My father appears to have settled here with the help of caring staff and hopefully, he will continue to be happy here.

My husband appreciates the attentiveness and cheerfulness of his carers. In the warm weather last summer, he loved being taken out in his wheelchair to enjoy the sun and fresh air in the courtyard garden. We are happy he is in safe and caring hands.

My father has settled in very well over the last two months. He has every confidence in the staff which makes him feel safe and secure. This gives the family peace of mind too. His room is warm and comfortable. He is kept clean and tidy at all times. Dad states he has sufficient food and drink to satisfy him.

The staff are friendly and attentive.

My dad moved to Hillview Court Care Home in November 2022 and the difference in him has been unbelievable. He went in there underweight and depressed and is now totally thriving! Every member of staff I've spoken to has been genuinely caring and so helpful. You hear a lot of bad press about Care Homes in general and this put me and my sisters off putting Dad into one but I can honestly say that Hillview has been exceptional, so much so that when I'm elderly and can no longer care for myself, this is where I want to be! I also think what makes this care home the ideal place for someone to live is because the units aren't too big like you find in the majority of care homes. My dad is so comfortable in the company of the other residents and I'm not surprised as it has a real sense of family. More care homes should be built this way, it offers our elderly loved ones so much more dignity and a sense of home. I honestly cannot praise and thank all the staff here enough!

We think that Hillview is an excellent care home which should help others looking for a residence for their relatives.

My son has been in the home since April, the staff are amazing and look after him so well. They are really friendly when we visit and he is extremely happy and well cared for. The food is really good, he certainly seems to enjoy it. The staff are fantastic and full of fun which is what you need to keep their spirits up

My brother is a resident at Hillview Court. We have found everything to be excellent, all the staff are very friendly and very efficient with my brother. I am very comfortable with asking any questions and I know that they will be answered. A first-class service all round!

In preparing for my mother going into a care home we had to offer our choices and this was No. 1. It has realised our expectations and now settled, Mum is relaxed and happier than she has been in years. Now, almost 98 years old, she enjoys the company and activities and her smile and humour has returned. The staff are really kind and caring and all who know me are open with information and requests. The care home is well managed with very good staff/resident ratio and small units on one level.

The care, which my late brother experienced, has completely dispelled any fear I had in respect of spending the latter months/years of life in a home. I can honestly use words like - a loving, happy, spiritually developing environment. Having visited many homes (as we get older our friends do too) I have been in one where the staff are both so compassionate and efficient. I thank them so much. My family has been well blessed.

My sister-in-law has been in residence there since it opened in 2001. During that time she has been looked after extremely well. This is good to know because we live 500 miles away and can only visit 4 times a year. We need to know that she is well looked after and this we have with Hillview Court Nursing Home.

The environment for residents is brights and cheerful with visitors being encouraged to involve themselves in daily activities.

The staff are extremely helpful.

Towards the end of her life, I was impressed by the very personal and professional manner in which her care was managed ensuring, as much as possible given her illness, that the final days and weeks of her life were as stress less and pain-free as could be managed. I wish to put on record my deep appreciation for the care given to my mum and have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

Mum moved to Hillview Court care home at short notice following a fire at another home. Delighted with the care, kindness and respect with which she is treated. Staff are extremely patient and take time to keep reassuring mum. Food good and choices given. I have confidence that mum is receiving the best care possible.

I am very impressed by the care, concern and support staff have given my mum. She can often get upset and tearful and staff deal with her with great kindness and respect. Staff are all very approachable and happy to talk to relatives and pass on any concerns to the nurses. My family are pleased that we held out for a place at Hillview for mum and we are very satisfied with her care.

My mum became a resident at Hillview Court in March 2016, since that time we have developed complete faith in the staff. They are kind, considerate, work very hard, nothing is too much trouble. I have complete confidence that my mum is in your hands. Her room is always spotless, fluffy towels hanging in her bathroom, her clothes neatly pressed in her wardrobe. A great place!!!

My dad was admitted into the dementia unit in Hillview over 2 years ago. On admission dad was a challenge both physically and verbally. It had been a long time since I saw dad smile, which was heartbreaking because he had such a wicked sense of humour. Although I know it has been tough for the staff at times, they have been very patient and caring to dad and this has paid dividends. Dad's smiling again!! He seems so settled, he still has the occasional outburst, but the staff know him well and can see the signs. Dad recognises the staff faces and he seems to trust them. Would I recommend this care home? Definitely. Both the manager and staff are very approachable, they always keep us updated. We can leave dad knowing he's safe and secure.
