A grand country house sits comfortably in the dream Gower location with over 6 glorious acres of multi-award-winning gardens. The detailing of each room is stylish yet homely. Technology is unobtrusive and enhances the living experience. The facilities sit in a village setting with its neighbouring assisted living apartments.

A sense of welcome and community pervades. An array of facilities include a hair salon, 'Memoirs' restaurant and coffee shop, Masons' general store, a library, Coastal Fitness gym, physiotherapist and a hotel guest room, all within the Village and grounds.

It's truly unique in offering person-centred health and social care.

Overall the care my partner gets is excellent. They have to put up with a lot of his foibles. He likes to wander around and collect other people belongings, which is they patiently put up with and is retrieved and given back.
He did cause some issues which we did not know about, but with the managements
help that has know been rectified and we have now been locked in the loop of his goings on which I am now satisfied with.

My mother has been in Campion Gardens Care Home since January. Initially it was only for a few weeks but my mum settled in so well, making friends and enjoying lots of activities so she is now a permanent resident. I am always made welcome at any time of day and feel encouraged to stay and enjoy the
activities with mum when I can.
The newsletter and updates are great. They keep you updated on what your relative has or will be doing. The manager and staff are always very receptive to any concerns I have and I have peace of mind that they are looking after mum well but also encouraging her independence. Right from day 1, the manager has guided me and my mum through the care home systems and mum feels safe and secure. She has her own room with all the things in it she wants. Staff are always polite and residents are known by name, very well fed and looked after. The facilities and grounds are far better than I have seen in any other home. Highly recommend.

Campion Gardens is a beautifully decorated and welcoming care home with well-maintained grounds and an impressive choice of amenities and activities.
Following the initial transition to an environment with unfamiliar faces and surroundings, my mother appears to have settled well and is participating
in activities.
Staff have patiently encouraged and motivated my mother to get involved while providing a good standard of care and attention.
Mum is particularly enjoying the craft sessions, visiting the on-site hairdressers, having regular manicures and access to a chiropodist.
The supervision and preparation of food and medication have clearly made a big difference to both my mother's physical appearance and mental health. When I visit, she seems happier and calmer than she has been for several years of struggling to live independently.
Many thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at Campion Gardens

Wonderful home run by wonderful staff, my dad has been there coming up 5 years now and always seems to be happy.
He is looked after fantastically so I have no problem with that.
At the moment, the only problem if it is a problem as far as I'm concerned is that very often at the moment there are
sometimes when you ring and either can't get through or the phone is not being answered.
Yes no one knows what is going on but it might be an idea which I have raised to see if they can have a separate line for incoming calls. I'm sure this could be arranged.
Apart from that no worries or problems in any way whatsoever.

My mother-in-law moved here last July, I cannot recommend this care home enough.
Fantastic caring and helpful staff.
The care she is receiving is second to none. We were so worried with such a change for her but she has embraced it very well.
Cannot thank all the members of the team for doing such
a fantastic job.

The home in Campion Gardens Care Home is a lovely care home.
The staff are always helpful and friendly. The care home team manager and her supporting staff have given 100% care.
If there is anything that I would like to ask, the manager is always happy to explain and give updates on my mum's care.
The
team have worked really well and have not had any Covid cases. This goes to show the team's full commitment towards caring for the residents. They deserve some recognition and pay rose for all the time and effort they give to the residents.

The staff at Campion Gardens Care Home have been very welcoming and open. They have helped my mother settle into her new home. Mum has put on weight and appears to be happy. She is eating more and enjoys talking to her carers.
The home is taking great care with Covid-19 precautions for which I am very
grateful.

My nana has been at Campion Gardens Care Home for two months and I can't thank the staff enough for the care she receives. My nana says how the staff always have a smile to greet her in the morning and they've taken the time to really get to know her and made her feel so welcome. She loves to sit out
in the pretty gardens and it's never too much trouble when she asks if a member of staff can assist her. The food is nice she says and she loves to be able to see the entertainment.

Mum, who is 95 and has dementia, has been in Campion Gardens Care Home for five years and has been very well looked after by a warm and caring staff who have been relatively stable during that time. So much so that despite relocating to Hampshire we have not thought it appropriate to move her to be
near us as that would upset her greatly. She recently had a fall and was conveyed to hospital by the staff. She was then allowed back to the home with little delay as they undertook to provide the necessary care for her recovery.

My grandmother recently moved into Campion Gardens Care Home. The team is making a real effort to help settle her in and reassure me of her progress. Nan says the food is delicious and plentiful and that the carers have given her a warm welcome. She especially enjoys it when they sing to her! Thank

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.891)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.891) out of 10 for Campion Gardens Care Home, Day Care & Convalescence Care Hotel is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.639 for Campion Gardens Care Home, Day Care & Convalescence Care Hotel is calculated as follows: ( (51 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.639
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.252 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Campion Gardens Care Home, Day Care & Convalescence Care Hotel is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.652
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
