Nothing is too much trouble.

The home has made me feel safe, secure and comfortable. The staff are very attentive and caring.

My father was only in Bargoed Care Home for a month before he passed away. During this time, I was so impressed with the care that my father received. He had a stroke in December and slowly declined mentally and physically, but the staff tried to lift his spirits by moving him to a bigger, brighter room with a view, providing him with a bigger bed and ensuring his personal photographs and moments were around him. In the last week of his life, I had Covid, and I couldn't be with him, but the staff cared for him so well and kept me informed. I will be forever grateful to them all.

The care home is immaculate, well kept and always looks lovely. The corridors are kept clear no matter when you go in. The staff are friendly and happy, and nothing is too much trouble. They will always stop and socialise, besides having friendly banter. My aunt has settled in very well, always clean and treated with care and dignity - she also says how lovely everyone is. Previously, my father-in-law was in this home, and this was how I recommended it to my aunty. I know there is no need to worry as my aunty is in safe hands! Thank you!

My sister has been a resident at Bargoed Care Home for a number of years. She regards it as her home and is happy and content; this is due to the excellent care she receives from all the staff. This was apparent with Covid recently when under very difficult conditions, the home was kept running smoothly with all hands on deck, and excellent care was maintained.

All my mother's needs are catered for. She has a loved room, with everything she needs. Clean bedding, clothes, etc. All her medical and personal needs are sent too. Food and drinks are all monitored, giving me peace of mind. She is totally being looked after. Any medical conditions are promptly seen to by a doctor or nurse and treated promptly. The staff are friendly, and the manager is very helpful.

I am very satisfied with the service provided by the home. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and facilities on after are of a high standard. I am happy with the care provided, and medical issues are dealt with promptly.

Helpful staff, nothing is too much bother. Always act promptly to any concerns. Mum could do with more visits from the hairdresser.

What a lovely place to live, so friendly. My mother is well looked after here. She likes to take part in most activities here and loves it when singers and guest come to visit.

My Mam has been a resident of Bargoed Care Home for many years. They work tirelessly to ensure all residents are happy comfortable and well looked after. I cannot thank the staff enough for my mothers care especially during lockdown, you are angels each and every one of you.

Bargoed Care Home is a very helpful and friendly environment. The care staff are excellent with my husband and treat him with respect. The management staff are also very approachable and have always listened to any concerns I have.

My sisters flat is being refurbished and she did not want to move out. At the last hour, our family situation changed due to illness and she had no choice but to move out. She has been made very welcome, I have visited each day, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. My sister (who has mild learning difficulties) could not be more settled. Nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic home from home, whether permanent or short stay, I know she is in good hands.

My wife suffers from dementia and cannot be cared for at home. We have been married for 53 years and obviously, I am very grateful to all the staff at Bargoed Care Home for the caring and professional way that they look after my wife. Any concerns that I have are discussed with the carers and management to the satisfaction of both parties.

The staff at Bargoed Care Home are hard working and dedicated, they provide an outstanding level of care. They are friendly and always very helpful. Both myself and my son have attended a number of shows and events at the care home and have always be made to feel very welcome and we have really enjoyed being able to be a part of these events, Thank you.

Excellent is only one word out of many I will use for this wonderful home. Compassionate care is their natural nature, also fun and laughter and listening to residents. Cooks use all fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. If a resident does not want his or her food they come out from the kitchen and try to persuade them, if it doesn't work they offer soup or sandwiches. If you have a problem with the rooms the cleaner will attend to it. Laundry is kept to a high standard. As for activities, they are encouraged with quite a few things. Shows are put on. Last, they gave ME support with their cheerfulness.

My dad has been in Bargoed since October 2017. He seems to have settled in. He is a very private man that doesn't like to mix with others. He's been in the day room on a few occasions to watch an artist and choirs which he seemed to enjoy. The staff have got to know his ways and his personality, I feel that they treat him respectfully.

My husband was a resident at Bargoed Care Home for 8 months. During this time he was treated with love and respect. he was treated as an individual and the staff got to know his character they knew is likes and dislikes. During his last few weeks, he had the best care possible and we as a family were supported and cared for. we couldn't have wished for better.
