The Fields Care Home

The food is very good and the home always offers me a home cooked meal as well even though I am just visiting her. The home itself is bright, spacious and cheerful and there is a lovely patio garden that the most able residents can use during the summer months.

Visiting is totally flexible which is good for me and importantly when I have to leave after visiting my wife. I have good peace of mind that she is getting good 24 hour care.

My mother settled quickly having been transferred from another home. I found all staff warm, kind and friendly. When visiting I have found staff welcoming and helpful ie. providing seating, offering drinks. Residents are offered frequent meals snacks and a range of hot + cold drinks. Staff are solicitous is ensuring full support is provided.

My sister was accepted by Fields nursing home approx 8 months ago, she is suffering from dementia and lack of mobility I cannot praise the staff, from the manager to the cleaners, they are a superb team, all working so hard for each other having witnessed the kindness and understanding by each member of staff. My sister is extremely happy here. Being dog friendly and visitors can visit at any time within reason. Myself, I feel part of the group, visiting quite often, knowing most of the staff by name. Mum is really happy, everyone spends a lot of time making mum comfortable and content. The improvement is their to be seen. We as a family are really happy that mum has settled here.

I have been very impressed with the care my father is having. The staff are very professional and friendly and keep me informed of any new developments. My father has settled in well and his health and moods have improved during the 6 months he has been a resident. The home is clean, warm and the food provided has my father's approval. The room (bed) is very spacious and meets my father's needs.

All staff treated my mother with professionalism, and dignity at all times providing the utmost care. All staff were indeed angels and in our opinion unsung heroes. All staff deserve the highest award and recognition. Thank you!

The carers and the nurses are very professional and respectful, treating Mum and the other residents with dignity and care. The team also supports the families of the residents at a very difficult time. The team are truly angels on earth. Thank you.

When we were told my mother needed care in a home we decided to try the one my mother-in-law went into 17 years ago. My mother was admitted on 07/02/2023 and has settled in really well. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday and the home put on a buffet and decorated for the occasion.

I'm very grateful for the care my dad received at The Fields. He's had a prior experience at another home which was negative. The Fields was very different. It has a nice atmosphere with a caring team. Dad's wellbeing was paramount throughout his time and effort always made to enhance his experience. As his condition worsened, I felt the communication was very good and care provided sensitive to his needs at all times.

My husband was a resident at the home for 12 months. He had dementia. Treatment was of the highest we could have wished for. Communication between home and the family was brilliant. Cannot fault at all.

I am so glad that we saw out this nightmare in Fields and wish we could have come here sooner. I will forever be grateful for their kindness and support.

My husband has been at the home for six months. I am so grateful that I found a home which is like a home, warm and friendly with a lovely atmosphere. All the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are always there if you need them. I nursed my husband at home until he went into the home, which I dreaded, but I need not have worried. The care is excellent and so is the food, always greeted with a smile and offered a cup of tea/coffee.

A beautiful home - spacious and clean rooms. Carers and management are excellent. Food is good and variable. Nothing is a problem, very kind and considerate.

I would highly recommend the home to anyone. 10/10.

Always made to feel welcome and are really helpful. Attends to any request made on the resident's behalf. Staff appear to be happy in their work. My brother's room is very pleasant, clean, airy and comfortable.

My wife passed away in her sleep at the home approx 5:15 am Saturday 3rd April. My experience of the home is one of loving care to the residents and a warm welcome to visitors. It has a cosy family atmosphere and is a home I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Mum has been at The Fields care Home for over 5 years. She has advanced Alzheimer's. Before Covid-19 we visited often and go to know the staff and residents. They have very caring staff who look after the residents well, with dignity and care. We are kept well informed of mums health, welfare and needs. Over the time mum has been there, there have been various activity co-ordinators occupying those who are able to participate. Singers also have brought enjoyment to the residents. A highlight is the Christmas Party when residents and families join together to enjoy singers and entertainment with food and raffle which we could not attend this year.

Friendly and helpful.

No complaints very happy wit my husband's appearance and care. I don't think he would have survived if he hadn't come to the home. He is well-fed and loves his room. The staff and manager are lovely. I can't fault The Fields Care Home.
