But to be fair, the staff were excellent in looking after mum and she seemed to enjoy her stay here, despite being on edge the first couple of days understandably. The place was clean and well maintained by the staff and cleaners etc..
Also, it was near to the waterfront, so mum could be taken out, weather permitting!
I really can't thank the staff enough for taking mum at short notice and looking after here while I was away, with dignity, patience and kindness.
Would certainly recommend this home to anyone else in a similar position.
Many thanks
Please keep up us in mind for the future.
Best wishes from all of the staff at Bellavista, and send our love to your lovely mum.
My mother was admitted for respite care which soon got elevated to palliative care. The staff at Bellavista were attentive, friendly and professional and as my Mother's needs changed, so did the demands and the necessary response from the Home in difficult circumstances. I personally was made to feel welcome and there were no restrictions on visiting hours and I was told "to treat my mother's bedroom" as if it was her permanent home, which indeed it was until her sad end of life. Everyone we met was so generous and positive and comforting at the end and I compliment all the staff on their smiles and care.
Please take care of yourself and your loved ones.
The staff were excellent in their professionalism, care and friendly attitude to the residents.
I witnessed the staff dedication to help residents in every aspect of their care needs.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Our staff were very fond of your good friend, and it was a pleasure to care for her.
My brother has primary progressive MS so needs constant care round the clock.I find all the day staff really nice and very good at their jobs and my brothers needs are all seen to satisfactory and efficently with a couple of staff going above and beyond for him,I can dedinetly tell who his favourites are.
It is a pleasure to look after your brother, and he certainly is close to our hearts.
My mother was in temporary respite care whilst my brother had double knee replacement surgery. Mum said the staff at the home were lovely and took care of all her needs. She enjoyed the activities and was even taken on trips outside the home. She made new friends and found all the staff from managers, receptionist, nurses, cleaners and kitchen people to be very kind. Would like to thank everyone at Bellavista for making this a pleasant experience
Thanks for the feedback, it was a pleasure looking after your wonderful mother, and lovely meeting such a charming family!
Dad moved in at the start of October and sadly passed away on the 23rd of January. When he initially moved in, he was confused and angry, but the staff were so patient with him and treated him with care and compassion that the transition became easier. I regularly visited sometimes without notice and would see them with him when they didn't know anybody was watching or listening and their compassion and professionalism carried on even when they thought they were out of the public eye. Ceri , Charmaine , Raj , Dimpl , Anjana and the rest of the team were amazing and made sure that every day he felt loved and cared for.
Thanks you so, so much for your lovely words about our home and staff. It was a pleasure to look after your Dad, and it was our privilege to work with such a loving family.
Thank you all so much xx
I will pass on the praise to my staff who work so hard to look after the residents as if they were their own family. xxx
Lovely friendly and caring nursing home that go above and beyond for my mum can't fault them. Carers and nurses are so loving towards my mum since she went to Bella Vista . And all the nurses are lovely
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! It is very much appreciated when our staff are recognised for their on going hard work.
Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are delighted. Laura
Since my mother became a resident of Bellavista in Cardiff Bay, her recovery and transformation has been immense. The staff at the home (in particular the second floor where my mum is based) are extremely attentive and the nursing staff are amazing, I always feel listened to and always can ask questions and it's never a bother for the nursing staff to help. From entering reception, I always feel welcomed by everyone and it's lovely to have a chat with the admin staff. It's truly a relief to know that I can trust the staff at Bellavista and I have nothing but respect for all the staff here because they do nothing but their best for their patients and families.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I will pass this onto the staff, who will be delighted. Laura
Thank you for all that you do, it is so comforting to us as a family that our dad is cared for here. Warm wishes.
Thank you so much for such a lovely response. The staff will be very pleased.
We are really pleased with the care given to our mum. The staff are lovely and the environment is good. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will feed this back to the team.
I have been very pleased with the way my mum has been cared for so far. The staff are very caring and have spent time getting to know my mum. They are very patient and also have made every attempt to feedback to us the progress Mum has been making. I was very concerned about having to put Mum in a nursing home but the process has been made much easier because of the staff. We are always welcomed at any time of day.
Thank you so much for your kind words. They are very much appreciated.
We all would like the cost to be lower - however, we understand the commercial reality.
The staff are excellent - so caring and genuinely engaged with my mother, they are all polite, pleasant and helpful and there are a few who are superstars.
We know that our mother is safe - which is our main concern. The staff at Bellavista make her happy - which is a bonus.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. I do agree, we have some superstars!
Putting your loved one is a very difficult experience for any family, dad became too much medically for us to have him at home. Bellavista Care Home and staff are all wonderful. Dad is well cared for. The food is good, they even offered me Sunday lunch this week, vegetable are all fresh and well cooked. Trifles and cakes all made on site. Staff are hard working always smiling and very caring. One staff member in particular does the work of three people and never stops moving, a real asset to the company. Well done and thanks for being there, all of you.
My husband has Alzheimer's dementia and was admitted to the home in May 2024. I had visited the home prior to his admission and was immediately impressed by the bright, cheerful decor and the friendly, caring staff who I met that day. I visit my husband regularly and continue to be in awe of how well the home is run and the many activities that are organised for residents and families. I'm so relieved that my husband is in such a kind, caring environment!
Thank you so much for your positive review. I will share this with the team who will be delighted.
My dad seems happy here and seems content. Staff are always happy and helpful and satisfy ours and Dad's needs.
The staff are very caring, the facility is very clean and always tidy. The only problem I have is the resident's laundry that keeps going missing even though it's tagged with his name. Other than that, the facility and staff are amazing.
Thank you so much for your positive review. We are working with the laundry to try to ensure that missing laundry is not an issue. Kind regards.
All staff are polite and helpful and look after my son with great care. Would be nice to see staff with name badges so we know who they are and what their position is within the company. It's also lovely how they involve everybody in what they do.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. The team will be delighted that you appreciate them. Kind regards. Laura
The staff go above and beyond for Mum and my dad when he visits.
Only one complaint with regard to laundry, things are very often misplaced into other rooms or takes a while to arrive back from the laundry room.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. It's very encouraging for the team to know that you, as a family, are happy. I do apologise for any mix-ups with the laundry. We are working to ensure that the laundry service is more efficient. Kind regards, Laura.
