular, yet again "the team" excelled. The fayre was exceptional but what impressed me the most was that, despite their "early hours in preparation", the chefs found the time to circularise the residents to see if all was ok. Well done.

My relative was at Brocastle for 14years, she was so happy and well looked after throughout her time at the home, it truly was her home in every way. The staff quickly became her 'Brocastle family' greeting her every day with a big smile, whilst helping her to continue doing what she enjoyed and maintain her independence for as long as possible. She was treated with care, compassion and dignity at all times by every member of staff at the home and they go above and beyond to care for the residents at all times. The staff were not only there to reassure her when she felt low but also to sing and laugh with her when there were concerts.
We were so happy with the care our relative received at the home, which was always a great reassurance for us as a family. During her last days at the home she was treated with so much love, compassion and dignity, the staff were so professional and caring at such a difficult time, something we will be forever grateful for.

Thank you team Brocastle.

Dad was given a temporary place at Brocastle Manor Care Home after being transferred from the local hospital while we looked for a nursing home in the area. Once he had been there a couple of weeks, we stopped looking. The home itself is in lovely surroundings - the gardens, residents' rooms and communal areas are very clean and well-maintained. But what really impressed us was the team at Brocastle. The staff are simply wonderful and so patient and kind - from the lovely ladies on reception, the healthcare assistants, the nurses, the cleaners and laundry staff - Dad got to know them all. Dad had a keen sense of humour and really enjoyed having a chat and a joke - he regarded them as friends.

As Dad grew increasingly frail, the home adapted to his needs and did everything to make him comfortable. We cannot thank them enough for the care they gave Dad, especially in the last few weeks. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Brocaste.

Overall Experience
Brocastle Manor Care Home has been a wonderful, welcoming home for my aunt in the last year of her life. The setting is lovely, with large and peaceful grounds, comfortable living areas, and good food that is readily available. The staff are excellent - helpful, kind, and patient, and clearly value their residents highly.
Before coming here, my aunt had been living alone, and her physical and mental health had deteriorated hugely. Brocastle really did give her a new lease on life, with the difference noticeable almost immediately, and gave me real peace of mind that she was safe, well-cared-for, and most importantly happy during her last months.

After her final stroke, the staff were ready to welcome her back to provide her end-of-life care, and when it became clear that this wasn't possible, they made it easy for us to close out her room. They even took the time to offer their condolences and stories of happy memories of her, which was truly appreciated at such a sad time.

Brocastle Manor Care Home is in a peaceful setting with relaxing surroundings. The home is purposeful so most rooms are similar size and all ensuite. There are two lounges on the ground floor, and all the residents are able to spend the majority of their time in them eating, socialising and enjoying activities. The staff are generally very good and there is plenty of activities for residents. The food seems good.

Firstly I just like to thank all the staff for the wonderful care they provide to my mum.
I also like to thank one staff member as without her I wouldn't be able to have the video calls which I have a few times a week due to living abroad. I cannot thank you enough or say how much I appreciate this.

Finally to all the staff I would just like on behalf of all the family to thank you for the care you provide to our mum and grandmother.
