Overall Experience

My mother has been at Beeches since February 2026, having previously residing in a care home for 9 months before breaking her hip which resulting in a hospital stay for a further 6 months. We as a family cannot thank the staff enough for the care our mother receives. A family member visits most days, we're able to see the care she receives, staff are very attentive (she does have her favourites we think!) My mother is always clean and tidy, her clothes are fresh each day, her room clean and tidy. Staff treat her with respect and dignity, which is all we can ask for. Her meals are catered to her needs. She is immobile and suffers from advanced dementia, so yes visits can be hard, staff do however make you feel welcome and at ease. Thank you.

My sister moved to The Beeches 3 months ago for nursing care, as her needs had increased beyond what her previous care home felt they could provide. I've seen a big improvement in her general wellbeing. She seems much happier and more content in herself, whereas she had often seemed quite anxious & upset previously. I feel goodness prevails in this place. The care & love shown by all the staff, has uplifted our spirits during a difficult time of change. Thank you everyone.

My mother June was resident at The Beeches for just 4 months but in that short time she was treated like a Queen! The care and kindness shown by every single care + nursing staff member was second to none. They showed empathy and gentle patience to my mother. I believe she lived longer just by living at the home and receiving the care by staff. The management too were wonderful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My mam has been here since 2023 and so far I have no worries about her care the staff are excellent with her. Could not be more pleased. Also the home is very clean and her room is always spotless. Though some of her clothes are not hers. And there are one or two things missing from her room. I would like her brown bag replaced a photo of her with her sister. Also a navy blue dressing gown with pink hearts found. Thank you all for the hard work you are doing.

Reply from Kenni Price, Registered Manager at The Beeches Care Home

Thank you for your kind feedback. We are so pleased to hear you are happy with your mam's care and our staff's support. We are sorry to hear about the missing items and mix-up with clothing. Prior to the new owners taking over, the home had become 'tired' and in need of updating, however since the new owners took over lots of changes have been made especially in the community and outside areas, these areas are now pleasant and welcoming for staff and residents to enjoy all the 'activities' and also each others company. My mother has always been cared for with respect and all her needs taken care of by all members of the Beeches staff.

Reply from Kenni Price, Registered Manager at The Beeches Care Home

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that the recent improvements have created a more welcoming and enjoyable environment for both residents and staff. It also means a lot to us that your mother feels respected and well cared for by everyone at The Beeches. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's ever anything more we can do to support your family.

Mum has been resident at the Beeches since September 2023. In that time she has always received the care we hoped for - kind and considerate staff and very careful nursing. There has been a noticable improvement in management in recent months, with far more attention to details such as providing podiatry and hairdressing. We are looking forward to Mum's 100th birthday in a few weeks, which we will celebrate along with the staff, who are arranging her 'party'!

Distinct lack of care and compassion from senior managers, lack of communication appears to be a lack of support to the carers community. Senior managers will not communicate with family. Too many agency staff resulting in continuity of care lacking.

The care received by my mother since moving in, in February 2020 has been excellent. I have felt informed and involved in all aspects of her care. The staff have gone above and beyond to make her comfortable and cared for. All the worry I felt has gone, and I am able to spend time (restrictions permitting) with my mother, knowing her care needs are being taken care of. My mother's care needs have increased, but the staff have responded well to these changes.
