My mum have been in this care home for just over a year . Mum is always clean and neatly dressed. The rooms and bedding are always clean kept. The sitting rooms are cosy with tvs/music and staff interaction. The staff are always helpful and cannot do enough for my mum .They have lovely home made hot meals daily and each person is cared for their individual needs so I find it very much a resident needs centred care home.

Since becoming a resident at this wonderful home our mother is content . We have peace of mind in knowing that she is well cared for . The staff really care not only for mum but also us . We are always welcomed and kept updated .
Mum is no longer able to get out of bed but she still loves her meals . She always says it's tastes home made and slips down nicely . She now needs her meals to be puréed each item is easily recognisable .
We have also been offered refreshments which have been greatly appreciated .
The home itself is always clean and mums clothes beautifully laundered . It's recently been redecorated so it looks much brighter .
As mum no longer attends the lounge it's so nice to read the monthly news letter keeping abreast of all the activities going on .

This is a well run home who puts its residents needs first . It is warm, homely with staff who are dedicated to its residents . Thank you to all the amazing staff for keeping mum safe .

My mother has been a resident at Ynysddo Nursing Home for over 5 years now. Mam has deteriorated over the years, but the help and care from all the staff has been tremendous 'faultless'. The staff and management are a credit to the nursing home.

On behalf of myself and my family members, we are truly grateful for what you do for Mam. We know our mother is safe and is in good hands. Thank you again.

We as a family, myself, brother and sister we were all a bit apprehensive about our dad going into a nursing home.

Dad arrived at Ynysddu Nursing Home on 27/02/2024 and from the first day he was made to feel very welcome and was made a fuss of by all the staff, which made us children relieved that he was going to be well looked after. Dad is well fed and everything is clean and tidy. Dad has settled in very well and is very happy. Tasha, Tom and all the staff are amazing with him and with our family. Thanks for all you do.

Dad arrived at Ynysddu Nursing Home on the 27th of February. As soon as he arrived the staff made us feel completely at ease and extremely welcome. Understandably I was extremely worried as to whether I had made the right choice for Dad to move there, and I am so very pleased that I did. All of the staff are amazing, not just with Dad but with all of our family. Everything is clean and tidy and Dad is very well fed, which is great for him as he was not looked after by his former wife. Keep up the excellent work guys.

I am a lifelong friend of one of the residents. I always find the staff to be welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. My friend is very happy at the care home and enjoys his days. He is taken on trips and does activities such as making jewellery and other items. He has lots of fun at the home home. The staff are extremely kind and supportive and put his needs first.

My mother was concerned about going into a home, and we were with her reaction. However, the care and consideration she has received in Ynysddu have made a significant difference to her physical ad mental well-being. It is noticeable how content she now is. This, in turn, has given us peace of mind and confirmed that we made the right decision. The staff are professional, friendly and approachable, which has made the transition for my mother from her own home much more pleasant.

After a recent admission to another nursing home, their care there was very, very poor, the place was dirty and depressing. So having moved to Ynysddu Nursing Home it's like being in a five-star hotel. Staff fantastic, cleanliness amazing, friends want to visit this home more as it has a lovely atmosphere when visiting, lovely and roomy, spacious. There is a big improvement in our fiend and nothing is too much bother when asking staff. Privacy and dignity for the people who are placed here. Management are extremely helpful.

My father was a resident of Ynysddu Nursing Home for the last two years of his life. Whilst he was living there, the nurses and staff were always caring and friendly and always made us feel welcome and it was a pleasure to spend time there. My dad was always clean and well dressed and shaved. His room was always spotless and his bedding was always changed daily. The quality of care was outstanding and when my dad passed away a few weeks ago, the nurses and staff were compassionate and caring to our needs as a family as my father's which meant he passed away peacefully with the dignity and respect he deserved. I would like to thank all the staff at Ynysddu for the outstanding care they gave to us as a family and also my later father. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who is looking for nursing care for a loved one.

Very pleased with the care given. Well looked after, gives me peace of mind that she is constantly cared for as my daughter is a very time-consuming resident. Very welcoming at the home. Always made to feel welcome by both staff and management. Always enjoy being invited to events and activities. Very well presented building.

Reply from Basanta Nepal, Director at Ynysddu Nursing Home

My husband moved into Ynysddu Nursing Home three years ago. The initial atmosphere appeared very inviting. My husband was made most welcome by the Manageress, nurses, carers and cleaning staff, which made me feel so relieved as to his future home comforts. Because of these facts, he settled almost immediately. The standard of care I find is very high. The staff is very kind and caring. The cleanliness of the rooms and the building is excellent. The cuisine is much enjoyed by my husband. The menus are varied and special dietary meals addressed. Entertainment is provided with summer day trips at no expense to the residents. Various acts and bingo, all of which my husband enjoys, relatives are also invited. Ynysddu Nursing Home is more like one "big happy family" and both my husband and I feel like we are part of it. I would highly recommend this wonderful nursing home to anyone.

Where do I start to talk about this wonderful home. My mum moved there from hospital over 14 months ago. When she left the hospital they gave her a short life span has she has cancer and chest /heart problems. Since moving in she is a different mum, yes she still won't go on forever but her quality of life is so much better.
My mum is not the easiest person and has her moments but the Deputy Manager and his fantastic team handle mum with the respect, consideration, and understanding we all want for our elderly parents.

Mum was 90 last week. The home provided a fantastic cake and they all sang happy birthday, she also received a gift they even put sandwiches thee for the family Amazing!!!!

I want to thank them all, the Deputy Manager who mum loves!! Nurse, carers and activity lady plus the wonderful cook and the lady that makes sure mums clothes are sorted, the room cleaned. The list goes on. If I forgot any staff thank you to you all too.

This home gives me peace of mind when I travel, knowing my mum is in the best hands ever.

Thank you from me and my Mum. for everything.
